Müller:

As Far As I Know, Commissioner Jourová Herself Declared She Wanted to Meet. I See No Obstacles to Such a Meeting

- We are primarily waiting for the content of this motion [regarding the Disciplinary Chamber of the Supreme Court], because I don't know to what extent the European Commission would like to secure it. The government feels like a party to the dispute concerning the judicial laws. The government and the parliamentary majority. The subject of the security is the Disciplinary Chamber. It would already be the DC [Disciplinary Chamber] that would decide, or the Supreme Court, on the scope of application. It's not a question of washing one's hands, but rather one should see what the final decision of the CJEU will look like. Security is only a measure that is intended to be a transitional period until the final resolution - stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego". - Then [if such a decision on security is made], the Disciplinary Chamber will familiarize itself with the content of this security measure and decide to what extent to apply it - the government spokesperson continued. - I think that talks are always a good element of any dialogue, any dispute that arises at the EU level. As far as I know, Commissioner [Vera Jourová] herself declared that she wanted to meet. I see no obstacles to such a meeting taking place - he emphasized.
