- There were about 3 million people in the PZPR at the end of the Gierek era. Together with their families, that's many, many millions of people. Therefore, we do not alienate people who want to reform Poland, who love Poland. We do not deny anyone this right. As for Stanisław Piotrowicz, I can say this: I have familiarized myself with his activities then, in those first years of martial law. He was indeed a prosecutor, but in the cases that passed through his hands, he behaved decently. Because I have checked all of this very thoroughly, I am not writing the man off - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News.
