Thursday's Political Agenda: PM Meets Opposition, Kidawa-Błońska in Wielkopolska, Senate Committees on COVID-19 Special Bill, Government Reshuffle, President in Chełmno

Today, Prime Minister Morawiecki is scheduled to meet with leaders of all opposition parties. Yesterday, the head of the Polish government announced that he had already signed the letters, which will be sent this morning. Our sources close to the government indicate that the meeting is planned for today because if the opposition desired a meeting, readiness is present.

- I can declare today, as I have signed the letters, although they will be sent out tomorrow morning. However, I will take this opportunity to announce on air that I am inviting all leaders of opposition parties. Tomorrow, I want to very thoroughly present the course of our discussion today at the crisis staff and show how we are implementing best practices step by step, because as information from around the world reaches us, we can see how the French, Spanish, and German governments are operating. Not only do we have nothing to be ashamed of, but I am receiving communications that we are indeed very well prepared - said PMM on Polsat News.

At **10:00 AM**, at the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda will make changes to the composition of the Council of Ministers. This is a consequence of the entry into force of the so-called divisional act and Prime Minister Morawiecki's request to appoint the current ministers-members of the Council of Ministers to their substantive offices - Konrad Szymański and Michał Woś.

At **6:00 PM**, President Andrzej Duda will meet with residents in Chełmno. Also today in Chełmno, the President will meet with the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivode, Mikołaj Bogdanowicz. Following the meeting, around **8:10 PM**, a press briefing by the President is planned.

At **11:00 AM**, in front of the Presidential Palace, Krzysztof Bosak will hold a press conference, during which the candidate will present his election slogan. At **12:00 PM**, Robert Biedroń will hold a press conference in Katowice. Another press conference by the Lewica candidate for president is planned for **3:00 PM** in Mikołów, and at **5:30 PM** - an election rally with supporters.

At **1:00 PM** in Warsaw, Szymon Hołownia will present his campaign slogan and the Four Principles of Hołownia. The event will feature performances by, among others, General Mirosław Różański, Łukasz Krasoń, Adrianna Porowska, Dorota Cichocka, and Stanisław Zakroczymski. The meeting will be held in a continuous format.

At **10:00 AM**, a public hearing of the so-called Senate bill on the National Council of the Judiciary will be held at a joint session of two Senate committees: Legislative and Human Rights, Rule of Law, and Petitions. Subsequently, at **3:00 PM**, two Senate committees: Health and Legislative, will consider the act on special solutions related to the prevention, combating, and eradication of COVID-19, other infectious diseases, and crisis situations caused by them, i.e., the so-called COVID-19 special bill.

**9:45 AM** - Press briefing by Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the municipal market in Oborniki

Budka on meeting with the Prime Minister: PO to be represented by Siemoniak and Kierwiński

"Mr. Tomasz Siemoniak [will be at the meeting with the Prime Minister] and Secretary Marcin Kierwiński. I believe these are competent individuals. Above all, Mr. Tomasz Siemoniak has extensive experience in crisis management," said the chairman of Civic Platform, Borys Budka, in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on TOK FM Radio's Poranek.

08:24

Budka on Coronavirus: For Weeks We Heard There Was No Threat, Then the Sejm Was Panicked into Convening

"For weeks we heard there was no threat, and then the Sejm was panicked into convening, timed with the election calendar. From the very beginning, I declared all help from the Civic Coalition (KO) club, because we are responsible. We submitted a draft law on February 14th. At that time, we were told it was unnecessary" - said the leader of Civic Platform, Borys Budka, in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on Radio TOK FM's Poranek.

08:27

Budka:

I Don't Regret Supporting the Special Coronavirus Act

"I do not regret supporting this act [the special coronavirus act] because it is important to treat the serious threats that lie ahead of us in state terms, and we clearly declared that solutions should be introduced that give the government the ability to act quickly. We will be observing the implementation of this act" - said the Civic Platform leader Borys Budka in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on Radio TOK FM's 'Poranek' (Morning Show).

