President Andrzej Duda will be visiting the Świętokrzyskie and Małopolska voivodeships. At 4:30 PM, he will meet with residents of Kazimierza Wielka, and at 6:30 PM, with residents of Proszowice.

As we reported on 300POLITYKA, the designation of Mateusz Morawiecki as the new Prime Minister is expected to take place today around 11:00 AM, followed by the swearing-in of the new United Right government tomorrow. Sasin on the 30-fold ZUS Cap: We're Not Talking About a Blow, Just Eliminating a Strange Construction

- We have no intention of striking anyone. I understand you are talking about the abolition of the 30-fold cap. We are not talking about any blow, only about the elimination of a certain strange construction, in which those who earn better pay de facto lower taxes or burdens to the state than those earning less. The regulations that are in force today de facto mean this - stated Jacek Sasin in a conversation with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

07:56

Sasin on Abolishing the ZUS 30x Limit: "We Want to Pass This Law Together with Our United Right Coalition Partners. We Will Convince Them to Support This Solution."

- We want to pass this MP's bill, because it needs to be clearly emphasized, this is not a government project, but an PiS MP's bill. We want to pass it together with our United Right coalition partners and we will discuss it, also convincing our Porozumienie coalition partners, Deputy Prime Minister Gowin, that it is worth supporting this solution, because in the end it will be a good solution - stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

08:02

Sasin on Abolishing the ZUS 30x Limit: "We Will Convince the Entire Chamber to Support This Solution. Not Only Our Coalition Partners, But Also the Opposition."

This is a parliamentary bill. It will be presented at the Sejm session. It will come to a vote. We will see which MPs support it. We will convince the entire chamber to support this solution. Not only our coalition partners, but also the opposition. I will remind you that in the previous term of the Sejm, many projects, including government ones, were supported by opposition clubs. There were really very few projects where there was some sharp opposition from a large group of MPs. I hope it will be the same this time – stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

08:11

Sasin on Tuesday's Exposition: "As far as I know, these are the plans, but it's hard for me to say 100% at the moment"
The Prime Minister has not yet presented the entire government. He will present it at the moment he is designated as Prime Minister. There was a press conference with the Prime Minister at the end of last week, but many things remained unsaid because many issues were discussed, such as the name of the ministry I am to head. The Prime Minister said that the name will be adjusted, but also the scope of activities will still be discussed, and these discussions are ongoing. Today, most likely, as we know, the Prime Minister will receive the mission from the President to form a new government, and I think that at a quick pace, as these talks have been going on for a month, he will present the composition of the new government to the President for approval. I think it is very probable [that it will be tomorrow]. As far as I know, these are the plans [for the exposition to be on Tuesday], but – as I say – it's hard for me to say 100% at the moment – stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

Schetyna on the Return of the Idea to Abolish the 30-Fold Limit on ZUS Contributions: A Political Stunt Designed for Presidential Intervention

I think it's a political stunt. It's intended to serve as a pretext for President Duda to intervene later. There will be a debate, and it will end as it's meant to. This is part of – that's how I see it – the presidential election campaign, and on the other hand, it reflects the lack of integrity in PiS's parliamentary election campaign. The fact that they are changing their minds and starting to talk about a financial crisis, about a slowdown, shows how they conducted their campaign, by lying and misleading Poles” – said PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Joanna Komolka on Radio Zet.

08:13

Schetyna on Summoning Banas Before Senate Committee: It's the Senate's Decision. We Won't Make It in Party Headquarters

"It is a decision of the Senate, of a Senate committee. We will not make it [the decision to summon Marian Banas before a Senate committee] in party headquarters. This is how the Civic Coalition differs from PiS: Marshal Grodzki, the Senate Presidium, and committee chairs will decide on these matters. The Senate is a place of normal, parliamentary democracy" - said PO chairman Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Joanna Komolka on Radio Zet.

