Tokarczuk Receives the 2018 Nobel Prize in Literature
Olga Tokarczuk received the 2018 Nobel Prize in Literature in Stockholm. The author is the eighth Polish representative to receive a Nobel Prize and the third Polish woman in history. The last such distinction was awarded to Wisława Szymborska in 1996. The award for Tokarczuk is the fifth Nobel Committee recognition for Polish literature.
