- We do not recommend going to places with a lot of people. If there is a small Mass in church on Sunday, I know the priests are announcing that there will be more Holy Masses, then as long as there are no more than 100 people there, we will attend. But we haven't decided yet - stated Jadwiga Emilewicz in a conversation with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

- We are not planning that today. There are no such decisions. We are not planning to close cities, to close shops. Grocery stores. Grocery stores will certainly not be closed. We do not want to cause people to start crowding somewhere, because today large gatherings of people are certainly not the best solution. So, there are no such plans today - she continued.

- The current restrictions appear to be sufficient. So one can move around calmly. Although we do not recommend it today. Today, above all, we recommend: let's stay home. Staying home is the best prevention for the coming weeks - stated Jadwiga Emilewicz in a conversation with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

- We want the solutions [from the so-called shield act] to enter into force on April 1st. This means we must pass the act through the Sejm during the session on March 25th. We hope, we believe that this session will take place – stated Jadwiga Emilewicz in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "One on One".

- The President, on one hand, drew huge crowds wherever he appeared, and on the other hand, he felt very comfortable in direct contact with people, so the change in campaign formula affects us greatly. But we have social media, the internet; campaigns can be conducted in other ways - said Adam Bielan in a conversation with Piotr Gocek on 'Sygnały dnia' on Jedynka radio.

- The President met yesterday with the authorities of major banks, the President of the National Bank of Poland, and representatives of the banking union to discuss how to alleviate the burden on individuals who, on the one hand, are paying high mortgage installments and, on the other hand, due to the disruption that the coronavirus has also introduced into the economy, will be unable to repay these installments in the coming months. There has been a positive response from the banks to the President's appeal. Such solutions will be implemented - Adam Bielan said in an interview with Piotr Goćek on "Sygnały dnia" on Polskie Radio Jedynka.

- The European Union authorities should be significantly more active in this matter. I would like to remind you that the Polish Prime Minister proposed a European Council session, an extraordinary European Council summit. This did not receive a positive response. It was only at our firm request, a week or two ago, that a meeting of health ministers took place. In Brussels, there was significant skepticism about not causing panic. But we are dealing with a pandemic - Adam Bielan said in an interview with Piotr Goćko on "Sygnały dnia" on Polish Radio One.

- For Poland, Schengen is, of course, a tremendous value. We view border closures as a last resort, and it may perhaps become a necessity. We are fully aware that the coronavirus, patient zero, the first detected patient with the virus, arrived in our country from Germany - said Adam Bielan in a conversation with Piotr Gocek on "Sygnały dnia" on Polish Radio 1.

- The President is not infected with the coronavirus - Paweł Mucha assured during a conversation with Beata Lubecka on the "Guest of Radio ZET" program, when asked about the head of state's health.

– Today, I am convinced that the state of epidemic threat is the right decision. As for the future, the answer to this question [about the measures taken] depends on how the situation develops – said Paweł Mucha in an interview with Beata Lubecka on the Radio ZET program "Guest of Radio ZET".

- For me, the opinions of Professor Pinkas, the Minister of Health Mr. Szumowski, and those experts who also support the President are the most authoritative. I haven't seen any proposals to completely close churches in the sphere of those professional statements – said Paweł Mucha in a conversation with Beata Lubecka on the program "Gość Radia ZET". 

"Various demands are emerging. The Prime Minister met yesterday and the day before yesterday with a range of groups, including local government officials, presidents, marshals, and entrepreneurs. At this moment, we are analyzing various options. We are verifying decisions made by our foreign partners" - said the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Minister Michał Dworczyk, in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Polskie Radio Program III.

„Nobody can accurately predict what will happen in a week, two, or three weeks. A lot of false information, fake news, is appearing in the public sphere. Yesterday, all day long, information that Warsaw was allegedly to be cut off heated everyone up emotionally. This is nonsense. More such information will likely appear. We deny this report” - said Michał Dworczyk, Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Radio Trójka.

– Today, in a moment, we will submit 150,000 signatures to the National Electoral Commission. I remember well when I started, when I made the decision that I would run for president, because Poland needs a truly non-partisan president and a real change in politics today – said Szymon Hołownia during a press conference.

- We are introducing 'life envelopes' to our offices for distribution. This is a globally known idea, also in Poland, but I think it's time for us to be even more useful and do all the good we can do in this difficult situation. These 'life envelopes', as you know how they work, we are dedicating them especially to the elderly. We put all medical documentation, information about allergies, about past illnesses into this envelope, place it on the refrigerator, stick the magnet that comes with it, and then the emergency medical team arriving at the home knows that all the medical documentation can be found in that refrigerator – said Szymon Hołownia during a press conference.

- We are appealing for several difficult decisions to be made. The first is related to the organization of Holy Masses. As you know, Lewica has been the first to appeal for days to cease organizing Holy Masses, for these Holy Masses not to take place through gatherings, but primarily through radio and television broadcasts - said Robert Biedroń during a press conference.

- It would be detrimental if the Catholic Church, which fails to make this difficult choice, were to bear the odium and responsibility for not making this decision at a certain point. The Concordat between the Holy See and the Republic of Poland clearly and explicitly provides grounds for this - Biedroń added. 

- As we know, hospitals are also in debt. Hospitals that often accrue debt of several to even tens of millions of zlotys every year. Their situation is very difficult, and we would like to get an answer regarding this situation. Will hospitals receive financial support? Will loan repayments be suspended? - said Robert Biedroń during a press conference.