08:19

Sasin on Abolishing the ZUS 30x Limit: The Bill Sent to Parliament by PiS MPs is a Consequence of Previously Adopted Government Documents

- I deny that [the coalition partner] is unaware of the plan to abolish the 30x limit. This bill, which was sent to parliament by PiS MPs, is a consequence of documents previously adopted by the government, including by ministers and the Deputy Prime Minister from the Porozumienie party within this government. That is, first the Convergence Plan Update, which explicitly stipulated the abolition of the 30x limit, and then the budget bill, which accounted for the revenues. Previously, these documents raised no doubts. They were adopted by the government unanimously - stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

08:20

Schetyna on the Division of Parliamentary Committees: It Was Dictated by PiS. I Have No Illusions This is Retaliation, Revenge for the Senate. They Are So Hurt by Marshal Grodzki and the Senate Presidium
“Here, there was a dictation from PiS towards the opposition parties [regarding the division of parliamentary committees]. It’s always like this at the beginning of a term, that all parties talk, try to build parity. The largest [committees], the most prestigious ones, were immediately taken by PiS. This is – I have no illusions about it – retaliation, revenge for what happened in the Senate. They are so hurt by this Senate, and by Marshal Grodzki, and the Senate presidium, that they had to react. This is a shame for good, parliamentary work,” said Civic Platform (PO) leader Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Joanna Komolka on Radio Zet.

08:24

Schetyna:

Senate Agreement Strengthened Civic Platform, Civic Coalition. It Also Strengthened Me

[The Senate agreement] strengthened the Civic Platform, the Civic Coalition. It also strengthened me, because the idea and concept, which I've been talking about for 4 years, that a broader agreement beyond just party lines needs to be built, is yielding results, and we saw those results in the Senate the day before yesterday” - said PO (Civic Platform) leader Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Joanna Komolka on Radio Zet.

08:29

Grodzki Asked About the Timing of his Address: I'd Say the Message. Today. We're Scheduled for Recording
I'd say the message. Today [it will be]. I wrote it myself. Yes, we are scheduled for recording [with TVP]. The press services are arranging it [where it will be broadcast], probably on Jedynka. We have expressed a desire for it to be public television accessible here, in the country - stated Tomasz Grodzki in a conversation with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM, when asked about the timing of his address.

08:46

Grodzki Asked About Abortion Law: "As of Today, I Would Vote to Uphold the Current Compromise"

- My opinion, if you ask me as a doctor, not a diplomat, as you are calling me here, is that abortion is something we should not allow, because it is a tragedy for the mother, for the family, for the unborn child, and we should do everything, including genetic testing, sex education, many other issues, so that abortions, if this tragedy is to occur, happen as rarely as possible. But this issue cannot be simplified, because these are inherent relations between the unborn child, the woman, or the fetus - stated Tomasz Grodzki in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

- As of today, I would vote to uphold the current compromise - emphasized the Marshal of the Senate.

09:24

Sonik on the Senate Majority: "This will be one of the elements Schetyna will definitely use to present himself and his candidacy in the Platform leadership election."

- Of course, this will be one of the elements that Grzegorz Schetyna will definitely use to present himself and his candidacy in the elections for the leader of the Civic Platform. It's the first success in four years, apart from rebuilding the party and its presence on the political scene after the defeat in 2015. The Senate will certainly be presented as the kind of action that yields results - stated Bogusław Sonik in an interview with Michał Rachoń on TVP Info's program "Jedziemy", when asked if the majority in the Senate is a success for Grzegorz Schetyna.

09:30

Sonik:

The Senate Will Have Its Say and Present Its Perspective, and Compromises Will Be Necessary

- The Senate will have its say and present its perspective, and compromises will be necessary. Emotions were heated on both sides and found expression in often very aggressive language. On both sides. This first day of the session showed some tempering of those emotions. Perhaps this will translate into calmer legislative work in the Sejm, in committees - stated Bogusław Sonik in a conversation with Michał Rachoń on the TVP Info program "Jedziemy".