Sasin:

The Entire Government is Working in Emergency Mode

The entire government is working in emergency mode. This is not just a matter for the Minister of Health. The Material Reserves Agency is an institution that reports to me and plays a huge role in ensuring the adequate supply of products necessary to effectively combat the coronavirus. We are intensively seeking opportunities to increase the state's resources in this regard,” said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Polish Radio Channel 3.

09:01

Sasin:

PiS's presidential candidate is President Andrzej Duda. Tabloid reports should not be taken seriously

"PiS's presidential candidate is President Andrzej Duda. I don't know why you are talking about some new candidate. There are really serious issues in our country. Reports from some tabloid – they should not be taken seriously. The President is currently considering the matter of signing the act on financial support, compensation for public media for lost revenues. The President will make such a decision. He has until tomorrow to make such a decision, and we are awaiting such a decision. These types of reports should not be taken seriously," said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Radio Trójka.

09:06

Sasin:

Opposition Candidate and the Opposition See a Great Opportunity to Gain Political Capital from Threats to Poles' Health
"The opposition candidate [Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska], and the opposition more broadly, see a great opportunity to gain political capital from threats to Poles' health, and this is really not the way to go. We want to cooperate with the opposition in this regard. State institutions will cooperate. We have an announcement from the Prime Minister about a meeting with the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery and the Minister of Health with representatives of the opposition" – said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Polish Radio Trójka.

09:38

Sasin on Kidawa-Błońska's Proposed Coronavirus Team: What's its purpose? To act competitively against state institutions? To sow anxiety? This is irresponsible

"The creation of such a team [as proposed by Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, a team to monitor the coronavirus], what is its purpose? Is it to act competitively against state institutions? Is it to sow anxiety? Is it to convince Poles that things are bad, that we are unprepared for this? This is irresponsible action. Action calculated to play on emotions. One cannot prey on people's fears and try to win political games here" - said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Radio Trójka.

09:45

Girzyński:

Two Key Areas to Be Addressed, I Know the President Will Speak On Them
Two key areas will be addressed, and I know the President will speak on them. I don't want to reveal details as I am not authorized to do so. One is the area broadly understood as healthcare, as we have a lot to do here, although the government is doing a lot to catch up. And the second area, which I know the President wants to tackle and present interesting proposals on, is retirement care – stated Zbigniew Girzyński in an interview with Jacek Gądek in the Morning Conversation on Gazeta.pl.

Duda Appoints Szymański as Minister for EU Affairs and Woś as Minister of Environment:

Today's Act Sanctions Changes Long Underway, Gradually Implemented.
  • Firstly, congratulations. Secondly, I am very pleased that with today's act, we are essentially sanctioning changes that have, in fact, been gradually implemented for a long time. I am glad that I could present these nominations to the ministers. Theoretically, it might seem like a minor change, as you have both been effectively fulfilling these roles and functioning as ministers to a significant extent. You have both been working in the government for a long time, so this isn't an entry into government. However, the changes are nevertheless significant. Above all, I want to draw attention to the creation of a dedicated office for the Minister for European Affairs. This demonstrates how important European matters are to the Council of Ministers, and to the Polish state. The minister has long been a specialist in this field. I am convinced that he handles these matters excellently. Especially since, as I said, the minister has been dealing with them essentially from the very beginning of his time in government. So, to both ministers, I wish you success in your further work. Thank you all very much for attending. I sincerely congratulate you on the completion of these official acts related to the changes in the Council of Ministers. Formally, these are changes in the Council of Ministers, although in reality, the individuals are not changing. But above all, it is still a structural change, and I congratulate you on its realization and on you taking on these functions. I also sincerely thank you for formally undertaking these duties today, because it is important that the affairs of the Republic of Poland, and especially matters important to our citizens and our state, are conducted in an orderly manner.
- said President Andrzej Duda at the Presidential Palace after making changes to the government's composition.

10:51

Kidawa-Błońska:

The Issue of Women Born in '53 Persists Because the Senate's Bill Remains Stalled in the Sejm
“The issue of women born in ’53 keeps coming back because, indeed, the bill prepared by the Senate is still lying in the Sejm. This is a very important matter, which I hope we will resolve. This is a topic that resurfaces wherever women affected by this issue are present,” said the Civic Coalition (KO) presidential candidate and Deputy Marshal Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at a press conference in Oborniki.

