The Prime Minister launched a 100 million reserve last week as part of the general reserve of the Prime Minister. For applications that will be received through voivodes and now such applications have already arrived from certain voivodeships. They are going through the Ministry of Health. “The entire government is working in emergency mode. This is not just a matter for the Minister of Health. The Material Reserves Agency is an institution that reports to me and plays a huge role in ensuring the adequate supply of products necessary to effectively combat the coronavirus. We are intensively seeking opportunities to increase the state's resources in this regard,” said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Polish Radio Channel 3.

"PiS's presidential candidate is President Andrzej Duda. I don't know why you are talking about some new candidate. There are really serious issues in our country. Reports from some tabloid – they should not be taken seriously. The President is currently considering the matter of signing the act on financial support, compensation for public media for lost revenues. The President will make such a decision. He has until tomorrow to make such a decision, and we are awaiting such a decision. These types of reports should not be taken seriously," said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Radio Trójka.

"The opposition candidate [Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska], and the opposition more broadly, see a great opportunity to gain political capital from threats to Poles' health, and this is really not the way to go. "The creation of such a team [as proposed by Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, a team to monitor the coronavirus], what is its purpose? Is it to act competitively against state institutions? Is it to sow anxiety? Is it to convince Poles that things are bad, that we are unprepared for this? This is irresponsible action. Action calculated to play on emotions. One cannot prey on people's fears and try to win political games here" - said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Radio Trójka.

Two key areas will be addressed, and I know the President will speak on them. I don't want to reveal details as I am not authorized to do so. One is the area broadly understood as healthcare, as we have a lot to do here, although the government is doing a lot to catch up. Jadwiga Emilewicz wrote on Twitter and stated publicly at one of the meetings that the coronavirus is a good opportunity for Polish entrepreneurs to earn, and this is essentially the first such situation we have. The Gdańsk-based company Blirt received a government contract worth 3.5 million PLN a few days ago for the production of coronavirus tests. However, what is particularly important is that a person connected to this company, serving on the supervisory board, former owner of this company, a man who is a co-owner and shareholder, is Jerzy Milewski. He is an associate and advisor to Andrzej Duda, and it is precisely his company that received this contract. This is a company that recorded a 1.5 million PLN loss last year, and this year, it has just secured a government contract worth 3.5 million PLN. Following this decision, Blirt's share price more than tripled in value. Jerzy Milewski is a person closely associated with PiS, he is an associate and advisor to Andrzej Duda, and he is also a PiS councilor. Therefore, we ask why this particular company received this contract, why people connected to the authorities are receiving contracts in this situation of particular health risk? – Adam Szłapka said at a press conference.

- We didn't expect that before the special act comes into force, because it doesn't apply today yet, PiS would want PiS activists to profit from the epidemic. We didn't expect President Duda, who is seeking a second term, to be involved in these actions, because his close associate, a member of the National Economic Council at the President's office, is a person who is or is already proving to be a beneficiary of a government contract worth over PLN 3 million. It is scandalous that PiS wants to profit from the fears, anxieties, and health and lives of Poles - stated Izabela Leszczyna at a briefing.

- This is not the first time that PiS has mistaken the Republic of Poland for a farm. This is not the first time that people associated with PiS, and Andrzej Duda, have made a grab for public funds. What is completely immoral is that they are doing it again to the poorest. First, for example, the PCK affair, the looting of containers, and now, in the context of the special act and the coronavirus, which Polish women and men are simply very afraid of, it turns out that by a strange coincidence, through a manual decision, money is going to a company associated with President Duda's people - said Barbara Nowacka.

- It is not the case that this is the only company that can perform such an order. It is not the case that only one company can bring us these tests. This is a conscious political choice, and we are asking Duda and people associated with PiS: how much longer do you intend to rule by fear and prey on the Polish state? We completely disagree with this and have responsibly sat down at the negotiating table regarding the special act on the coronavirus. We agreed to provisions that are difficult and controversial, but the times are difficult and extraordinary. However, Mr. Milewski is still a collaborator of the President. Is this a coincidence? Will President Duda explain how it is possible that companies associated with PiS are once again profiting from the Polish state? - she continued.