09:34

Sonik:

There are certain problems we view critically. The point is not to dramatize. The situation in Poland is not a collapse of democracy
“If senators express concerns about the fate of democracy, and Marshal Grodzki states in his first address that his victory is a celebration of democracy,” stated Bogusław Sonik in a conversation with Michał Rachoń on TVP Info’s program “Jedziemy”. “If he is going to the USA, it is certainly to say that the situation in Poland is not dramatic. We have our problems, which, as the Senate elections show, we can solve in a way that allows us to win elections to the Sejm as well,” said the PO politician. “Democracy exists. The opposition camp has a critical view of the functioning of democratic institutions, of the politicization of the judiciary, and its politization. There are certain problems we view critically. The point is not to dramatize. The situation in Poland is not a collapse of democracy,” he emphasized.

09:51

Winnicki on motion to Constitutional Tribunal regarding abortion law: We are trying to submit this motion as soon as possible

In the previous term, over 100 MPs signed [a motion to the Constitutional Tribunal to review abortion regulations]. We will also come forward with such an initiative in this term, within days. We are trying to submit this motion as soon as possible, but in such a way as to first push for swift proceedings of the motion concerning 'Stop Abortion' in the family committee, and only then will we submit the motion to the CT. There were over 300 MPs who concluded their oath with the words 'So help me God.' I believe that obligates one to something” – said Robert Winnicki from Confederation in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

Czarzasty on the merger of SLD and Wiosna: There is no compulsion. We decide together, we want it together

There is no compulsion. We are deciding together [on the consolidation of Wiosna and SLD], we want it together. If there will be a presidential candidate, of course, the situation will be such that all parties [will support him/her]” - said the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty from Lewica, in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Polish Radio Three.

President Duda Appoints Mateusz Morawiecki as Prime Minister, Entrusts Him with Forming a New Government

During a ceremony at the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda appointed Mateusz Morawiecki as Prime Minister and entrusted him with the mission of forming a new government. As we reported on 300POLITYKA, tomorrow, most likely at 2:30 PM, the new United Right government will be sworn in. The Prime Minister will then deliver an expose. Our sources emphasize that the date for the parliamentary address has already been set for Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

11:49

President Duda on New Government: "Practically a Guarantee of Efficient Operation"
We know that the parliamentary elections brought us clear outcomes. We know that appropriate decisions have been made in both chambers of parliament regarding the election of speakers. This is a natural stage in the functioning of every democratic state, namely the issue of appointing a new Council of Ministers. The election results, concerning the majority in the Sejm, are absolutely unambiguous. United Right, led by PiS, is once again gaining an independent majority, a camp which I call the conservative camp, a camp that has already had two prime ministers before, first Beata Szydło, and in the second part of the term, Mateusz Morawiecki. Today is the moment when the mission to form another government after the recent parliamentary elections is entrusted. It is natural that this mission is received by the current Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki. I am glad that I can entrust you with this portfolio today. Thank you very much for the consultations, especially yesterday's long but interesting ones, and I hope they were beneficial both for me from the perspective of our future activities, and most importantly for the Prime Minister, that we could talk about the shape of the future government - President Andrzej Duda stated at the ceremony of designating the new prime minister.  - Why do I say I am glad? Because I can clearly see that these 4 years of your experience in managing Poland's most important affairs, exercising most of the executive power, because that's how it should be said, first as Deputy Prime Minister, but most importantly as Minister of Finance, thus one of the absolutely most important ministers in the government, and then, for two years as Prime Minister, have provided immense experience that now allows for the elimination of shortcomings that have appeared and for the streamlining of various processes. Hence the planned structural changes in the Council of Ministers and the distribution of responsibilities in individual government administration departments, but also some personnel changes. I have an absolute conviction, after conversations with you, as well as knowing the, already preliminarily outlined, candidates for ministers, that this is practically a guarantee that this government will operate efficiently. I also have no doubt that it will be formed very quickly and that the Prime Minister will soon begin normal work, together with his entire cabinet - PAD continued. - I congratulate you most heartily and I hope for continued cooperation for the benefit of the Republic of Poland, and above all for our citizens. We have an absolutely common vision for Poland's development, we have a common vision for the priorities that should be implemented, a Polish policy focused on the citizen, on their affairs, on their life success, on improving the quality of life in Poland, as well as on strengthening Poland on the international stage, strengthening the Polish economy, building it as a modern economy, skillfully, while simultaneously developing the necessary infrastructure. In this regard, we have an absolutely common vision, which greatly pleases me, and I believe that we will continue to jointly implement these positive changes in the Republic of Poland, and in this regard, the Prime Minister can always count on my support - the President concluded, emphasizing that he hopes for a very quick meeting regarding the appointment of the new government.

