- Donald Tusk's entire political path so far indicates that this is very, very probable, or almost certain, because it is the only thing he can do effectively: to break the political customs that have been shaped since the first decade of the 21st century. They were at a low level, it must be admitted, but shaped nonetheless. He destroyed them very effectively. He has brought about the destruction of any principles, any decency in Polish public life – said Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Polish Radio Channel One.

- Presidential elections are very important, super important, but they are not parliamentary elections. We rule until 2023 and we will rule until 2023. The president cannot change laws on his own, and of course, 500+ will remain. We are the guarantors of this – said Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Jedynka radio.

I can say this: everyone is allowed to dream. We cannot forbid that. However, there is no need for it, neither in a constitutional nor practical sense. After all, there have been cohabitation governments more than once in Poland's history, not to mention the history of other countries, even when the president's role is constitutionally much stronger than in Poland. I am talking about France. This is a situation that can theoretically arise, but there will indeed be some difficulty in the form of a person who will make things difficult, who will spoil them. There will be such a spoiler president – said Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on the radio Jedynka's "Sygnały dnia".

- People are tired of these constant quarrels, but they are not, by any stretch of the imagination, our fault. - I see that it's typical for ex-prime ministers and people who have lost something to constantly live in the reality that preceded them, because he truly brilliantly described the state of affairs during his own government in Poland. - I am not a specialist in dream theory, but I suspect our political opponents have some impression that they are in Catalonia or France, when in fact they are in Poland, where no citizen's rights are being questioned. I will repeat, during these eight years of our government, and also previously during the rule of post-communists – the overt post-communists, because in terms of quality there isn't a big difference – there were at least incidents that infringed upon civil rights. During our time, nothing like that has happened. Elections are held, the media have full freedom, citizens have complete freedom regarding various types of public, and also private, economic activities, and freedom of movement. Poles are massively [doing this], which today, incidentally, has various aspects – I'll remind you of northern Italy, there are currently several hundred thousand Poles there – Jarosław Kaczyński said in a conversation with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Jedynka radio.

- In short, there is nothing that would justify what was said before. Meanwhile, in France, as everyone sees on television what is happening or going on there, because that word is justified. The situation in Catalonia is complicated, and I am not referring to the merits, but if we were to sentence someone to over a dozen years in prison for wanting something that the government doesn't like, strongly dislikes, even if it concerned some violation of Poland's territorial integrity – I emphasize, Spain has the right to defend it – but if someone like that were put in prison for over a dozen years, there would be no doubt that all of Europe would be shouting that this is an absolute and complete trampling of civil rights. This is one of the matters we must fight for. That is to say, we are for the EU, but we very decidedly demand that there be one EU, not multiple unions, and that there be one category of states, not two or three categories. We don't want to fight to belong to the first category; we simply don't want categories to exist at all, and we want European law and European treaties to be simply respected, and secondary law to be consistent with the treaties. This is very varied – the PiS leader continued.

- Therefore, it's better for there to be only one round, but if there's a second, we'll have to deal with that situation... Yes [I believe a first-round resolution is still possible], but of course, I'm not sure, but I think it's possible and even likely. However, it will be a difficult situation. But please remember that if it were about cohesive political parties, whose representatives or even all members in attendance were to decide, then the situation would probably already be decided against Andrzej Duda. But this is about electorates. And there are many sensible people who are not our supporters, but they wouldn't wish for the government of Mrs. Kidawa-Błońska, because she would likely be the opponent, to be in power. Perhaps I misspoke, not so much the government, but her presence in the Presidential Palace, they wouldn't wish for, for various reasons. I've omitted those concerning Mrs. Kidawa-Błońska herself, but it's about the dispute I mentioned earlier, because they reasonably believe that this dispute would be extremely destructive for Poland - Jarosław Kaczyński said in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Radio Jedynka.

- There is something to talk about, to discuss, but there's no point in discussing Polish democracy or Polish freedom, because nothing truly threatens them here. Unless, of course, someone defines democracy in such a way that democracy exists when a coalition or Platforma rules, and if they don't rule, then there's no democracy. - This is symbolic. That's where PiS's march to victory began. – I am conducting my campaign in even the smallest villages and in large cities. Of course, its impact on my image will become visible after some time. But recently, Wrocław, Opole. A very good meeting with the Youth City Council in Opole. Sensational. Young people, intelligent discussion, interesting questions. Such a question was posed to me by a reporter in Poznań, asking how the Polish economy would suffer. First and foremost, what we are paying attention to is that coronavirus is a tragedy for the victims and their families, and above all, it is a huge challenge for public administration, for the government, for sanitary and epidemiological services, and here we are trying to do everything to prevent and be well-prepared, because as Minister Szumowski says, it's difficult to imagine that with such a pandemic this virus will not reach Poland - stated Jadwiga Emilewicz in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden" program. - The question concerned the consequences for the Polish economy, and we are also reflecting on them. We are meeting with individual sectors to understand the impact, given that certain value chains are being disrupted. This also has an impact on Poland's security level - she continued.

