The Left accelerates presidential candidate selection. The leadership of the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) has been convened in the Sejm for Tuesday noon to discuss the presidential candidacy – 300POLITYKA has learned from two independent sources within the Left. A convention is scheduled for January 19th, which will formally approve the choice.
The SLD's decisions are to be synchronized with those of RAZEM and Spring, which is becoming part of the SLD. - No one wants to jump the gun; all leaders of the Left are in constant contact – we hear.

Kidawa Proposes Resolution on Russian Propaganda; Terlecki Notes Ongoing Committee Work
"The fight against lies about Poland and its history must be consistent and strong to be effective. At the next Sejm session, I will present a draft resolution regarding Russian propaganda that slanders Poland. We must develop a unified stance in defense of our country's good name!" – wrote Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, the Civic Platform's presidential candidate, on Twitter.
"I invite both the authorities and the entire opposition to consult on the content of this resolution. I would gladly present the draft to the President. Let us all sign it. Together, let's show that we do not agree to the rewriting of history." – Kidawa added.
"Deputy Marshal Kidawa-Błońska announces that she will present a draft resolution in the Sejm regarding Russian historical lies. The Deputy Marshal should be aware that work on the resolution is ongoing in the Committee on Foreign Affairs, with a finalization planned for Wednesday. Every MP can participate," – replied Deputy Marshal Ryszard Terlecki to Kidawa.