12:05

Morawiecki:

I deeply hope the next four years will be a developmental leap showing Poles that the European standard of living they dream of is getting closer

- I very warmly thank you, Mr. President, for the trust shown, for the fact that we can continue the mission of improving the standard of living for Poles, because I want to strongly emphasize that these achievements, which Poles have rewarded with this unprecedented result, with the highest turnout, these over 8 million Polish votes which testify to their trust, these achievements would not have been possible without you, Mr. President, without constructive, close cooperation, without assessing many projects from a substantive perspective, without continuous expert collaboration. This is an extremely valuable and very important matter from the perspective of our ability to implement very important projects for citizens, for the entire society. Projects, on the one hand, that we call social, but on the other hand, developmental. The world, and Poland in particular, undoubtedly faces enormous challenges. There are many questions, but I have a deep hope that in cooperation with the President, we will be able to find appropriate answers to these challenges that lie before us, and that these first four years, one might say, will be a kind of run-up, and the next four years will be a developmental leap, which will show Poles that this European standard of living, dreamed of by Poles, is getting closer. Once again, thank you for the trust shown, and I am very much counting on such good, excellent cooperation as we have had so far - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the ceremony of designating the new Prime Minister.

Civic Coalition Demands Extraordinary Session of the Public Finance Committee on the 30-fold Cap. Hennig-Kloska: PiS Panickedly Seeks Funds, Introducing a Systemic Law Without Impact Assessment

Hold onto your pockets and wallets, because PiS is starting to fulfill its election promises. The first target is about 400,000 employees on employment contracts, well-educated, innovative people who have the chance to make the Polish economy truly competitive, innovative, and to reduce the gap between Poland and Western Europe. Almost 400,000 employees will earn less, because the first law is the law abolishing the 30-fold cap, even though we heard many times during the campaign that this law would not be introduced. Why is PiS doing this? There is only one reason. The budget must receive over PLN 5 billion more in contributions, because the budget has never been balanced” - said Izabela Leszczyna from the Civic Coalition at a press conference in the Sejm.

PiS is panickedly searching for money for next year's budget and is introducing, through a parliamentary bill, a systemic law for the social insurance system. We cannot allow such a law to be implemented without a long-term regulatory impact assessment. Our request, signed by Civic Coalition MPs from this committee, to convene a special session for a thorough assessment of the regulatory impact will be submitted to the Chairman of the Public Finance Committee today, as such an assessment has not been attached to the parliamentary bill” - added Paulina Hennig-Kloska from the Civic Coalition.

12:22

Hartwich on changes to the Solidarity Fund: PiS government's plunder of people with disabilities

At the beginning of the Sejm's term, PiS wants to take money from people with disabilities. We know how fiercely caregivers of people with disabilities fought in the previous term for people with disabilities to finally receive their rightful benefits, so they wouldn't be discriminated against by PiS. PiS is desperately looking for money to fulfill its election promises. The huge problem is that they are looking for it at the expense of people with disabilities, those most wronged by fate” - said Marzena Okła-Drewnowicz from Civic Coalition at a press conference in the Sejm.

