Wednesday's Political Agenda: Parliamentary Committee on NIK Vice-President Candidates, Radziwiłł's Inauguration as Voivode, PAD in Podlasie

At 10:00 AM, the session of the Joint Government and Local Government Committee will commence.

At noon, the inaugural session of the Senate Committee on Local Government and State Administration will take place. Senators are also expected to discuss the situation at the Supreme Audit Office (NIK). “As the Senate, due to our electoral role in appointing the head of NIK, we simply want to ask him a few questions,” Marshal Tomasz Grodzki declared yesterday.

At noon, Konstanty Radziwiłł will begin his tenure as the Mazovian Voivode. He will also meet with journalists at that time to present his plans in his new role.

At 2:00 PM, the session of the Sejm Committee on State Control will begin, where the Supreme Audit Office President's applications for the appointment of Tadeusz Dziuba and Marek Opioła as Vice-Presidents will be reviewed.

At 7:00 PM, President Andrzej Duda will meet with the residents of Kulesze Kościelne.

Dworczyk:

Chairperson Biejat should remember that nothing is given forever. No position is permanent.

Madam Chairperson [Magdalena Biejat] should remember that nothing is given forever. No position is permanent. It will be the parliamentarians themselves, in consultation with the leadership of PiS, who will decide who will chair this [family] committee. It is normal for such political decisions to be made in this way,” said the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Minister Michał Dworczyk, on Radio Jedynka.

07:51

Dworczyk:

Today the Council of Ministers will adopt a regulation establishing a government plenipotentiary for demographic policy

Today the Council of Ministers will adopt a regulation that will establish a government plenipotentiary for demographic policy. To my knowledge, as this will already be the competence of Minister Maląg, such a plenipotentiary, or rather a female plenipotentiary, will be appointed in the coming days. Regarding the plenipotentiary’s tasks, we can read that their duties include preparing a demographic strategy aimed at increasing fertility and promoting the traditional family,” said the Head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, Minister Michał Dworczyk, on Radio Jedynka.

Müller on CBA Report Regarding Banasiś: PM Has Not Yet Reviewed the Report. I Think This Will Happen Soon
No, the Prime Minister has not spoken [with Marian Banasiś]. The Prime Minister has not yet familiarized himself with this report [from the Central Anticorruption Bureau]. I think this will happen in the near future, and whether the Prime Minister will call the President of the Supreme Audit Office is a matter that will likely be addressed after reading this report and drawing conclusions, because let's remember that on one hand, it's a CBA report, and on the other hand, it's the President of the Supreme Audit Office's response – stated Piotr Müller in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego." The government spokesperson added that it might happen this week.

07:56

Dworczyk:

A Little More Patience and the Coalition Agreement Will Be Polished and Signed

This is a natural negotiation process. The fundamental issues have already been discussed and agreed upon. Yesterday, Prime Minister Gowin said that their group is ready to sign this [coalition] agreement even this week, so I think that with a little more patience, this agreement will be polished and signed” - said the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Minister Michał Dworczyk, on Radio Jedynka.

08:04

Müller:

Ziobro is Exercising Competencies Belonging to the Minister of Justice, as They Did to Previous Ministers

- The Prime Minister trusted both Zbigniew Ziobro and other ministers currently in the government. He trusted them in the sense that he appointed them. This was a few days ago. And he still trusts them. Minister Ziobro is exercising competencies that belong to the Minister of Justice and also belonged to previous Ministers of Justice. I think he has done so in a manner consistent with the law. Therefore, he has the right to do so, and similarly, previous Ministers of Justice also carried out such revocations of delegations or delegations – stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

08:14

Nowacka:

They could search people at 6 AM for dressing monuments in 'Constitution' t-shirts. Yet, gallows with portraits are absolutely fine.

The prosecution found no indication of a threat, no elements of hate speech. When there was the incident with the rainbow-colored Mother of God, the intervention was immediate, at 6 AM, to apprehend the person making photocopies of the picture. At 6 AM, they could also break into homes and search people who dressed monuments in t-shirts with the inscription 'Constitution'. However, gallows with portraits are absolutely fine. Something is evidently going very wrong in the Polish state” – said Barbara Nowacka of Civic Coalition in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

08:17

Müller:

All Cabinet Members Deeply Believe Justice System Needs Further Reforms
All members of the Council of Ministers have a deep conviction that the justice system requires further reforms - stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation". - The Minister of Justice must also ensure that the legal system is coherent. And there cannot be a situation where one judge says that another judge is not a judge - he continued.

