“In recent weeks, we have seen frantic government actions to finance pre-election promises, despite a very poor budget situation. To achieve this goal, the Law and Justice (PiS) government is resorting to methods that are inconsistent with the letter and spirit of the Public Finance Act. The latest example of this was the draft amendment to the act on the solidarity fund for disabled people” – said Dariusz Rosati from Civic Coalition at a press conference – “The Civic Coalition proposes amending the Public Finance Act in such a way that such practices will not be possible in the future. We want to protect public finances”.

“What PiS is doing with public finances, how they are circumventing the stabilizing expenditure rule, is recidivism. It’s not just about the solidarity fund. PiS does more things like this, which is why we are beginning work to strengthen the expenditure rule” – added Izabela Leszczyna from Civic Coalition.