- If anyone felt offended by my statement, I would, of course, like to apologize here. But of course, as I said, the most important thing is the health and safety of Poles, but we are not neglecting to observe what is happening in international markets, what impact it will have on the Polish economy, because entrepreneurs also expect this from me, and we are also analyzing these elements here - stated Jadwiga Emilewicz in a conversation with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "One on One".

- It is up to the president to decide whether he will sign this act or not, and that is his presidential competence. Let's wait for his decision. I am not advising the president on this matter. It is the president's exclusive competence. - About 100,000 Poles returned a week ago and more than a week ago from their holidays. Many of them were skiing in Italy, and it is precisely Italy today in Europe that is the hotbed of the coronavirus, which has also mutated there. If more than a week has passed in some cases since these individuals returned, and the whole world is practically talking about nothing else but the coronavirus, then we have two possibilities. Either the Polish government has not taken the necessary measures to diagnose returning Poles and doesn't know itself whether we have coronavirus cases or not, or it knows we do and isn't telling anyone. There is no other possibility - stated Izabela Leszczyna in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- He [Schetyna] is participating in the campaign. He was in Wrocław, he was in Dzierżoniów, in Lubin. He is taking part in press conferences. He has been appointed deputy head of the Lower Silesian region - said Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Interview".

I absolutely do not retract from the fact that I am indeed responsible for programmatic issues in this campaign team. But let's be clear what a program means in a presidential campaign or for a president. First, it's a vision for the presidency, and second, priorities that are goals for the presidential candidate for this first 5-year term. Marshal [Kidawa-Błońska] will present such a vision and such priorities tomorrow. Of course, I can tell you today what will be the foundation of this presidency, because we have this program ready, if you can call it a program. The foundation is what the Constitution guarantees us, because the Marshal will certainly be a guardian of the civic rights enshrined in the Constitution. Thus, the foundation is security, but security understood in several dimensions. Health security, guaranteed by Article 67 of the Constitution, and here, a matter of extreme importance to the Marshal, and she will talk about it – equal access to healthcare, which is enshrined in the Constitution. Today, it's such that if you live in a big city, it's easier for you; if you live in the countryside, it's harder. If you are wealthy during the PiS era, you'll manage; if you are poor and fall ill, it will plunge you into even greater poverty. The Marshal will speak about the specifics tomorrow. Of course, not directly about operational matters, but about certain milestones that must occur during her presidency so that people, Polish citizens, have a sense of health security. We will also talk about economic security, i.e., prosperity, and here the state's task is definitively to support, first and foremost, working people – stated Izabela Leszczyna in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

The government stated that only clean hands can protect us from coronavirus. PiS might not survive this. This is their response to a new, serious threat. It's a response that shows how deeply they are detached from reality. The coronavirus is a threat that requires much more than just hygiene recommendations.

The government's approach to the coronavirus pandemic has been characterized by a lack of seriousness and a disregard for expert advice. Instead of implementing robust preventive measures, such as widespread testing, contact tracing, and isolation protocols, they have relied on simplistic and ineffective solutions. This approach has not only failed to curb the spread of the virus but has also led to unnecessary deaths and suffering.

The ruling party, Law and Justice (PiS), has a history of prioritizing political expediency over public health. Their response to the pandemic has been no different. They have been more concerned with managing public perception and maintaining their grip on power than with protecting the health and well-being of the citizens. This has resulted in a chaotic and uncoordinated response, with conflicting messages and a lack of clear leadership.

The coronavirus pandemic has exposed the deep flaws in the Polish healthcare system, which has been underfunded and mismanaged for years. The government's failure to address these systemic issues has made the country more vulnerable to the crisis. As a result, hospitals are overwhelmed, healthcare workers are exhausted, and patients are not receiving the care they need.

The current government's response to the coronavirus pandemic is a clear indication that they are not fit to govern. Their incompetence, disregard for expert advice, and prioritization of political interests over public health have had devastating consequences. It is time for a change. The Polish people deserve a government that is capable of protecting them from serious threats and that is committed to their well-being.