“I remind you that our bill is in the Sejm regarding parents of children over 8 years of age being able to use compensation, they will be able to receive additional redress from this. They should receive this allowance at 100%. The difference between an 8-year-old and a 9-year-old child is very small” – stated Civic Coalition presidential candidate, Deputy Marshal Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, at a press conference in front of the Sejm.

“The package being prepared by the government with Minister Emilewicz is far from sufficient. Furthermore, it is not being consulted at all within the Social Dialogue Council. Madam Marshal Kidawa-Błońska has spent the last few days in negotiations, talking with experts and entrepreneurs. I am presenting our recommendations, which we will submit to the Sejm in the form of a bill in a few days, and we appeal to the government to begin work on an anti-virus package as quickly as possible, transcending party divisions. It is necessary to cease the collection of taxes and ZUS contributions from companies whose revenues have fallen by at least 20%. It is essential to ensure company liquidity by making VAT sub-accounts available. We absolutely must make working hours more flexible due to interrupted supply chains,” said Izabela Leszczyna from Civic Coalition (KO) at a press conference in front of the Sejm.

- By submitting half a million signatures today, which is a huge number, we are showing that change is indeed needed in Poland, but we are also going through a very difficult time right now. Therefore, we have decided to end the signature collection phase for now and move on to the next stage of our work and activities. Our civic headquarters across Poland, our hundreds of volunteers, will now transform into headquarters that will provide assistance to local governments. To all those who will expect this help. We will make ourselves available to everyone who is managing this difficult situation in Poland. I am thinking here of presidents, mayors, every public figure who is involved in helping people - said Bartosz Arłukowicz during a press conference in front of the National Electoral Commission (PKW). 

- All sorts of rumors are appearing. Among others, I hear a rumor that a state of emergency is to be introduced. There is no such motion at this moment from the Council of Ministers. There is no such motion, it is not even at the stage of consideration at this time - said President Andrzej Duda during a briefing in Ciechanów.

On Friday evening (between 7 PM and 8 PM), a briefing is scheduled to take place with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and ministers, during which information will be conveyed about further steps aimed at limiting the spread of the virus with the least possible impact on the course of daily activities.

- There has only been one case of the virus so far [in Małopolska]. All services are operating very efficiently. All services are reacting immediately to any information received. There is essentially only one problem, which exists throughout Poland. Not just in Poland, as it also exists in other countries. There is concern whether there will be enough personal protective equipment for doctors and nurses, for medical staff, and for how long it will last. This is certainly a problem that we will have to somehow address – said President Andrzej Duda after a meeting with the Małopolska Voivode in Krakow.

"The borders remain open for the flow of goods. There is no basis for concern or fear that we will run out of food. Poland is, moreover, a major food producer, one of the largest food producers, and we have very significant surpluses. It's clear that the short-lived panic about shops and the rapid stockpiling of goods was entirely unnecessary" - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

"International passenger air connections, as well as rail connections, will be suspended. They will be suspended from midnight on the night of Saturday to Sunday. We are thus closing the door to the pandemic. We are closing off the danger and thereby protecting Polish citizens. „All shops remain open. Banks, service points, ATMs – there will be no shortage of funds or cash. I have spoken with the relevant authorities from the central bank and the KNF [Polish Financial Supervision Authority], and the Ministry of Finance. “Our primary task, as I see it, is to halt the rapid growth rate that our neighbors have registered. This is important for the health of our citizens, so that our healthcare system can cope with this epidemic in the best possible way. Our services, local government services, central administration services, in particular the Chief Sanitary Inspector and the entire institution, are ready to act. I wanted to thank them very much for this, but in particular, I wanted to thank all the nurses, doctors, and healthcare workers who spare no effort, their own strength, and are doing everything to properly care for Poles” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

„It is very important to limit movement in restaurants, bars, clubs, and pubs. We have decided to suspend the operations of all restaurants, clubs, pubs, bars, casinos, and other entertainment venues because that's where people gather. All infectious disease specialists warn us against allowing people to congregate in such clusters. All restaurants, cafes, and similar service establishments can continue to offer takeaway and delivery services” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

"We have sufficient protective equipment for healthcare. We have over 10,000 ventilators. However, it is important that the rate of increase in people contracting the coronavirus does not reach such dizzying growth as in Italy or Spain. Every day, orders from healthcare facilities and hospitals are directed to government warehouses at ARM. These are being fulfilled," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

„Ahead of us lies a time of social trial, a time of intergenerational solidarity. I am certain that we will pass this exam perfectly, and our greatest asset will be calmness, which will lead to this – I believe that Poland will get through this epidemic more safely than most European countries. For this purpose, we must guarantee additional funds and additional restrictions, which we are now announcing” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

- For now, there is no talk of changing the election date. As I said, there is no talk of a request being made to declare a state of emergency. If a state of emergency were declared, it would indeed automatically mean a postponement of the election date, but such a situation does not exist today - said President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

- This is a decision for the Prime Minister and those who will be going to Russia. I can say that I am not going to Russia. Of course, we had a plan to go to Ukraine, but at a slightly later date, specifically on the anniversary of the Katyń massacre - the President added.

- I must say there was significant goodwill from the banking sector. No one objected to this. Of course, it is a matter of details, which I asked to be agreed upon under the auspices of the KNF (Polish Financial Supervision Authority), the NBP (National Bank of Poland), and the Ministry of Finance. I want such an agreement to be reached and I want banks, primarily the largest ones, to implement it as soon as possible - said President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of the Event) on Polsat News.

- I encourage Prime Minister Donald Tusk, considering that he held a very prominent position in the EU for several years, ultimately serving as President of the European Council, to urge his colleagues to dynamically implement the necessary support programs.