Bosak Unveils Electoral Slogan

Forward Poland! - This is the electoral slogan for Krzysztof Bosak's presidential campaign. The Confederation candidate presented it at a press conference in front of the Presidential Palace.

- Forward Poland embodies the dynamism of our circles, expressing the unfulfilled aspirations of our nation, our society, for a better Poland - he said.

- We want Poland to develop, to not be stifled by unnecessary regulations. We want Poland to be proud, to be strong, so that no one dictates to Poland under what values we should build our legal order, our systemic order - he emphasized.

Bosak announced that a nationwide electoral convention will take place on March 14.

Gdańsk-based Blirt Company Awarded 3.5 Million PLN Government Contract for Coronavirus Tests. A person connected to this company, serving on the supervisory board and as a co-owner/shareholder, is Jerzy Milewski, an associate and advisor to the Pr
Jadwiga Emilewicz wrote on Twitter and stated publicly at one of the meetings that the coronavirus is a good opportunity for Polish entrepreneurs to earn, and this is essentially the first such situation we have. The Gdańsk-based company Blirt received a government contract worth 3.5 million PLN a few days ago for the production of coronavirus tests. However, what is particularly important is that a person connected to this company, serving on the supervisory board, former owner of this company, a man who is a co-owner and shareholder, is Jerzy Milewski. He is an associate and advisor to Andrzej Duda, and it is precisely his company that received this contract. This is a company that recorded a 1.5 million PLN loss last year, and this year, it has just secured a government contract worth 3.5 million PLN. Following this decision, Blirt's share price more than tripled in value. Jerzy Milewski is a person closely associated with PiS, he is an associate and advisor to Andrzej Duda, and he is also a PiS councilor. Therefore, we ask why this particular company received this contract, why people connected to the authorities are receiving contracts in this situation of particular health risk? – Adam Szłapka said at a press conference.

15:04

Leszczyna:

We didn't expect PiS to want PiS activists to profit from the epidemic. We didn't expect PAD to be involved.

- We didn't expect that before the special act comes into force, because it doesn't apply today yet, PiS would want PiS activists to profit from the epidemic. We didn't expect President Duda, who is seeking a second term, to be involved in these actions, because his close associate, a member of the National Economic Council at the President's office, is a person who is or is already proving to be a beneficiary of a government contract worth over PLN 3 million. It is scandalous that PiS wants to profit from the fears, anxieties, and health and lives of Poles - stated Izabela Leszczyna at a briefing.

- This is not the first time that PiS has mistaken the Republic of Poland for a farm. This is not the first time that people associated with PiS, and Andrzej Duda, have made a grab for public funds. What is completely immoral is that they are doing it again to the poorest. First, for example, the PCK affair, the looting of containers, and now, in the context of the special act and the coronavirus, which Polish women and men are simply very afraid of, it turns out that by a strange coincidence, through a manual decision, money is going to a company associated with President Duda's people - said Barbara Nowacka.

- It is not the case that this is the only company that can perform such an order. It is not the case that only one company can bring us these tests. This is a conscious political choice, and we are asking Duda and people associated with PiS: how much longer do you intend to rule by fear and prey on the Polish state? We completely disagree with this and have responsibly sat down at the negotiating table regarding the special act on the coronavirus. We agreed to provisions that are difficult and controversial, but the times are difficult and extraordinary. However, Mr. Milewski is still a collaborator of the President. Is this a coincidence? Will President Duda explain how it is possible that companies associated with PiS are once again profiting from the Polish state? - she continued.

Hołownia Unveils His Four Slogans: 'President of Different Poles,' 'Enough Party Politics,' 'Church and State in Their Place,' 'Generations, Not Terms'

We only have 5 years, and there's 20 years, or even more, of work to be done. Please, don't follow me, but walk with me. Constructive action must always arise from anger and disagreement. Anger in itself and saying 'enough' is not sufficient. We must immediately, all hands on deck, get to work and take care of our country. These four slogans are my commitment, which I make today. I will do everything to adhere to them with you over these 5 years of the presidential term” - said presidential candidate Szymon Hołownia.