- Madam Marshal [Kidawa-Błońska], as president, will certainly want to submit such a legislative initiative, which can be summarized as 500+600. That is, the "higher wages, lower taxes" program. The very one you've spoken little about, and its essence is that if someone earns the minimum wage and is sitting at home thinking: damn, why should I go to work for these 2600 PLN, which is significantly less net, a little less than 2 thousand, maybe I'll go for social assistance, I have two children so I'll get 1000 PLN, a housing allowance, and even for heating. Basically, it's not worth it for a person to work. It's demoralizing. That's why we say: every such person will receive an activity bonus, meaning these 600 PLN would imply they effectively pay neither contributions nor taxes. Work must start paying off. Pregnant women will have to travel dozens of kilometers to the nearest hospital to give birth. Every one of us who has given birth, who has been pregnant, knows how important the feeling of security is. When labor begins, we want to be at the hospital within minutes. These women are deprived of this; they will have to go to the nearest hospital, which is in Lesko, and it will also have to serve residents from three other districts, and the staff of that hospital say it's practically impossible. The state, which talks so much about family, women, children, and helping the weakest, has simply failed. The ruling party prefers to allocate 2 billion zł to public television, for watching Champions League matches, not for oncology. That's why we need a real president who will restore our sense of security and hope," said Aleksandra Gajewska.

- Tomorrow at 12:00 PM, Marshal Kidawa-Błońska's convention has been announced. First and foremost, it will be a vision for Poland, and the pillars of her presidency will be outlined. It will be a convention rich in content. And I think this will be the first convention in this election campaign to actually have substance, not just form - Adam Szłapka said at a press conference.

- The Prime Minister has today unlocked PLN 100 million, which hospitals can apply for via voivodes through a fast-track procedure for any necessary supplements during preparations to receive patients who may fall ill with coronavirus. Secondly, while the government is currently addressing and fulfilling all needs for testing potentially ill individuals infected with coronavirus, it is also preparing future supplies of these tests. Today, a government plane departed, and within the next several dozen hours, we will have an additional 30,000 tests for examining potentially coronavirus-infected individuals - stated Michał Dworczyk at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

- Various fake news and unconfirmed reports are appearing in the media. As you yourselves have seen, a post by Marshal Kidawa-Błońska recently appeared. In connection with this, I called the Marshal just a moment ago. I explained to the Marshal how the situation looks, what information and data we have. I am a doctor, and patient health truly has no party colours. I am open to phone calls; my number is available. Editors know this perfectly well, as we are in constant, practically permanent contact. And as I said, as soon as there is a signal that there is a first case of coronavirus in Poland, the Prime Minister and, of course, all Poles via the media will be promptly informed. As of today, there isn't [in Poland]. All samples, 39 samples from yesterday, are negative. Certainly, one will be positive soon, in two days, in one day, in five days. For sure. Today, at a meeting with the Prime Minister, the Prime Minister, in accordance with the law, ordered the voivodes to implement increased hospital readiness across the country. This means that now, through an administrative decision which is subject to immediate enforceability, the voivode can order actions in hospitals to maintain this increased readiness. For example, increasing the base of infectious beds, transforming a ward into an infectious ward, increasing staff levels, or dividing the admission room and the Emergency Department into sections for individuals suspected of coronavirus or groups, and for others who do not have infectious symptoms, stated Łukasz Szumowski at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

- Minister Łukasz Szumowski will be the first to organize a meeting with health ministers from European Union countries. Coronavirus is not a problem for Poland, but for the whole of Europe. - The Chief of the General Staff and the Armed Forces Command presented me with the state of preparedness for conducting the largest military exercise in 25 years, Defender Europe. The exercise, which is just beginning, because US Army units are arriving in Poland at this very moment. It will be a very long exercise, lasting several months in our country - said President Andrzej Duda after a briefing at the National Security Bureau (BBN) regarding the Defender Europe 2020 drills.

- The US Army will be practicing troop deployment from the USA to Europe, directly to Poland and via Germany to Poland, so it will be a potent military undertaking. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has asked the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenković, who holds the EU presidency, to convene a meeting of the Ministers for Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs (EPSCO) instead of the planned teleconference of ministers, 300POLITYKA has learned.

The Prime Minister spoke by phone with both politicians earlier today. According to our sources, Morawiecki's initiative is intended to elevate the governments' response to the coronavirus epidemic to an EU-wide level, which, among other things, may facilitate the release of additional funds for countries most affected and exposed to the spread of the epidemic.

Such suggestions are simply irresponsible, because very serious politicians from the largest opposition party are speaking out, suggesting that the government is hiding facts, lying, and everyone knows what interest, but also concern, the coronavirus is arousing among Poles today, and these two examples [posts by PO politicians] that you are talking about must be shown as proof of such cynical exploitation of the situation related to the epidemic threat - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Tak jest" program.

We are implementing a plan to modernize the Polish army. And I'm saying this upfront, ladies and gentlemen. We will be buying very expensive equipment. I would like as much of this equipment as possible to be produced in Poland. But we will be buying the best equipment in the world, even if it is very expensive, because the Polish soldier must be the best equipped in the world – said President Andrzej Duda in Kozienice.