The Solidarity Fund was established in 2018 during the 40-day protest of people with disabilities. It was intended to improve the well-being of people with disabilities. It was meant to allow people with disabilities, sometimes for the first time, to go on rehabilitation stays, to have rehabilitation secured. I am here today to prevent the PiS government's plunder of people with disabilities, because it is very easy to harm our social group. People with disabilities are the weakest social group” - added Iwona Hartwich from KO.

Presidential Office Confirms: Tomorrow PAD to Appoint New PMM Government

Tomorrow, President Andrzej Duda will appoint Mateusz Morawiecki's new government – confirmed the Presidential Office. We wrote about such a scenario a few days ago on 300POLITYCE. Subsequently, the head of government will deliver an expose. Our sources emphasize that the date for the parliamentary address has already been set for Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

Budka:

Civic Coalition Demands President Duda Swear In 3 Legally Elected Constitutional Tribunal Judges. Civic Coalition Will Not Nominate Candidates to the Constitutional Tribunal

The commencement of the process of selecting another 3 judges at this moment, without swearing in those legally elected, constitutes an incitement to further violation of the Constitution. Today, anyone who participates in this procedure will be perpetuating a state that is inconsistent with the Constitution and with the ruling of the Constitutional Tribunal. For this reason, the Civic Coalition club demands that President Andrzej Duda swear in the 3 legally elected judges, and secondly, until consistency with the Constitution is restored to the Constitutional Tribunal, the Civic Coalition club will not participate in any further attempts to violate the Constitution or any illegal election to the Constitutional Tribunal – stated Borys Budka at a press briefing in the Sejm.

The Civic Coalition will not nominate candidates to the Constitutional Tribunal because three positions there have long been filled, and nominating further candidates would solely perpetuate the state of inconsistency with the Constitution – emphasized the head of the PO-KO club.

17:52

President Duda: Don't Listen to Fearmongers; Minimum Wage Increases Will Be Responsible
There were words of gratitude [in the Sejm speech] primarily for participation in the European Parliament elections and the parliamentary elections. I am immensely grateful that in the latter elections, 62% of our compatriots went to the polls and cast their votes. Thank you for taking Polish affairs into your own hands. This is extremely important, I emphasize this very strongly, because it is a matter of the legitimacy of power. Power elected by a significant portion of voters, by the majority of society, has strong legitimacy. In Poland, authorities, thanks to your determination and responsibility, have increasing legitimacy. This is very significant because we strongly desire Poland to become an ever-better country, meaning a state that is more just, where people live better, more prosperously. Where there is work, as little unemployment as possible, and decent pay. I know that these words sound particularly poignant in this region of our country. Because this is the region where wages have not been very high until now. Quite the contrary. They belonged to the lower end. I don't want to say among the lowest in our country, but the incomes of the state, the district, the municipalities here are not high incomes. These are municipalities that rather struggle to make ends meet to satisfy the needs of their residents – stated President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with residents of Kazimierza Wielka. - We want people in Poland to earn more and more. We are striving for that. But I would really like you to have complete clarity. So that you can be sure. We are approaching this with great deliberation and great calm. Today, some people often try to scare people, saying: they will come, they will raise the minimum wage irresponsibly, people will lose their jobs, people will be fired. Ladies and gentlemen, calm down. Do not listen to such voices. Plans are meant to be implemented, but plans are also meant to be revised. To adapt them to current circumstances and existing possibilities. All of this will be implemented responsibly. So as not to harm, above all. It's all about helping, after all. And all of this will be implemented as it has been implemented so far – PAD continued.

18:02

President Duda: "I Will Veto Any Harmful Proposals Threatening Jobs or Livelihoods"

- I want to assure you that all such ideas that are harmful and that could threaten jobs or people's livelihoods in any way, I will scrutinize with particular attention. If they genuinely pose a danger, I will simply stop them, as long as I am president, because that is the role of the president. To stop everything that is harmful to people and against which people, ordinary people, genuinely protest. Not some elites who are swimming in money and privileges. Only ordinary people. Because it is for them that power should serve, and that is the most important thing - stated President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with residents of Kazimierza Wielka.