08:17

Nowacka:

Kidawa-Błońska is an independent candidate
"If we look at who has a real chance to win against Andrzej Duda, then someone who is his antithesis in terms of independence, responsibility, and the rule of law has a chance to win, and secondly, someone who does not seek conflict, knows how to unite, and tries to be a president for everyone. [Kidawa-Błońska] is an independent candidate, absolutely. If that were not the case, Kidawa-Błońska would be more heavily controlled, and she has quite difficult primary elections ahead of her, because she is competing with Jacek Jaśkowiak, who is a very full-blooded contender in these elections" - said Barbara Nowacka of Civic Coalition in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

Bortniczuk on the Selection of the Next Constitutional Tribunal Judge: Porozumienie Will Indeed Nominate Its Candidate

- The matter of nominating candidates for Constitutional Tribunal judges is covered by the coalition agreement, which is being negotiated, and this point has already been negotiated and is not subject to any reservations. Indeed, I can confirm that in this round, PiS nominated its candidates for Constitutional Tribunal judges, and therefore takes responsibility for these nominations. As a coalition partner, we support them within the framework of the coalition agreement. However, for the next term, which falls, I believe, in January, for the election of the next Constitutional Tribunal judge, Porozumienie Jarosława Gowina will indeed nominate its candidate - stated Kamil Bortniczuk in an interview with Jacek Gądek during the Morning Interview on Gazeta.pl.

10:01

Bortniczuk on the Banaś Case: I've Been Saying for a Long Time That for Image Reasons, It Would Be Better to Cut This Series Short

- I have been saying for a long time that for image reasons, it would probably be better to cut this series short. As for the facts, whether he has actually committed any offenses that should lead to him losing this position, we need to wait until the relevant services complete their work, reach concrete conclusions, and the appropriate state officials examine them and make the necessary decisions. I haven't heard anyone from the United Right environment claiming that Marian Banaś should be protected at all costs simply because he is from our circle - stated Kamil Bortniczuk in an interview with Jacek Gądek in the Gazeta.pl Morning Conversation.

10:10

Rabiej:

This is a frivolous proposal. The Warsaw City Council decided to commemorate the Battle of Warsaw with a monument in the city center at Plac na Rozdrożu.

- This is a frivolous proposal [by Prime Minister Morawiecki regarding the construction of a triumphal arch in honor of the Battle of Warsaw]. Warsaw and the Warsaw City Council have decided to commemorate the Battle of Warsaw with a monument in the city center at Plac na Rozdrożu. This monument is being built. This was an initiative of the Warsaw City Council. If the Prime Minister suddenly comes up with such an idea, in my opinion, it shows a lack of seriousness on the part of the Prime Minister and a lack of seriousness on the part of this government. I would advise the Prime Minister that instead of provoking Warsaw on this matter, he should focus on problems that are currently very important in Poland, such as healthcare – stated Paweł Rabiej in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- This is an important battle, so the Warsaw conservation officer is currently working on the concept. It will certainly be a monument that commemorates it worthily, in an important location – continued the Deputy Mayor of Warsaw.

10:20

Rabiej:

Civil Partnerships – Absolutely Yes, Marriage Equality – Absolutely Yes, and I Think Most People in Nowoczesna Have No Objections to Foster Care for Such Families
Let's first, as I always say, deal with the most important matters. Civil partnerships in Poland are unregulated. It is a disgrace that Poland is one of the few countries in Europe where people of the same sex cannot visit each other in hospital, even though they formally form... live together, and are unable to care for someone they have lived with for many, many years sometimes. We need to start with these kinds of things, and also, looking at the polls, they indicate support for such solutions. Civil partnerships – absolutely yes, marriage equality – absolutely yes, and I think most people in Nowoczesna have no objections to foster care for such families either, especially since we have over 50,000 rainbow families in Poland - stated Paweł Rabiej in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

Warsaw Officials Submit Letter to the Prime Minister's Office Regarding Paluch Animal Shelter Land. Glusman: We Appeal to the Prime Minister to Ensure PPL Agrees to a Thorough Modernization of the Shelter

We want to ensure the best possible living conditions for the animals we care for, as well as working conditions for over 300 volunteers who help us care for the animals every day. The modernization of the shelter is necessary to provide such conditions” - said Justyna Glusman, coordinator for sustainable development and green spaces of the capital city of Warsaw, at a press conference in front of the Prime Minister's Chancellery.

