President Duda: New Regulations Ensure Farmers Treated as Entrepreneurs, Eligible for Same Support

- I spoke today during the crisis management team meeting and later with the Prime Minister, with Minister of Development Jadwiga Emilewicz, about these very changes that I have recently proposed, which I consider essential, namely the introduction of the aforementioned relief, discussed in recent days, in the form of exempting micro-entrepreneurs and the self-employed from paying ZUS for three months. But this is also a matter of how farmers will be protected, and here, a three-month exemption from KRUS has been introduced into the draft bill. Regulations have also been introduced that mean farmers, including those running family farms, will be treated like entrepreneurs, i.e., like people running ordinary businesses. Therefore, all the same forms of aid will also be available to those engaged in agricultural activities. What I wanted to emphasize is that parents raising children up to the age of eight will also be able to use this benefit if the child attended kindergarten or school, a benefit for children up to the age of eight also in farming families – stated President Andrzej Duda at a press briefing.

PAD also informed that regulations concerning volunteer firefighters will be introduced into the anti-crisis package, i.e., exemption from periodic medical examinations and exams if they possess a certificate of completion for such a course.
