Sasin:

Energy Prices Are Objectively Rising Due to Factors Including EU Climate Policy

- Of course, it is a fact that energy prices are objectively rising. We have certain conditions, such as the European Union's climate policy, which means that the purchase price of energy itself, and I am not talking here about the service provided by companies: transmission, all the technical aspects of delivering energy to homes. We have managed to achieve a situation between the energy companies, one of them already, and the others are in the process, where this increase in energy prices is relatively small. On average, it is around 12.5%, which translates to less than 9 PLN more on an average bill, a result worthy of recognition considering how energy prices are rising in our neighboring countries, such as Germany or other European countries, where the increases were dramatic - said Jacek Sasin in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Polskie Radio Program I.

Sasin on Accusations Against Grodzki: 'I am not satisfied with his explanations. I would expect state services to thoroughly investigate this matter.'
- In no way am I satisfied with his explanations. Quite the contrary. I must say that Marshal Grodzki's performance on this matter is very unconvincing. I don't know what I would expect. I would primarily expect state services to thoroughly investigate this matter. If we were dealing with an isolated case, we could believe such a narrative that it is an attempt at revenge or an action for other motives. However, if there are more such signals, I think it is a very serious problem, and let's remember that the matter concerns one of the most important people in the state - said Jacek Sasin in a conversation with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on Polish Radio One.

Bartoszewski:

I Am Not a Follower of Environmentalism or Any 'Ism.' Environmental Matters Are Very Important, Affecting All People Globally

I am not a follower of environmentalism or any 'ism.' Environmental matters are very important, affecting all people in the world, and it is very good that young people like Ms. Thunberg are concerned about them and are trying to change the world for the better. One can believe in God, not in Ms. Thunberg. I think she started as an authentic person, concerned about this, but necessarily, as always happens, when someone like that appears, someone tries to exploit it for their own purposes” – said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski of PSL-Koalicja Polska in a conversation with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

Bartoszewski:

The PSL will vote to maintain fur farms. I would abstain

The PSL will vote to maintain fur farms. I would abstain [from voting]. I am not in favor of animal mistreatment. I have nothing against animals being raised for meat, for fur, or for anything else, but the conditions in which they are kept are not always proper” - said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski of the PSL-Koalicja Polska in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

Bartoszewski:

In My Opinion, Schetyna Will Become Civic Platform Leader After the Elections

"In my opinion, Chairman Schetyna will become the leader of the Civic Platform after the elections. In my opinion, definitely so, he will defeat them [opponents]. I believe that Mr. Tusk will not completely detach himself from Polish politics and will maintain contact," said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski of PSL-Polish Coalition in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

Fogiel on PAD's Campaign: "We've been in working contact with the Presidential Chancellery for several weeks. These aren't technical details yet, but we are already designing the campaign in some way."

- It is, however, very important that the election staff in the future campaign, the president's associates, do not rest on their laurels, and I say this from my own experience, having been through several campaigns, and I also don't think that anything like that would threaten the Presidential Palace - stated Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

When asked when the campaign team would be revealed, he replied: - I think it will be right after the Marshal of the Sejm announces the date of the presidential elections. We will then enter the campaign period and the election staff will be appointed. Of course, it's not just PiS, the entire United Right environment supports Andrzej Duda's candidacy in the upcoming elections. There is contact, of course, also a natural one, because we have known each other for many years, in many cases we are friends, and these contacts are ongoing.

- We have been in such working contact for several weeks now as a party, a parliamentary club with the Presidential Chancellery. We are discussing certain things. These are not yet technical details, but we are already designing the campaign in some way - added the deputy spokesperson for PiS.

PAD Appoints Cezary Kochalski to the Monetary Policy Council:

The Best Person I Could Have Chosen.

- I heartily congratulate you and I am very pleased that I was able to entrust you, Professor, with this exceptionally important task. I am pleased because, in my opinion, the best person I could have chosen will now sit as the President's representative on the Monetary Policy Council, a body that holds, one could say, fundamental significance for the functioning of the state, for the state's economy, and most importantly, for the state's financial system. I am pleased for this reason because I had the opportunity to collaborate with you, Professor, for three years as my advisor, and also as a member of the Financial Supervision Authority appointed by me. And of one thing I am convinced: that you, Professor, are a very calm and balanced analyst, meticulously examining the financial market and the country's economic situation, and not making any hasty decisions. This is hugely important, especially when it comes to the financial system and monetary policy, and it is precisely monetary policy that the Monetary Policy Council deals with. Of course, it is also an exceptionally important task, de facto, to oversee the activities of the National Bank of Poland. Because if the Council examines reports on the NBP's activities, and the Council analyzes them, it means its role over the NBP is almost a supervisory one. It is certainly an exceptionally important role, both in shaping monetary policy on the one hand, and on the other hand, also in taking responsibility for the entire financial system, and ultimately, one can safely say, for the state's economy. Because if we consider, for example, the issue of setting interest rates, what impact does it have on the economy, on the stock market, on the banking situation? Every economist knows perfectly well that this impact is enormous, and therefore the significance of the Monetary Policy Council for the state's economy is so immense. I am pleased that an experienced economist, a scientist with achievements, but also a practitioner observing the market, and at the same time dealing with issues of entrepreneurship development and business management, will now also be looking at the financial market from a practical perspective and will share responsibility for shaping the state's monetary policy – stated President Andrzej Duda during the ceremony for a change in the composition of the Monetary Policy Council.

