- I have decided to convene a Cabinet Council meeting. I want to discuss with the government the adoption of a specific support package for entrepreneurs and our economy. This situation shows how important close and consistent cooperation between the President and the government is. I am convinced that the responsible economic policy we have pursued, which has allowed us to achieve great success in recent years, will also bring good results in the face of global anxiety - stated President Andrzej Duda, announcing the Cabinet Council meeting at 10:00 AM. As announced, today Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is to present an economic package that Paweł Borys has called an economic bazooka. - The Prime Minister will present this package. I would call it an economic bazooka. It will be a fairly comprehensive package of proposals supporting primarily entrepreneurs, protecting the labor market, and stimulating economic growth - said the President of PFR yesterday on TOK FM, adding that the instruments supporting businesses should be available to companies within the next two weeks. PMM also spoke about a "stability and security package" at the last press conference. - We are working on a stability and security package. This package is needed because we realize that many sectors will suffer. The entire Polish and global economy, and in particular the European one, will certainly feel the effects of the fight against the coronavirus epidemic. Therefore, I want to emphasize that in the coming days we will present some concrete actions that the government has developed, and for which we will still be finalizing the details, so that both employees on the one hand and employers on the other receive some support from the state - stated the head of the Polish government. At 12:00 PM, a press conference will be held by Tomasz Trela, chief of staff for Robert Biedroń, and Marcelina, the election representative for the election committee, regarding the submission of signatures of support for Biedroń's registration as a presidential candidate. Furthermore, today a meeting of the Civic Platform board will take place, as announced yesterday by the leader of the Platform. - We are trying to ensure that meetings take place virtually.
