This is the President's independent decision. Naturally, thanks to the fact that our camp is very broad, this choice is also possible within a wider range. - There is a certain polarizing model, especially in the second round. However, it must also be pointed out that this is the head of state, who pursues goals beyond the policies of PiS, because they are the head of state. Therefore, he did not always agree with our political camp. Our bills have been vetoed. It's good that the president corrected our camp's policy, and I hope he will be able to continue his policy in such a sensible way in the next term - said Piotr Müller in an interview with Piotr Goćek on "Sygnały dnia" on Polish Radio One.

- We are talking about recouping costs that will not enter the television budget due to a law adopted by Civic Platform in 2008. This law caused public media to be chronically underfunded. Therefore, we are dealing with compensation that will be allocated to fulfilling the mission of public media - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

- I repeat once again and urge the editor to be precise. Firstly, public media, and secondly, this is compensation for the funds that will not flow to public media after Civic Platform and Donald Tusk introduced regulations in 2008 exempting a number of groups from paying the license fee - continued the Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

- If we are talking about MP Lichocka, then the MP apologized for the situation that took place in the Sejm. Such situations should absolutely not happen. "We can send a clear signal in May by choosing the opposition, by not choosing Andrzej Duda for the Presidential Palace, but those who guarantee a change in our position within the EU. I am a guarantor that this position will be better, that Poland will be at the main table of decision-making, and not a lackey who today waits in the antechamber and is on the fringes of the EU" - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, leader of the Polish People's Party (PSL) and presidential candidate, in an interview with Maciej Zakrocki on Radio TOK FM's Poranek.

"I intend to visit every district in Poland. Similarly, as head of the campaign, I led The Left to victory in the last elections. I worked hard, but I also intend to stick to my views and talk about the program. "After observing the start of the campaign by Madam Marshal [Kidawa-Błońska], it's evident that it will be possible and there will be places to gather votes. This campaign is currently somewhat lackluster. I don't want to judge too much" – said Deputy Marshal Piotr Zgorzelski from PSL-Koalicja Polska in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

„If today Kosiniak-Kamysz has over 10% and Kidawa-Błońska has over 20%, we are only at the beginning of the campaign. This is the start. We are prepared for the fight; the candidate will be fighting hard and working diligently. With our opening convention on February 29th in Rzeszów, we are demonstrating that we are present even in difficult terrain and showing that we have a candidate who is prepared to be president” - said Deputy Marshal Piotr Zgorzelski from PSL-Koalicja Polska in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

„Since the beginning of February, we have been calling for an amendment to redirect the funds not to state television, not to propaganda, not to slander, lies, and calumnies, but to the treatment of cancer patients. The entire healthcare system requires radical reform. This is the most important topic for me in the presidential campaign. To help President Duda not only make a decision, because all opposition parties are already appealing for a veto. And that's very good. The opposition is in agreement here, it is united in action to transfer these funds to cancer patients” - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, leader of the PSL and presidential candidate, at a press conference in the Sejm.

„The majority of decent Poles counted on the President without hesitation, immediately signing this veto, because if we compare the needs of people suffering from cancer with the funds that were intended for a breeding ground for hate, a sewer of malice, then for everyone, there is no doubt that this veto should have been signed long ago” - added Deputy Marshal Piotr Zgorzelski.

“PiS is lying. Patients are not waiting in shorter queues. We have broken a record – 4 months. Instead of 2 months, it’s 4 months. It turns out that queues have doubled. PiS shows on one hand that they are spending 1/3 more on healthcare compared to 2015, but we ask where this money is going, since patients are not interested in tables and indicators, they simply want to be seen by doctors faster. They are not” – said Dariusz Joński from Civic Coalition at a press conference in the Sejm.

“If things are as great as PiS politicians say, then why is it so bad? Why is the waiting time for a specialist doctor getting longer? Why does each subsequent year of PiS rule extend this time? For several days now, since the fateful vote where 2 billion for cancer patients was not allocated, PiS politicians have been deluding themselves and claiming how great Polish healthcare is. Meanwhile, the data is devastating. The situation in this regard continues to worsen” – added PO Secretary General Marcin Kierwiński.

