At 12:00 PM in the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda will present the act of appointment to the Monetary Policy Council. PAD's address is planned during the ceremony.

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will visit Kielce. At 16:45 PM, a press conference by the PSL leader will take place, followed by a Christmas and New Year's meeting at 17:00 PM.

- Of course, it is a fact that energy prices are objectively rising. We have certain conditions, such as the European Union's climate policy, which means that the purchase price of energy itself, and I am not talking here about the service provided by companies: transmission, all the technical aspects of delivering energy to homes. We have managed to achieve a situation between the energy companies, one of them already, and the others are in the process, where this increase in energy prices is relatively small. On average, it is around 12.5%, which translates to less than 9 PLN more on an average bill, a result worthy of recognition considering how energy prices are rising in our neighboring countries, such as Germany or other European countries, where the increases were dramatic - said Jacek Sasin in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Polskie Radio Program I.

„I am not a follower of environmentalism or any 'ism.' Environmental matters are very important, affecting all people in the world, and it is very good that young people like Ms. Thunberg are concerned about them and are trying to change the world for the better. One can believe in God, not in Ms. Thunberg. I think she started as an authentic person, concerned about this, but necessarily, as always happens, when someone like that appears, someone tries to exploit it for their own purposes” – said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski of PSL-Koalicja Polska in a conversation with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

„The PSL will vote to maintain fur farms. I would abstain [from voting]. I am not in favor of animal mistreatment. I have nothing against animals being raised for meat, for fur, or for anything else, but the conditions in which they are kept are not always proper” - said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski of the PSL-Koalicja Polska in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

"In my opinion, Chairman Schetyna will become the leader of the Civic Platform after the elections. In my opinion, definitely so, he will defeat them [opponents]. I believe that Mr. Tusk will not completely detach himself from Polish politics and will maintain contact," said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski of PSL-Polish Coalition in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

- It is, however, very important that the election staff in the future campaign, the president's associates, do not rest on their laurels, and I say this from my own experience, having been through several campaigns, and I also don't think that anything like that would threaten the Presidential Palace - stated Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

When asked when the campaign team would be revealed, he replied: - I think it will be right after the Marshal of the Sejm announces the date of the presidential elections. We will then enter the campaign period and the election staff will be appointed. Of course, it's not just PiS, the entire United Right environment supports Andrzej Duda's candidacy in the upcoming elections. There is contact, of course, also a natural one, because we have known each other for many years, in many cases we are friends, and these contacts are ongoing.

- We have been in such working contact for several weeks now as a party, a parliamentary club with the Presidential Chancellery. We are discussing certain things. These are not yet technical details, but we are already designing the campaign in some way - added the deputy spokesperson for PiS.

- I heartily congratulate you and I am very pleased that I was able to entrust you, Professor, with this exceptionally important task. I am pleased because, in my opinion, the best person I could have chosen will now sit as the President's representative on the Monetary Policy Council, a body that holds, one could say, fundamental significance for the functioning of the state, for the state's economy, and most importantly, for the state's financial system. I am pleased for this reason because I had the opportunity to collaborate with you, Professor, for three years as my advisor, and also as a member of the Financial Supervision Authority appointed by me. And of one thing I am convinced: that you, Professor, are a very calm and balanced analyst, meticulously examining the financial market and the country's economic situation, and not making any hasty decisions. This is hugely important, especially when it comes to the financial system and monetary policy, and it is precisely monetary policy that the Monetary Policy Council deals with. Of course, it is also an exceptionally important task, de facto, to oversee the activities of the National Bank of Poland. Because if the Council examines reports on the NBP's activities, and the Council analyzes them, it means its role over the NBP is almost a supervisory one. It is certainly an exceptionally important role, both in shaping monetary policy on the one hand, and on the other hand, also in taking responsibility for the entire financial system, and ultimately, one can safely say, for the state's economy. Because if we consider, for example, the issue of setting interest rates, what impact does it have on the economy, on the stock market, on the banking situation? Every economist knows perfectly well that this impact is enormous, and therefore the significance of the Monetary Policy Council for the state's economy is so immense. I am pleased that an experienced economist, a scientist with achievements, but also a practitioner observing the market, and at the same time dealing with issues of entrepreneurship development and business management, will now also be looking at the financial market from a practical perspective and will share responsibility for shaping the state's monetary policy – stated President Andrzej Duda during the ceremony for a change in the composition of the Monetary Policy Council.
