I don't know Marian Banaś personally, so it was difficult for me to predict exactly how he would behave in this situation. However, I counted on him realizing over the weekend, with time to breathe and reflect, that staying in this position is impossible. That didn't happen. I understand that Banaś feels innocent. He has the right to do so. Perhaps even wronged. He understands that it's about media attacks. He has the right to do so. In the eyes of the law, he is innocent until finally convicted by a court. Ordinary citizen Marian Banaś, who has every right to prove his innocence, is one thing, and Marian Banaś, who currently holds the position of President of the Supreme Audit Office, is another - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- The moderate centre – I actually like that term, because we use it, and it describes the Polish Coalition. A moderate centre already exists in Poland and needs to be supported. - Today we heard that the ABW [Internal Security Agency] has revoked Mr. President's [Marian Banaś] access to classified information, meaning he can only administer the chamber. Simultaneously, he is under immense political pressure, media pressure. He is grilled by the media daily, and this will not end. Also by PiS politicians, but primarily I'm talking about the grilling in the media. If Banaś thinks this will end in 2-3 days, it won't. If he had been elected by a majority of PO and PSL, like Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, the media would likely have found another topic after a few days, but since he was a member of our political camp, he will be grilled for as long as he doesn't leave this position - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- Everything that is happening at the moment does not erase his [Marian Banaś]'s merits for the Polish state through the establishment of a strong state administration that effectively combatted various VAT mafias, thereby securing billions, tens of billions in additional revenue for all of us, but even if someone is mentally strong, I cannot imagine them enduring this kind of pressure, which we observe in the media, for more than a dozen days - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- I disagree that this is not the best time. There are problems, but it's impossible to govern Poland and avoid this kind of trouble or slip-ups. Parties are made up of people, and people are not infallible. We are also fallible, we make mistakes, and personal errors happen to us - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- Presidential elections are a great challenge because the threshold required for victory is significantly higher. This is due to higher turnout, firstly, and secondly, one needs to secure 50% plus one vote in either the first or second round. So, calculating this in absolute numbers, President Duda needs approximately a million more votes than we gathered in the recent elections for the Sejm and Senate. This, of course, depends on the turnout. However, at the same time, in these elections, we have the best possible candidate. A politician who enjoys the greatest trust of Poles, a politician who leads in all polls. I am not saying these elections are decided; we absolutely cannot make the mistake of Bronisław Komorowski, who thought he had no one to lose to and is now a retired politician. But I have the impression from conversations with those around him and from observing President Duda that he is perfectly aware of the challenges that will arise in this campaign - he added.

- I am very pleased, and I say this primarily to the Prime Minister, that we can conclude this period of government formation after the recent parliamentary elections today. I am happy that all this is happening in such a stable manner, and above all, I congratulate the Prime Minister and am very pleased that for this important position of Minister of Sport in the Polish government, he has chosen and indicated a person so perfectly suited to fulfill this important role. Minister Danuta Dmowska-Andrzejuk is, first and foremost, an excellent, wonderful Polish athlete. That is probably the most important thing. She is indeed the most decorated Polish fencer, a winner of the individual world championship title, twice a silver medalist at the team world championships, a winner of the team European championships, and also a European vice-champion. Therefore, she has a great many sporting successes on the international stage, at the highest world level, and one can confidently say, a great sporting career, and consequently, a profound understanding of world and Polish sport, but above all, professional sport, truly from the ground up; one can confidently use such a description. Especially since this understanding of sport comes not only from the perspective of an athlete, but also, considering the life path of the minister, it encompasses an understanding of Polish and world sport from an organizational and coaching perspective as well - stated President Andrzej Duda during the ceremony appointing the new Minister of Sport.

- Therefore, I have no doubt that regarding the subject matter the minister is to deal with, and the good management of Polish sports affairs, we have found a person here, no longer a candidate, but a Minister of Sport, who will undoubtedly perfectly meet the expectations placed upon her. And what makes me immensely happy about this is that the minister is a young person, full of drive, full of energy, incredibly kind, sympathetic, one might say, a charming person. So I am certain that also in personal interactions, both with athletes and with everyone she will meet while fulfilling the duties of Minister of Sport, she will have excellent relationships and will create a truly excellent team that will perform its tasks brilliantly. But above all, this will also be a period of success for Polish sport, and also for the Republic of Poland. This, of course, includes not only care for athletes in the strict sense, but also care for amateur sport, care for broadly understood physical culture, as well as attention to Polish sports facilities and the investments needed in this area. But I am precisely convinced that the minister's youthful perspective, this bold vision of the modern development that sport needs in every its field and every its aspect, will certainly be perfectly realized here - continued PAD.