Kosiniak-Kamysz Ahead of Meeting with PM: We Expect Concrete Actions, Not a Propaganda Spectacle

"It is important that in the face of threats, we are able to talk and collectively seek areas that require fixing, so that we can be safe," said the Polish Coalition presidential candidate and leader of PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, at a press conference.

https://twitter.com/KosiniakKamysz/status/1235523571146989568

"We hope that this meeting will be the beginning of a real conversation about the state of Polish healthcare, which we have been appealing for years," added Paweł Kukiz.

Dworczyk After KPRM Meeting: From Monday, Daily Bulletins with Key Information to Every Parliamentary Club

- Everyone, this needs to be emphasized, and thanks again to the opposition representatives, managed to rise above divisions. Everyone was able to join President Duda's appeal not to discuss this politically. The Prime Minister presented current information, and secondly, in response to the opposition representatives' expectations regarding this information, he stated that from Monday, a daily information bulletin with the most important updates will be sent to every parliamentary club every morning. Also, meetings like today's will take place cyclically and regularly, during which we will exchange remarks and information on an ongoing basis. Several concrete proposals were also made by representatives of opposition clubs, for example, printing leaflets in Ukrainian. We will, of course, take advantage of these suggestions - said Michał Dworczyk after the Prime Minister's meeting with opposition representatives at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

17:37

Siemoniak:

We Presented Our Expectation to PM Morawiecki and His Ministers to Exclude the Fight Against Coronavirus from the Current Political Campaign

- We presented our expectation to Prime Minister Morawiecki and his ministers to exclude the fight against coronavirus from the current political campaign. The matter is too serious and has too great an impact on the health of millions of Poles to be used for politics, especially during an election campaign. We emphasized the issue of cooperation with local governments, that the political divisions present in Poland should not affect the cooperation between voivodes and local government officials. The Prime Minister assured [us] that he would pass on such signals to the voivodes - stated Tomasz Siemoniak after the meeting with Prime Minister Morawiecki.

19:35

President Duda: The "Kolej Plus" Program Will Restore and Build Railway Connections – Not High-Speed, but Local Lines for Your Regions

- Programs for railways. Just like the "Kolej Plus" program I signed yesterday in Końskie, thanks to which railway connections will be restored and built. Not the high-speed ones, but precisely these smaller, local railways, those that run in your regions, those that people use to get to work. That's the point – for them to exist. Yesterday, a symbol of that moment was the train station in Końskie with windows boarded up with sheet metal. Long-defunct, long-decaying and rusty tracks. We want all of this to be reversed. We are allocating over PLN 6 billion for this purpose - said President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with the residents of Chełmno.

19:39

PAD:

When a Mistake is Made, the President Must Intervene and Halt Actions, Even Those of Their Own Political Camp. This is the Presidential Duty.

- Of course, when a mistake is made, when a decision is wrong, the president must intervene and must halt the actions of even their own political camp, from which they emerged and which supports them. This is precisely the president's task. This is the presidential duty, and I am fulfilling these duties – said President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with residents of Chełmno.

19:45

President Duda: Urge your loved ones to vote, and to vote for me, to continue positive trends and Poland's repair
I am asking for more. I ask you to talk to your loved ones, to talk to your friends, your neighbors, above all, to go to the elections. But also persuade them to vote for me, so that good trends are maintained, so that Poland can continue to be repaired well, so that we can continue to build a prosperous Poland, a Poland of agency, a Poland that counts, a proud Poland, based on our tradition. The one that is 1050 years old. The Christian tradition from which our entire culture has grown - said President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with residents of Chełmno.

19:54

Szumowski:

I Don't Expect a Rapid Increase in Cases in Poland. I Expect Another Two or Three Individuals to Have Confirmed Results

- I don't expect such a rapid increase [in cases in Poland]. I expect rather two or three more individuals to have confirmed results. Fortunately, we have the situation of the first patient in Poland under control from an epidemiological point of view. If we have the chance to react as quickly and efficiently as in this case, then we have a chance to significantly delay the kind of outbreak we are seeing in Italy - stated Łukasz Szumowski in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

19:58

President Duda: '500 plus and 300 plus are not handouts, they are investments in Polish families'
Some people say, 'This is a handout. 500 plus and 300 plus are handouts. Enough of these handouts.' Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a handout at all; these are investments by the Polish state in Polish families. These are investments by the Polish state in children. So that children don't have complexes, so they can realize their dreams, so they can lead healthy lives, so they can go on vacation, so parents can buy them better food, so children are better dressed. That's what this money is for; it's an investment by the Polish state in the family; it's real pro-family policy. That's how I perceive it. For me, it's an important element of the system enshrined in the Polish constitution – said President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with the residents of Chełmno.