We appeal to the Prime Minister to ensure that PPL [State Enterprise „Polish Airports”] issues a statement consenting to our carrying out a thorough modernization of the shelter, and that it enters into a long-term agreement with us so that we can carry out the necessary renovations. We are submitting a letter on this matter to the Prime Minister, and I hope that, in line with the Prime Minister's declarations, a meeting will take place where we can discuss the details and find a legal solution to this situation and the development of our shelter” - she added.

11:19

Dworczyk Responds to Rabiej: Regarding Marriage - I Urge You to Familiarize Yourself with Article 18 of the Polish Constitution. P.S. Wouldn't it be good for the Vice-Mayor of Warsaw to primarily focus on the city's affairs?

Siemoniak:

Today I Support Schetyna

- I support Grzegorz Schetyna, I believe he is a very good leader, and I have no idea if he will run in these elections, he hasn't said so. Some deadlines will be set by the Platform's authorities by when one needs to declare themselves. However, while I greatly value Borys Budka, I supported him in the elections for the club leader, we work closely together, I believe that at this moment, if Grzegorz Schetyna runs, I don't see a better candidate - stated Tomasz Siemoniak on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

- As I say, if Grzegorz Schetyna, for some reason, were not to run, then I could consider this new situation. Today, I support Grzegorz Schetyna - added the PO politician.

Senate Committee Invites Supreme Audit Office President for December 10th Hearing

- Today I will send an invitation to President Marian Banaś to attend a meeting of the Committee on Local Government and State Administration on December 10th at 12:00 PM. The purpose of this invitation is to provide the President with an opportunity to offer explanations in connection with matters that are quite widely known and raise strong doubts as to whether he is the right person for such a prominent position as President of the Supreme Audit Office (NIK). We will want to hear these explanations, and the Senate is the place where such explanations can be given, as the Senate participated by expressing consent in the appointment of the President to his current position - stated Zygmunt Frankiewicz at a briefing in the Senate.

- I think this falls more within the realm of good practice than a legal obligation. Moreover, sending a deputy does not resolve the matter, because the doubts concerning Mr. Marian Banaś's actions are not related to the activities of the NIK, but to his personal affairs, his business activities, and his activities as a state official elsewhere. Therefore, I don't think this will solve the problem. President Banaś must be present. If he does not accept the invitation, we will deeply regret it and consider the opportunity to clarify an extremely important matter for the entire country to have been missed - he added.

Banaś in the Sejm: Parliamentary Committee Reviews Nominations for NIK Deputy Presidents

The parliamentary committee for state control, at the request of the President of the Supreme Audit Office (NIK), is issuing an opinion to the Marshal of the Sejm regarding the nominations of Tadeusz Dziuba and Marek Opioła for the positions of NIK deputy presidents. Marian Banaś appeared at the committee meeting, and upon entering the parliament building, he declined to speak with journalists. At the beginning of the session, the opposition called for an adjournment until the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA) report is presented.

14:40

Kierwiński Questions Banaś: Who Did You Consult on These Candidacies? Did You Discuss Them with Chairman Kaczyński?

"To Chairman Banaś – regarding the submitted candidacies. Who did you consult these candidacies with? Did you speak with the candidates beforehand, or perhaps with someone from PiS leadership? Did you discuss the candidacies with Chairman Kaczyński? Have you spoken with Prime Minister Morawiecki in recent days?" said Marcin Kierwiński of Civic Coalition during a session of the Sejm's Committee on State Control.

14:54

Banaś on Candidates for NIK Vice-Presidents: It's My Initiative. I Know Dziuba and Opioła Very Well

This is the president's prerogative and it's my initiative. I know both Mr. Dziuba and Opioła very well. One gentleman from working at NIK, with whom I had the honor to cooperate and later also as the chairman of a commission where he sat, and Mr. Opioła also for 4 years when I held the position of Head of KAS and Minister of Finance. He worked in a commission, I cooperated with him. I consider this cooperation very fruitful, and he is one of the best candidates. Both of them, whom I presented personally here. I am not consulting this with anyone – stated Marian Banaś during the session of the Sejm Committee on State Control.