- If [Marian Banaś is] drawn into a political game, it is only from the opposition's side. After all, Law and Justice is not playing this politically in any way. One would have to ask the Supreme Audit Office, or the spokesperson... I don't understand how one can blame Law and Justice here for political fighting, for political maneuvering. There is a problem, a report from the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau has appeared, an investigation has been initiated by the prosecutor's office. There is no talk of politics here. - We want [to dismiss Marian Banaś]. Constitutional changes are a game by PiS. The solution is simple. - I think Lewica is the most consistent party here, because it shows both the path to dismissing President Banaś and clearly states that a potential criminal should not continue to hold an office tasked with overseeing other offices in Poland. NIK should be the pride of all institutions in Poland, and PiS is destroying this independence day after day, and most importantly, the good name of NIK - the head of the Lewica parliamentary club continued.

- Minister Banaś is currently the President of NIK. His place is more unfortunately in prison than as President of NIK, and Lewica will speak loudly about this - he emphasized.

- We demand from the head of the CBA, Ernest Bejda, that he reveal to the Polish people what Marian Banaś is accused of, because today the situation is quite bizarre. It turns out that Banaś might face charges, as the prosecutor's office has initiated proceedings, and the CBA is submitting requests for charges, but in reality, no one knows what Marian Banaś is accused of, except for Mr. Kaczyński, Kamiński, and Bejda. Even if we wanted to file a motion for a State Tribunal for Banaś, we don't know what to write because we don't have the documents. Therefore, we demand that the head of the CBA provide MPs with full information regarding the charges against Marian Banaś. If these documents are classified, they should be transferred to the Chancellery of the Sejm. We have access to classified information, so we can review it, and that the content of the charges themselves, without the justification, be made public at least - stated Robert Kropiwnicki at a briefing in front of the CBA.

The Law and Justice (PiS) parliamentary club intends to nominate Professor Rafał Wojciechowski, the Vice-Rector of the University of Wrocław, as the new judge of the Constitutional Tribunal, 300POLITYKA has learned from sources close to the ruling party's club.

Our interlocutors indicate that this nomination was put forward by Jarosław Gowin's Agreement (Porozumienie) party, citing a statement by Marcin Ociepa. In an interview with Interia, Ociepa announced that the coalition partner within the United Right (Zjednoczona Prawica) would indeed propose the new Constitutional Tribunal judge.

According to the preliminary parliamentary schedule, the election will take place during the upcoming Sejm session, on the last day of deliberations, the morning of December 20th. The new judge will succeed Małgorzata Pyziak-Szafnicka, whose term concludes on January 5th. The Sejm's regulations stipulate that relevant motions must be submitted within 30 days prior to the expiry of a term.

The Labour Chamber of the Supreme Court, in the justification of its judgment following the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union (ECJ), stated that the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) does not provide sufficient guarantees of independence from the legislative and executive authorities. This finding is a crucial starting point for assessing whether the Disciplinary Chamber of the Supreme Court is impartial.

This, in turn, directly impacts the legitimacy and impartiality of other judicial bodies, including the Disciplinary Chamber.

It was a very efficient, long-term preparatory operation that effectively prevented this, one could say, exceptional smuggling operation on a European scale, an exceptional attempt at smuggling."

Banaś was previously head of the tax administration, then minister of finance, and now head of NIK. Who wants to remove him? Those who brought him in, meaning President Kaczyński with Prime Minister Morawiecki and the Minister of Interior? If they brought him in, we want to know: why, when they brought him in, did they not have the knowledge they have today, and what knowledge is it? They must tell us about this, and if they don't, we will demand it in the Sejm. Prime Minister Morawiecki must realize that the consequence of such actions will be a motion to dismiss the Minister of Interior and Coordinator of Special Services.
