Patryk Jaki will comment on the planned reduction of funding for the Paluch animal shelter by the Mayor of Warsaw. He announced this on Facebook: "Trzaskowski, who posed with dogs during the campaign, is cutting 1.5 million PLN for an animal shelter! There was money for pallets, diversity trams, LGBT+, and now the already severely underfunded shelter 'na Paluchu' is facing closure. My strong statement on this matter to the City Council."

- The Armaments Agency will definitely be established; it's one of my goals for a second term as Minister of National Defence. We are still discussing its exact form. It is a matter of national importance, not a local, self-government matter. Warsaw authorities have neglected many things. „The resolutions adopted by individual appellate courts express concern for the well-being of citizens and the observance of the constitution in the Republic of Poland. Those judges who have the courage to say, 'we are halting proceedings,' have the courage to care for the well-being of citizens. They are going against the line of the ruling party, they are not afraid of Minister Ziobro, because they believe that the good of the Republic is more important than their personal interests” - added Robert Kropiwnicki from the Civic Coalition.

"In recent days, Zbigniew Ziobro revoked the delegation of a judge who demanded the disclosure of support lists for the National Council of the Judiciary. This is nothing but political revenge against an independent court for issuing a ruling that doesn't align with the ruling party's expectations. That's how I perceive Minister Ziobro's actions. This action also confirms the ECHR's concerns that judges in Poland might be subjected to political pressure under PiS laws," said Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz from Civic Coalition at a press conference in the Sejm.

„For 3 years we have been saying that the lowering of the retirement age by PiS, carried out irresponsibly and deceitfully, without informing Poles about the effects and consequences of these decisions, would result in starvation pensions for millions of retirees in the future. ZUS [Social Insurance Institution] has also been reporting this for several years, publishing relevant reports. According to these reports, pensions in the future will be at a dramatically low level. A woman who works for 35 years, retires at 60, and earns the median wage in Poland throughout her working life will receive a pension of around 1250 PLN, which is not much more than the minimum pension. The consequences of this situation, brought about by the PiS government, are as follows. We are creating colossal areas of poverty in the form of 3-4 million pensioners who will receive benefits at or below the minimum level. A huge deficit is emerging in the Pension Fund. ZUS estimates the financial shortfall for the next 4 years at 50 billion PLN. Alongside the Smoleńsk lie and the lie of Poland in ruins, the pension lie is the biggest lie that this government is perpetrating” – stated Dariusz Rosati from Civic Coalition at a press conference in the Sejm.

The "Na Paluchu" animal shelter is one of the largest shelters in Poland, caring for thousands of abandoned and homeless animals each year. The shelter relies heavily on donations and the work of volunteers to provide care and find new homes for the animals.

Let us recall that a few months ago, the facility itself sounded the alarm about the catastrophic situation regarding the overcrowding of the kitten hospital: 'The kitten hospital is bursting at the seams with sick kittens. These animals, with pus-filled eyes, seeking warmth from plush toys. This year is tragic. How many of these kittens will survive? Will there be enough homes willing to adopt them? In shelter conditions, they have slim chances.' Furthermore, the facility requires additional funding for the general and infectious disease hospital, which, according to experts, should be located in a completely different area due to the risk of spreading infectious diseases. Financial resources are also needed for the renovation of kennels, which were modernized over 15 years ago. Therefore, reducing the shelter's budget by PLN 1.5 million (and I will remind you that animals from several suburban municipalities also end up at the facility) will cause a tragedy. In light of the above, I appeal to you, council members, for an urgent amendment to the budget and Mayor Trzaskowski's decision, and to save the animals. The [prosecutor's] decision is outrageous in many aspects. First and foremost – the length of the proceedings. The prosecution has been under the complete supervision of a politician from the United Right camp – Zbigniew Ziobro – for nearly 4 years. He bears political responsibility for such outrageous decisions by the prosecution. There is no consent for violence or aggression in public space, also expressed by word, gesture, or deed.
