- We, the Senators of the Republic elected by the people, express solidarity and full support for the Marshal of the Senate, Prof. Tomasz Grodzki, and condemn the lying smear campaign conducted against him since the day of his election. We condemn the slander, provocations, and even attempts at bribery, unsupported by any credible facts, aimed at obtaining testimonies that would tarnish Marshal Grodzki - wrote a group of senators in a statement concerning "TVP's Lying Smear Campaign Against Senate Marshal Tomasz Grodzki".

- The organized and massive attack on the Marshal, conducted by state television funded by taxpayers' money and one of the special services, resembles the worst practices from before 1989. Despite Tomasz Grodzki's many years in public life, the attack on him began on the day the Marshal was elected. Therefore, it must be treated as an attack on the entire Senate of the Republic and on the political efforts to change the election results, conducted through state structures. Marshal Tomasz Grodzki has our unwavering trust, and his loved ones have our support - it was stated in the declaration.