15:16

Nitras to Banaś: Is There a Deal Between You, the Parliamentary Majority, PJK, and PMM?

- These are my questions, which I am posing publicly. To President Banaś. Is there a deal between you and the parliamentary majority, President Kaczyński, and Prime Minister Morawiecki? And this is a question I am also posing here, at the Committee on State Control, to Prime Minister Morawiecki. Is there a deal under which you will cover up the truth about President Banaś? - stated Sławomir Nitras during the session of the Sejm Committee on State Control.

15:30

Zawistowski:

Following the CJEU Ruling of November 19, Chambers Including Those Affected by the Ruling Will Not Be Appointed in the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court
  • The content of the judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union of November 19, 2019, in joined cases C-585/18, C-624/18, and C-625/18 indicates, among other things, the probability that the National Council of the Judiciary is not currently an independent body, and therefore cannot fulfill its constitutional duty of safeguarding the independence of courts and the impartiality of judges. Its actions may thus cause serious negative consequences concerning the adjudicatory rights of individuals appointed to judicial positions, undermining the authority and stability of judgments issued with their participation. This constitutes a serious threat to the legal order, and above all, to the protection of the rights of participants in court proceedings and the dignity of the judiciary - wrote Supreme Court Justice Dariusz Zawistowski.
  • In view of this, I have decided that until the Supreme Court issues rulings in cases where preliminary questions have been referred to the Court of Justice of the European Union, chambers of judges including individuals affected by the Court's ruling of November 19, 2019, will not be appointed in the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court. This ruling is addressed to all courts in Poland, and therefore to all individuals appointed to judicial positions with the participation of the current National Council of the Judiciary. For this reason, I appeal to these individuals, appointed to the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court in 2018, to undertake actions in their assigned cases in a fully responsible manner, with particular attention to the interests of the parties and the threat of deepening legal chaos - the judge wrote in a statement.

Parliamentary Committee Approves Nominations of Dziuba and Opioła as NIK Vice-Presidents

The Sejm's Committee on State Control has issued a positive opinion to the Marshal of the Sejm regarding the President of the Supreme Audit Office's (NIK) nominations of Tadeusz Dziuba and Marek Opioła for the positions of NIK Vice-Presidents.

Banaś:

A Smear Campaign is Underway Against Me; Lies Are Being Spread About My Alleged Ties to Criminals and Tax Evasion
For two months now, a smear campaign has been conducted against me. Lies are being spread about me, claiming I am linked to criminals and that I evaded taxes. It is being suggested that I acquired property under dubious circumstances and misused my public office for private gain. None of this is true. Every one of these accusations is a lie, a lie, and yet another lie. I have taken and will continue to take legal action against the authors of these slanders. In the meantime, I calmly await the conclusion of the procedures initiated by state offices concerning my asset declarations - stated Marian Banaś during a session of the Sejm's State Control Committee. Regarding the tenement house at 24 Krasickiego Street in Krakow, which is generating the most emotions. In 2001, the tenement house at 24 Krasickiego Street and a plot of land with a residential building in the Brzesko municipality were transferred to me by their owner, Henryk Stachowski, in exchange for lifelong care. We had known each other for over 20 years. Stachowski was a soldier of the Home Army (AK) and the post-war independence underground. He paid for this with his health in the UB interrogation rooms and prisons. In the 1980s, he made a significant contribution to 'Solidarity'. He was a childless widower and until his death in 2007, he became a de facto member of my family, participating in its life. In recent weeks, Stachowski's memory has been defiled in the public domain, calling him a supposed AK soldier and suggesting he was a common criminal. This is disgraceful. All the more so because the deceased Henryk Stachowski cannot defend himself. However, historical documents defend him. By 2004, the tenement house was renovated and designated as a dormitory, managed by my son Jakub, and subsequently for hotel and tourism activities. Due to my son's change in professional plans, I found a new tenant through an advertisement. He raised no concerns. He was an unconvicted individual interested in buying the tenement house from me, which was also of particular importance to me. On March 19, 2014, I signed two agreements. The first was a 10-year lease of the tenement house, with rent set at PLN 4,000. However, all costs related to the property's maintenance were borne by the tenant. The second agreement was a promise to sell the tenement house. On the day of signing the agreement, I held no government positions. On December 19, 2015, 30 days after taking office as Deputy Minister of Finance, I entered into a notarial preliminary sale agreement for the tenement house in favor of the aforementioned tenant. By the terms of this agreement, the tenant committed to paying me a down payment and advance payments towards the purchase of the tenement house. In the event he withdrew from the purchase, the down payment was non-refundable but its amount compensated for the rent collected to date. Suggesting that I attempted tax optimization in this manner is an unfounded and slanderous lie. In March 2018, the tenant of the tenement house informed me that he would have to withdraw from the purchase as he was unable to secure a loan. In December 2018, in the presence of a notary, we jointly declared the closure of mutual settlements due to the impossibility of purchasing the property. On August 17, 2019, after a year and a half of searching for a buyer, I sold the tenement house to a specialized company dealing with the revitalization of such properties. The company has no ties to the previous tenant. On September 2, 2019, in my former tenement house - the President of NIK continued to speak.