President Duda talks a lot about the security of Poles, about funds being allocated for cancer treatment. PiS says they will allocate 5 billion over 10 years. However, we want the 2 billion that goes to public television to be immediately transferred to patients for treatment, for modern medicines. The President spoke extensively about how Polish matters are most important to him, that he will address the issues of people with disabilities, the sick, the 'frankowicze' [those with Swiss franc mortgages], the everyday problems of Poles, and free legal aid. None of this has happened in the last 5 years, and now assurances that there will be money for something that has been lacking in recent years cannot be taken seriously. People are waiting for this money here and now. Parents of sick children are appealing for this money, and the President must listen to their voices. Moreover, our health is damaged not only by cancer but also by smog, which is present in Polish cities. 50,000 people die annually from this cause, and Poland, simply because it does not want to adopt the climate neutrality goals by 2050, is losing money from the Just Transition Fund. One billion euros – this is money that could save not only our air but also the lives of many people. Let's think about Poles, about what is most important and necessary for them. The President must listen to the voice of Poles. I no longer believe that the President will veto this bill [on compensation for public media], but he should know that every Pole will remember him allocating these funds to propaganda instead of people's healthcare – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska in Włocławek.

On behalf of Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska's Electoral Committee, I would like to inform you that we have filed a complaint with the Chairman of the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) regarding the activities of TVP. As a public broadcaster, it is violating Article 21 of the act, meaning the obligation to present events and phenomena in Poland and abroad truthfully, as well as the obligation for public media to maintain pluralism, impartiality, and balance. For a very long time, we have seen that TVP is unequivocally biased. In essence, it engages solely in propaganda, and the proportions in showcasing individual candidates are skewed. This time, we do not want to remain idle. We want to file a complaint on this matter, using a concrete example. In the 'Wiadomości' broadcast on February 15th at 7:30 PM, the segment concerning presidential candidate Andrzej Duda lasted for 10 minutes. In the same broadcast, 1.5 minutes were dedicated to all other candidates, including Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, whose coverage lasted a mere 20 seconds. This means that in just one broadcast of 'Wiadomości', Andrzej Duda was featured 20 times longer than Kidawa-Błońska” – stated Adam Szłapka, chairman of Nowoczesna and spokesperson for Kidawa-Błońska's campaign, during a press conference in the Sejm.

“Several EC data points concerning economic growth for the fourth quarter have been released, along with growth forecasts for this and next year. These are very good forecasts. We can look forward to the future with confidence. The EC rigorously weighs and measures all indicators, and the final result it presents is highly probable. It showed that Poland will grow at a rate of 3.3% this year and 3.3% next year. Amidst the global economic slowdown, this is very strong growth” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Gliwice.

- As far as I know, in every country… It has been shown how compensation is provided to public television. Poland is no different. One could even say that in terms of the amount of these compensations, it is one of the lowest in Europe. So there are no reasons why public television should not receive this compensation at this moment. It is the president's decision what he will do with it [the law], but if you ask me, compensations function in all democratic countries, in the sense that the institution of compensations is known and applied - stated Andrzej Dera in a conversation with journalists.

- I'll remind the PiS politicians who say these kinds of things that we already spoke about the necessity of allocating more money to oncology during the European campaign, we spoke about the need for an oncology program. We spoke about the need to access European funds. - I would wish for the President to tell patients that he has no money for their treatment, but that Mr. President does have a strategy. - I understand that the narrative from PiS is: public television needs to be subsidized. But I wonder, if the manager of public television, Mr. Jacek Kurski, is so great, if he is so appreciated by the government, perhaps he could finally earn from the projects he organizes. - There probably isn't a political option that hasn't something on its conscience when it comes to public television. There's always that temptation to say perhaps one sentence more.