20:01

Szumowski:

We Have the Capacity to Conduct Up to 2,000 Tests Per Day
We can perform up to 2,000 tests [per day] at the moment. New laboratories are joining. Those that are already operating have accelerated further, which means we have the capacity to conduct up to 2,000 tests per day - stated Łukasz Szumowski in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

20:11

Zybertowicz on the Broadcasting Fee Act: I Don't Know What the President Will Do. If My Advisory Opinion Were Binding, I Would Advise Him to Sign It

- I don't know what [the president] will do. If my advisory opinion were binding, I would advise him to sign this act. I believe that what the opposition has done around the issue of oncology is demagoguery, manipulation, and insincerity - said Andrzej Zybertowicz in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (The Tipping Point).

- From the moment when the then-Prime Minister Donald Tusk shot himself in the foot and encouraged people not to pay the broadcasting fee for television, television has had problems balancing its budget - Zybertowicz added.

20:11

Szumowski:

We Didn't Check the Shareholders of Companies. In Our Situation, We Bought Tests from All Companies That Expressed Readiness
Frankly speaking, I also read about [the fact that a company co-owned by President Duda's associate received a government contract for the production of coronavirus tests]. I don't know this, because we didn't check the shareholders of companies. In the situation we are in, we bought tests from all companies that expressed such readiness. Some even, unfortunately, informed us of their readiness to supply a large quantity of tests, and shortly thereafter reduced that quantity tenfold. We bought from three sources - Spain, Turkey, and Great Britain. Therefore, we are taking tests that are available on the market - stated Łukasz Szumowski in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News.

President Duda After Meeting with Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivode: Services are on alert, everything is proceeding smoothly, and there is absolutely no danger at this moment

- Thank you to the Voivode. Thank you to the inspectors and commanders for this meeting and for all the information they provided me about the situation here in the voivodeship regarding the coronavirus. Fortunately, there have been no confirmed cases of coronavirus here thus far. Of course, there have been individuals who may have had contact with the coronavirus and are currently under quarantine, but a domestic one. It can be said that the problem does not exist for now. These individuals, as you can hear, have been isolated, so they are aware that this problem might affect them, but we hope it won't. I asked the Commander of the State Fire Service how yesterday's drills went. The Commander assured me that everything went very well and that further tasks related to delivering containers to hospitals, where a makeshift reception area could be created for potential infected individuals, will be carried out. These actions are being conducted systematically, all services are on alert, everything is proceeding smoothly, and absolutely no danger that would be in any way visible or signaled is present here at this moment – said President Andrzej Duda after the meeting with the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivode.

Duda Asked About First or Second Round: 'I'm Focusing Primarily on Work. Campaigning is Work to Continue This Service for Poland and My Compatriots'

- I'm focusing primarily on work. Campaigning is work, my daily tasks are service for the Republic of Poland. Campaigning is work to be able to continue this service, and for Poland, for my compatriots. I am very grateful for the support, I am very grateful to Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister Beata Szydło. To all those who actually support me daily and act in this one direction, so that this presidential mandate is extended by Poles - said President Andrzej Duda in TV Trwam and Radio Maryja, when asked whether he was preparing for the first or second round of the presidential elections.

President Duda: A Major Support Program for Farmers Will Be Announced Soon

- A major support program for farmers will be announced soon. That's for sure. Meanwhile, we are fighting hard right now. I am very happy that Janusz Wojciechowski has become the EU Commissioner for Agriculture. We fought precisely for a Pole to get this portfolio. Wojciechowski was the best suited for this role, and I am glad that he has taken on this function - said President Andrzej Duda on TV Trwam and Radio Maryja.