- Programs for railways. Just like the "Kolej Plus" program I signed yesterday in Końskie, thanks to which railway connections will be restored and built. Yesterday, a symbol of that moment was the train station in Końskie with windows boarded up with sheet metal. Long-defunct, long-decaying and rusty tracks. We want all of this to be reversed. - Of course, when a mistake is made, when a decision is wrong, the president must intervene and must halt the actions of even their own political camp, from which they emerged and which supports them. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a handout at all; these are investments by the Polish state in Polish families. These are investments by the Polish state in children. So that children don't have complexes, so they can realize their dreams, so they can lead healthy lives, so they can go on vacation, so parents can buy them better food, so children are better dressed. That's what this money is for; it's an investment by the Polish state in the family; it's real pro-family policy. That's how I perceive it. We can perform up to 2,000 tests [per day] at the moment. New laboratories are joining. I knew that this was the number one demand and, in general, a condition for people to believe that these commitments would be fulfilled. Yes, [Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz was a minister in Donald Tusk's government], so his face here sort of endorsed the whole undertaking. That's the truth. - Two billion is indeed a very high amount, although we must be clear that the argument that it could go towards cancer diseases, towards oncology, is simply ordinary demagoguery and, above all, a distortion of reality. This is because it does not do justice to those who decide on oncology budgeting today. Because if we compare it to the times when Civic Platform ruled Poland, then in 2015, a little over 7 billion PLN was spent on oncology, while this year 11 billion is allocated to oncology. That's almost 4 billion more. 4 billion, given these amounts, is a 40% increase. Therefore, this increase since 2015 is enormous, and it's much more than 2 billion. And this support for oncology will certainly continue to be realized, because we have adopted and are implementing the National Oncology Strategy. Consequently, there will be support for oncology. There will be a very good program of oncological care for citizens, starting with education, because we need to teach people what to do to avoid cancer diseases as much as possible, meaning how we should eat, live, etc. This should be implemented among children so that adults are also fully aware - said President Andrzej Duda on TV Trwam and Radio Maryja.

- That's one. Second. Prevention. That is, screening, checking, monitoring. So that these possibilities for control exist and are popular, so that people go for check-ups, monitor their health. Third. If it turns out that someone has contracted a oncological disease, then to detect it as quickly as possible and undertake the most effective therapy, i.e., treatment. Fourth - finally, rehabilitation for the sick, and care, because of course it will always be the case that there will be cancers that cannot be cured, so care for the sick, for oncological diseases. So, the entire cycle, which is generally related to oncological diseases, is covered by this National Oncology Strategy - PAD continued.

"Spending on oncology will increase, so this is a demagogic argument. The opposition indeed came out with it, but they should also beat their chests and remember how they themselves cared for oncology. Today, the situation is completely different, and even such serious doctors as former health ministers in the Civic Platform governments admit that in this area of healthcare, and especially oncology, what the Polish authorities are doing today is being done well. Of course, not everything can be done at once, because repairing Polish healthcare is a gigantic task that no one has managed to accomplish so far. Most were even afraid to undertake this task. I believe that we must undertake this task and we must repair healthcare in its subsequent segments. We need to have more doctors, above all, so we need to train them. I am glad that we have significantly increased the number of places for students in medical studies. In a few years, we will have more doctors. Unfortunately, there are still shortages in many specialties today. There are simply unpopular specialties. We need to do something to increase their popularity, so that we have more doctors, nurses. This is also a matter of remuneration. Or perhaps primarily a matter of remuneration. We have significantly increased the remuneration for nurses. The remuneration for doctors is already high. Of course, all of this costs money, but we are aware that increasing healthcare expenditures will be necessary, and we are prepared to realize these increasing expenditures. But we also want the system to work well, hospitals to be managed optimally, so that money is not wasted, so that there is no waste. These are also very important elements, simply to ensure honesty in managing these funds and resources allocated to healthcare. Therefore, we are taking care of this, and this argument about oncology is absolutely untrue, demagogic, and I would even say dishonest in this entire discussion."

- Regarding the issue of the subscription fee, I will say this: The President has 21 days to sign a bill or make another decision regarding the bill. He can refer it to the Constitutional Tribunal, to the Sejm for reconsideration, or, as they popularly say, veto it. I still have time to make this decision, and I will make it within the constitutional deadline – said President Andrzej Duda on TV Trwam and Radio Maryja.
