Continued Election Campaign. The upcoming week is primarily dedicated to the continuation of the presidential campaign. As one might expect, the coming days will focus on discussions about the coronavirus, as well as President Duda's decision to sign into law the bill compensating public media. Robert Biedroń's campaign team has already scheduled a press conference on this matter for Monday.
CJEU Hearing on the Supreme Court Disciplinary Chamber. On Monday, the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the EU will hold a hearing of the parties in the case concerning the European Commission's request for the temporary suspension of the Supreme Court's Disciplinary Chamber.
Constitutional Tribunal on Competence Dispute. On Thursday, the proceedings – initiated at the request of the Marshal of the Sejm – will continue in the case of a competence dispute between the Sejm and the Supreme Court, and between the President and the Supreme Court. The Constitutional Tribunal will consider the case in its full composition. The presiding judge of the adjudicating panel is TK President Julia Przyłębska, and the rapporteur is TK judge Krystyna Pawłowicz.
Senate Session. A two-day Senate session will begin on Thursday, during which senators will address, among other things, the so-called Senate bill on the KRS (National Council of the Judiciary), government-proposed changes to OFE (Open Pension Funds), and the introduction of the so-called sugar tax and excise duty on small alcoholic beverages.
Poland's Rating Update. The rating agency Moody's has scheduled two potential dates for a review of Poland's rating this year – the first is due on Friday.
Bosak's Convention. Krzysztof Bosak's election convention is scheduled to take place on Saturday. As announced, it is expected to be one of the more significant events of the election campaign for the Confederation candidate for president. Details are not yet known.