President Duda on Raising the Retirement Age: "Kosiniak-Kamysz was in Tusk's government, so his face sort of endorsed the whole undertaking. Kidawa-Błońska was also involved."

- People were so disgusted, so upset that Donald Tusk raised the retirement age against his electoral promises. I knew that this was the number one demand and, in general, a condition for people to believe that these commitments would be fulfilled. Yes, [Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz was a minister in Donald Tusk's government], so his face here sort of endorsed the whole undertaking. That's the truth. But Marshal Kidawa-Błońska was also involved in this. After all, she was also in Donald Tusk's government at the time. These are the facts - said President Andrzej Duda on TV Trwam and Radio Maryja.

President Duda: Oncology Spending Will Increase, Making Opposition's Argument Demagogic

- Two billion is indeed a very high amount, although we must be clear that the argument that it could go towards cancer diseases, towards oncology, is simply ordinary demagoguery and, above all, a distortion of reality. This is because it does not do justice to those who decide on oncology budgeting today. Because if we compare it to the times when Civic Platform ruled Poland, then in 2015, a little over 7 billion PLN was spent on oncology, while this year 11 billion is allocated to oncology. That's almost 4 billion more. 4 billion, given these amounts, is a 40% increase. Therefore, this increase since 2015 is enormous, and it's much more than 2 billion. And this support for oncology will certainly continue to be realized, because we have adopted and are implementing the National Oncology Strategy. Consequently, there will be support for oncology. There will be a very good program of oncological care for citizens, starting with education, because we need to teach people what to do to avoid cancer diseases as much as possible, meaning how we should eat, live, etc. This should be implemented among children so that adults are also fully aware - said President Andrzej Duda on TV Trwam and Radio Maryja.

- That's one. Second. Prevention. That is, screening, checking, monitoring. So that these possibilities for control exist and are popular, so that people go for check-ups, monitor their health. Third. If it turns out that someone has contracted a oncological disease, then to detect it as quickly as possible and undertake the most effective therapy, i.e., treatment. Fourth - finally, rehabilitation for the sick, and care, because of course it will always be the case that there will be cancers that cannot be cured, so care for the sick, for oncological diseases. So, the entire cycle, which is generally related to oncological diseases, is covered by this National Oncology Strategy - PAD continued.

"Spending on oncology will increase, so this is a demagogic argument. The opposition indeed came out with it, but they should also beat their chests and remember how they themselves cared for oncology. Today, the situation is completely different, and even such serious doctors as former health ministers in the Civic Platform governments admit that in this area of healthcare, and especially oncology, what the Polish authorities are doing today is being done well. Of course, not everything can be done at once, because repairing Polish healthcare is a gigantic task that no one has managed to accomplish so far. Most were even afraid to undertake this task. I believe that we must undertake this task and we must repair healthcare in its subsequent segments. We need to have more doctors, above all, so we need to train them. I am glad that we have significantly increased the number of places for students in medical studies. In a few years, we will have more doctors. Unfortunately, there are still shortages in many specialties today. There are simply unpopular specialties. We need to do something to increase their popularity, so that we have more doctors, nurses. This is also a matter of remuneration. Or perhaps primarily a matter of remuneration. We have significantly increased the remuneration for nurses. The remuneration for doctors is already high. Of course, all of this costs money, but we are aware that increasing healthcare expenditures will be necessary, and we are prepared to realize these increasing expenditures. But we also want the system to work well, hospitals to be managed optimally, so that money is not wasted, so that there is no waste. These are also very important elements, simply to ensure honesty in managing these funds and resources allocated to healthcare. Therefore, we are taking care of this, and this argument about oncology is absolutely untrue, demagogic, and I would even say dishonest in this entire discussion."

President Duda on Compensation for Public Media: I Still Have Time to Make This Decision, and I Will Make It Within the Constitutional Deadline

- Regarding the issue of the subscription fee, I will say this: The President has 21 days to sign a bill or make another decision regarding the bill. He can refer it to the Constitutional Tribunal, to the Sejm for reconsideration, or, as they popularly say, veto it. I still have time to make this decision, and I will make it within the constitutional deadline – said President Andrzej Duda on TV Trwam and Radio Maryja.