17:00

Banaś:

I had no influence over who the building's tenant shared my phone number with. When I realized I was speaking to someone other than the tenant, I immediately ended the call.

- On September 2, 2019, Bertold Kittel from TVN appeared at my former tenement house and recorded with a hidden camera my phone conversation with the stepfather of the former tenant. I had no influence over who the building's tenant shared my phone number with. When I realized I was speaking to someone other than the tenant, I immediately ended the call - stated Marian Banaś during a session of the parliamentary committee for state control.

17:03

Banaś:

In Krakow, there are many hotels where you can rent a room by the hour. For example, to rest during or before a trip, or to prepare for a planned meeting.

- On September 21, 2019, TVN aired a program suggesting that a business other than hotel operations was conducted in my former tenement house. In Krakow, there are many hotels where you can rent a room by the hour. For example, to rest during or before a trip, or to prepare for a planned meeting. This can be easily verified online. I also want to clearly emphasize that throughout the entire lease period, I received no signals of any irregularities in the tenement house, neither from neighbors, nor from the police, nor from the municipal guard - stated Marian Banaś during a session of the Sejm's Committee on Public Control.

17:07

Banaś:

On October 1, 2019, I sued TVN for defamation
- On October 1, 2019, I sued TVN for defamation. I demand an apology, correction of falsehoods, and compensation to be paid to a social cause indicated in the lawsuit. I calmly await the judicial conclusion of this matter - stated Marian Banaś during a session of the Sejm committee for state control.

17:28

Banaś:

Linking me to the activities of individuals suspected of fiscal crimes, formerly employed by the Ministry of Finance, is manipulation and abuse

- Regarding the connections with dishonest officials of the Ministry of Finance, as you also asked about that. In recent weeks, a series of insinuations have also been published, suggesting that I was a patron to former Ministry of Finance officials who organized and participated in the criminal procedure of VAT fraud. I would like to emphasize that linking me to the activities of individuals suspected of fiscal crimes, formerly employed by the Ministry of Finance, is manipulation and abuse. The moment I, as the head of KAS (National Revenue Administration), received information about potential irregularities concerning individuals working in the Ministry of Finance, I immediately decided to dismiss them from their positions and terminate their employment contracts. This happened many months before their arrest. The above was also possible thanks to the establishment of the KAS internal inspection office by me in the spring of 2017 - stated Marian Banaś during a session of the parliamentary committee for state control.

17:30

Banaś:

I Have Never Betrayed My Duties Performed for the Public Good, Nor Have I Undertaken Any Illegal Actions

- In conclusion, I wish to emphasize that I have never betrayed my duties performed for the public good, nor have I undertaken any illegal actions. I consider any assertion to the contrary to be a violation of my legally protected personal rights. I will react decisively to such defamation of my good name – stated Marian Banaś during the session of the parliamentary committee for state control.