19:26

Buda:

Confederation's Views Are Unacceptable

- I believe that Confederation holds views that are unacceptable, simply unacceptable. If they talk about better cooperation with Russia, if they talk about leaving the European Union, if they talk about truly absurd things that contradict European law, then there is no room to adopt their views. It's the extreme of extremes, and in life, no one would ever implement the views they proclaim - said Waldemar Buda in an interview with Łukasz Jankowski on "Popołudnie Wnet".

- Showing their voters [PSL] that they are a kind of guarantor for things that only we can implement. If someone today talks about tax-free pensions, they should know that during their eight years in power, they indexed pensions by 5 PLN. The guarantor of pension increases is PiS, which is actually doing it - Buda added when asked about the PSL.

19:43

Schetyna:

Several Candidates Are Seriously Considering Running in the Primaries

- I think there are definitely several candidates who are seriously considering the possibility of running in the primaries. They are not the classic kind, as there will be three debates, three presentations, and a convention - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

19:45

Schetyna:

2010 Primaries Weren't Rigged. Sikorski's Statement Was Ill-Considered

- They [the 2010 primaries] were not rigged. This is what happens when someone loses; they have to find reasons for their defeat. What [Radosław Sikorski] said is ill-considered. I was present during those primaries, I observed them, I participated, and they were absolutely transparent and clear, just like all elections within Platforma, both direct and indirect, have been and are - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in a conversation with Dorota Gawryluk on the program "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

19:49

Schetyna on Presidential Primaries: Several Willing Local Government Officials and Mayors, Kidawa-Błońska is the Favorite
- There are certainly several willing local government officials, mayors. We will see. November 19th is the deadline. I don't know, because the matter is open, and please understand me correctly. The information we received, which is being talked about, that Marshal Kidawa-Błońska wants to run, does not discourage other candidates, because it is known that her popularity shows her position, meaning she is the favorite of these primaries, and this does not make others optimistic, but I am convinced that there will be other good candidates - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program "Wydarzenia i opinie" on Polsat News. - She [Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska] is certainly the favorite in the primaries, and she is a very good candidate. However, I cannot disqualify others who will register by Tuesday, because I believe there are several people who can aspire and have huge chances in this electoral race - the Civic Platform chairman continued.

19:55

Kierwiński:

The Government's First 100 Days Program Means Price Hikes and Taking Money from Poles. Morawiecki Has Started Roaming Polish Cities, Beginning to Empty Pockets

- The truth is brutal. We've seen PiS's program for the first 100 days. Not some Morawiecki's 'five,' not five points, not the commitments that were made. The program for the first 100 days of Mr. Morawiecki's government means price hikes and taking money from Poles. You could say, dear viewers, be careful, Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki has started roaming the streets of Polish cities and is beginning to take money out of your pockets - said Marcin Kierwiński in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program 'Wydarzenia i Opinie' on Polsat News.

19:57

Schetyna:

Voting with PiS and seeking common ground is deadly. But it's the SLD leaders' decision.

- That would be deadly politics [SLD voting with PiS]. I don't think so. For SLD. Voting with PiS and seeking common ground between these two parties is deadly. But it's the decision of the SLD leaders - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News, when asked about the SLD potentially supporting some of PiS's ideas.