- Professor, I congratulate you on this nomination with all my heart. It is an extremely responsible role, but I am convinced that you, Professor, will pass this next professional examination brilliantly – added PAD.

How is it possible that the Vice-President of Warsaw flew on a flight costing around PLN 20,000? Salaries in the city hall are not that high. A question about the source of funding for such a luxurious trip?

Putin's Hysterical Attack on Poland is a Sign of Helplessness Caused by Recent Successes in Polish Historical Policy, Including the European Parliament Resolution

- President Putin's hysterical attack on Poland is a sign of helplessness caused by recent successes in Polish historical policy, including the European Parliament resolution unequivocally pointing to German-Soviet aggression against our country as the cause of World War II – Jarosław Gowin wrote on social media.

I've Decided to Run for the Leadership of Civic Platform

- The strength of Civic Platform lies in the potential of thousands of people across Poland! Today, we must build a team of people with whom we will pursue electoral victories with full determination and power! A modern state of law and social sensitivity are our commitments! No more wasting time! I'm running! - Bartosz Arłukowicz announced on social media.

Wójcik on Archbishop Jędraszewski: A Philosopher Who Can Deconstruct Theories. He Inspired Us to Focus on Ecologism, an Ideology with Social and Political Context, Not Just Ecology

It is worth listening to Archbishop Jędraszewski. He is a very wise man, with immense knowledge and vast experience. A philosopher who can deconstruct various theories. He spoke about something very important. He encouraged us, inspired us to truly focus on the topic of ecologism, meaning an ideology with social and political context, rather than on the issue of ecology” – said Deputy Minister Michał Wójcik in an interview with Bartosz Kurek on Polsat News's “Gość Wydarzeń”.

19:48

Wójcik:

It Would Be Abnormal for Animals to Have Equal Rights to Humans. Eco-feminism, Neo-Luddism. These Concepts Are Emerging. Those Against Industrialization, and Even Population. And If They Are Against Population, Is It Not...

You know, I wrote about this during my studies, as it was the subject of my master's thesis, I dealt with ecological security. I know what the Kyoto Protocols are, and I know how much Poland has done since the 1950s. Not all countries are reducing pollution like Poland. Let's not go crazy. We were talking about the empowerment of animals. It would be an abnormal situation if an animal were equal to a human in its rights. Eco-feminism, neo-Luddism. These concepts are appearing. Those who are against industrialization, industry, and even population. And even if they are against the population, because they think there are too many people, then today I ask if it is not to, for example, legitimize the idea of euthanasia, to get rid of the elderly, infirm, or abortion, or many other phenomena that we do not accept” – said Deputy Minister Michał Wójcik in an interview with Bartosz Kurek in „Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

Cimoszewicz on Jędraszewski's statement about "ecologism": A sign of great ignorance
- This is a manifestation, on the one hand, of great ignorance, if the archbishop seriously meant it, because the scale of changes that humans have caused on Earth, in the natural environment, is gigantic - said Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz in an interview with Piotr Marciniak on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

Cimoszewicz on Climate Neutrality Summit Decisions: The Joy Expressed by the Prime Minister of a Country Where Over 40,000 People Die Prematurely Annually is Astonishing

- The joy expressed by the prime minister of a government of a country where over 40,000 people die prematurely each year due to illnesses caused by substances contained in coal exhaust fumes. You just had a report from Rabka, if for two hundred and fifty days a year people have to breathe air polluted eight times more than the norms allow, then this is an astonishing kind of joy. It's like being happy that a medium-sized city is dying due to one energy policy or another of its government – said Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz in a conversation with Piotr Marciniak on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach" (Facts after Facts).

Cimoszewicz:

Macron is Not Threatening Poland. He's Stating a Rather Obvious Fact. Why Should Someone Not Participating in a Program Receive Money?

- Macron is not threatening Poland. He's stating a rather obvious fact. In this program [concerning EU countries achieving climate neutrality], countries and states that wish to participate will do so, and they will receive this money. Why should someone who is not participating in the program receive this money? - stated Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz in a conversation with Piotr Marciniak on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach" (Facts After Facts).