17:41

Nitras:

Today's events support the thesis of a deal between the ruling PiS party and Banaś
The behavior of PiS MPs indicates that there is a deal, as MP Nitras stated today in the committee, between PiS and Chairman Banaś, that in the opinion of PiS MPs, Mr. Banaś remains a crystal clear figure. We all see what this crystal looks like - said Marcin Kierwiński at a briefing in the Sejm. The image of the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) Chairman fleeing the Sejm with trembling hands is a symbol of the PiS state. The NIK Chairman, who should be a tough individual with impeccable character, strong enough to control all state institutions, is fleeing from MPs, afraid of questions about himself - Sławomir Nitras continued. What happened today supports the thesis that a deal has been struck between the ruling PiS party and Mr. Banaś. In exchange for appointing PiS deputy chairmen, the government will cover up Mr. Banaś's secrets. Mr. Banaś can feel impunity - Nitras added.

18:57

Fogiel:

United Right Coalition Agreement is Essentially Ready. Signing – Within Days

The agreement is essentially ready. Leaders of the United Right have met several times, finalizing details. We have established programmatic issues, parliamentary work plans, areas of competence, and technical matters. The support of the entire United Right for Andrzej Duda in the presidential elections is obvious. It has also been agreed how we will operate in the event of any elections that may arise along the way. In principle, there shouldn't be any, but sometimes there are, for example, supplementary elections. The signing of the agreement will take place within days; it's a matter of the calendars of the leaders of PiS, Porozumienie, and Solidarna Polska. PiS treats our partners from the United Right as equals and with respect. We take into account their expectations and any doubts they may have – said Radosław Fogiel, Deputy Spokesperson for PiS, in "Rozmowa Niezależna" with Lidia Lemaniak.

Duda:

I'm Not Someone Who Comes to Do Nothing. I Roll Up My Sleeves and Come to Work
Of course, not everything went according to plan over the last four and a half years, and perhaps not all decisions were accurate or fully accurate. But the point is that those who don't act and don't have good intentions do nothing, and I'm not someone who comes to do nothing. I roll up my sleeves and come to work. If something isn't working out, please point it out as feedback, and I will try to improve it - said President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with residents in Kulesze Kościelne.

20:02

Nowacka:

I listened with astonishment as Banaś becomes a victim of TVN. It resembles Piotrowicz's story, who claims he was a victim of the communist system.

- I listened with astonishment as Marian Banaś is currently being portrayed as a victim of TVN. It strongly resembles the story of Mr. Piotrowicz, who, having received [something] in 1984, later claims he was a victim of the communist system as a prosecutor. It's a similar tune somewhere - said Barbara Nowacka in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program “Wydarzenia i Opinie” (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

Banaś Appeared in Sejm During Discussion on His New Deputies; If PiS Had Doubts, They Wouldn't Let Him Choose Them

- Marian Banaś appeared in the Sejm during the discussion on who would be his new deputies. If PiS has doubts, then they certainly wouldn't allow Marian Banaś to choose his deputies – said Barbara Nowacka in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program „Wydarzenia i Opinie” Polsat News.

20:09

Nowacka:

The Prime Minister found time to address a proposal regarding a dog shelter, while the good name of the Supreme Audit Office should be a priority
The Prime Minister is, of course, very busy, but he found time to address some proposal he found in the Warsaw City Council documents, concerning a dog shelter. I understand that animals are very important to the Prime Minister, but it would seem that the good name of such an important institution as the Supreme Audit Office should be a priority – said Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program “Wydarzenia i Opinie” (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

Bortniczuk on Banaś: If it concerned a person whose position is not constitutionally protected, further steps would likely have been taken

- [Banaś's words] made such an impression on me that I actually ask myself three times, because I have always spoken quite harshly about the President of NIK. I considered it to be an image burden for us, after what has emerged, and I know that if it concerned a person whose position is not constitutionally protected, then likely, regardless of how it ended, in order to protect the good name of the United Right, further steps would have been taken, as we have many examples - said Kamil Bortniczuk in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Events and Opinions" on Polsat News.

20:19

Bortniczuk Asked if Coalition Agreement Contains Clause on Banaś: I Saw and Read the Agreement, I Don't Recall

- To a large extent, yes [the coalition agreement is ready] - said Kamil Bortniczuk in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

- And will the matter of the NIK president be there? - the journalist pressed.

- I saw the agreement, I read it, and I don't recall - Bortniczuk replied.