20:00

Grodzki's Address: The Senate Will Pass or Amend Laws, and Propose Its Own
The Senate will carry out its assigned duties in such a way as to convince you that it is possible to conduct political dispute in a decent, normal manner, without mutual animosity or hatred, with the sole aim of serving the nation. We will pass laws from the Sejm, and if we deem them good, we will enact them. If they require amendments, we will amend them and send them back to the Sejm. I will also expect the Senate to create its own laws, which, after enactment according to good legislative practices, we will send to the Sejm as Senate initiatives. Anyone who fears that the Senate will be a tool for blocking the Sejm is completely mistaken. - stated the Marshal of the Senate, Tomasz Grodzki, in an address broadcast on TVP. Below is the full text of the speech. ***** I believe that, in service of truth, voters should have the full right to know about the work of our country's most important institutions. Therefore, I am pleased to inform you that the Senate of the Republic of Poland of the 10th term has elected its authorities and commenced its work. In this term, the nation, in its collective wisdom, has decided that the ruling camp will have a majority in the Sejm, and the opposition in the Senate, or rather, a democratically elected majority composed of Senators from Civic Coalition, PSL, the Left, and independent senators. This to some extent restores balance in political struggles, but at the same time places a tremendous responsibility for words, actions, and decisions on both sides. We must not waste this mandate received from millions of voters. In the Sejm, but also in the Senate, representing the majesty of the Republic and the power of our nation, it is clearly visible that the strength of our society lies in diversity, which brings with it the creativity and energy of Polish women and men, which can never be suppressed by attempts to force us all into the framework of one, rigid, sometimes bizarre ideology. The communists learned this, and all those who undertake such attempts will learn it too; they are doomed to failure in the shorter or longer term. The only way for Poland to develop harmoniously is to accept the premise that all Poles are equal, regardless of their character, beliefs, or race. All have equal rights, but also obligations towards their homeland. No one is allowed to divide people into better or worse, as this contradicts respect for inherent human dignity. Only when we ensure that everyone feels happy and secure about their future in our beautiful country can we unleash the enormous energy that lies dormant in our nation and can transform into remarkable achievements and accomplishments. Only then can we guarantee our children, grandchildren, and ourselves security and prosperity. In our odyssey through life in search of happiness and fulfillment of dreams, some find it easier, others harder, some are cast to the margins by this journey, and still others must sometimes carry a very heavy cross. And here begins the role of politicians' humble, service-oriented, and prudent work. For those of you who are brimming with strength and energy, we must create conditions for the implementation of bold projects and the utilization of their creativity for the common good. Those whom life has tested more than others should be supported to make them believe again that dreams can come true. The sick must be provided with efficient and accessible healthcare, the poor with protection against destitution, children with good education, and those with artistic talents with the opportunity to create and show their extraordinary works to the world. Examples can be multiplied, but I provide them to show how I understand the creation of good law that will make the lives of Polish women and men easier and simpler. Good law should make our lives easier and better - this is the main task for those who create it. The Senate is particularly predisposed to this, according to the maxim that it is the constitutional body that incites other authorities to noble deeds, deters them from ignoble ones, and cools emotions. I assure you that I will do everything in my power, by utilizing the enormous potential of the senators, elected by tens and hundreds of thousands of voters, to make the Senate a place that will be a forge of the best law, where respect, decency, the rule of law, honor, truth, and normal substantive work will reign, and where hypocrisy, cynicism, deception, lies, and the bending of the Constitution or the Senate's regulations will not be allowed entrance. I come from Szczecin, a city never conquered, which for the longest time in its history was the capital of the powerful Duchy of Pomerania, and after the war was settled by brave, creative people from all over Poland. These people, while respecting their traditions and customs, created a unique mix, learned mutual tolerance, respect, and the common cultivation of the spirit of freedom that uniquely hovers over this city, securing Szczecin a significant place in the history of the fight for a free, democratic Poland. I am a doctor, who in my path encountered both patients whose beauty of mind or body was awe-inspiring, and those whom fate pushed into the abyss of hopelessness and degradation. The Hippocratic Oath and the general principles of medical ethics oblige us to treat everyone to the best of our knowledge, regardless of their appearance, race, color, beliefs, or type of illness. It is good to transfer these principles of approaching everyone together and each individually with respect to normal life, including politics. The Senate of the Republic of Poland, for obvious reasons, does not deal with healing in the medical sense, but by creating good, wise laws, drafted with the aim of making the fate of millions of Polish women and men better or more bearable, it can significantly contribute to the healing of Poland, which is afflicted by many problems, the worst of which is perhaps the poisoning of our mutual relations with the virus of mutual animosity and deep divisions among compatriots, which seem insurmountable. But I want to assure you that every illness, even the most severe, especially if treated wisely, eventually ends, sometimes faster than anyone would expect, which I wish for you and myself, because the future does not need fear, but inspiration, vision, and faith in the power of our magnificent nation. Kierwiński to Fogiel on Abolishing the 30x Limit: The Brutal Truth is You're Filling the Budget Today Because You Lack Funds for Your Promises

