- We would like the Senate to finally address this law [disciplining judges] substantively, for the Senate to be the Senate. We know that the 'Constitutional Tribunal bis', appointed by Marshal Grodzki, convened today. We consider it a kind of theater, a political game, and another aspect of Marshal of the Senate pursuing an alternative domestic and foreign policy. I think stirring tea doesn't make it sweeter. Regardless of how many guests the Marshal invites to the Senate, or how many hours they criticize this law, the outcome will be that the political decision has long been made. The Senate majority has decided to reject this law, they will not amend it, whereas we, as the 48-member PiS parliamentary club in the Senate, will do everything to demonstrate that this is a good, necessary, and needed law that the Polish justice system and Polish society are waiting for. If there is a need, we will submit a minority motion and defend it at the plenary session - stated Marek Pęk at a briefing in the Senate.