- You know perfectly well that the pension system is structured in such a way, and this 30x limit prevents disproportionate future pensions. The brutal truth is that today you are filling the budget because you don't have the means to fulfill your own promises, and you are completely disregarding what will happen in a year, in two years – said Marcin Kierwiński in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program „Wydarzenia i Opinie” (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

Fogiel on Agreement's Resistance to Abolishing the 30x Cap: The Question is Whether We Will Gain the Votes of Other Political Parties

- The question is whether we will gain the votes of other political parties. We would always want projects submitted by the government or PiS MPs to gain the broadest possible support - said Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

Rymanowski to Fogiel on Excise Tax: So, You're Following in the Platform's Footsteps?
The last excise tax increase was in 2014. Please remind me who was in power then – said Radosław Fogiel in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program “Wydarzenia i Opinie” on Polsat News. - So, I understand you're following in the Platform's footsteps? – the journalist stated. - I am convinced it was PO. We managed to not raise excise taxes for the entire 2015-2019 term. At this moment, it will be an increase of just under PLN 1.5 on a bottle of vodka – Fogiel continued.

Netflix on "The Devil Next Door" Series: We Will Add Explanatory Texts to Maps in the Coming Days to Clarify Nazi German Responsibility

- We support the creators of the series “The Devil Next Door” (Ivan the Terrible of Treblinka), who have done important work and research. To provide our users with more information on the important topics presented in this documentary series and to avoid misunderstandings, we will add explanatory texts to some of the maps presented in it in the coming days. This will help clarify that the extermination camps and concentration camps were built and operated by the German Nazi regime, which invaded and occupied Poland from 1939-1945 – Netflix informed in a statement published on social media.

Kidawa-Błońska on Grodzki's Address: It Shows the Senate Can Be a Different Place, Politics Can Be Practiced Differently There

"This address [by Marshal Tomasz Grodzki] shows that the Senate can be a different place, that politics can be practiced differently there. Even the language of this address is different. It refers to values, to what is most important to us," said Deputy Marshal of the Sejm Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska of Civic Coalition in an interview with Monika Olejnik on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

Kidawa-Błońska on Sikorski: "We are completely different, we have different temperaments"
"[Radosław Sikorski and I] are completely different. We have different temperaments. Those who know me sometimes say I am a calm, gentle person, but those who know me well also know perfectly well that if I decide to implement something, I am effective in what I do. I make sure not to cross the line, not to offend people, not to alienate them, but to implement what I have decided upon," said the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska from Civic Coalition, in an interview with Monika Olejnik on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

Kidawa-Błońska on Support Fund Changes: They'll Take from the Disabled While Claiming to Give to Pensioners. Society is Divided Again

This is a huge scandal. During the election campaign, many promises were made - the thirteenth, fourteenth pension. After protests from families of disabled people, a fund was created to help them. A lot was promised, a budget was created where these provisions are missing, and it turns out the money isn't there. They'll take from the disabled while claiming to give to pensioners. Society is divided again” – said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska from Civic Coalition, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, in a conversation with Monika Olejnik on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

Kidawa-Błońska on the ZUS 30-fold contribution limit bill: "If the Left votes 'yes', it means they are worthless, that the Left is with PiS. I believe they will not succumb to easy, populist promises."

I hope that even for the Left, economics and the future of future generations of Poles and the pension system matter, and that they will check the experts' calculations, count it all up, and not vote [‘yes’]. [If they vote ‘yes’], it means they are worthless, [that the Left] is with PiS. I truly believe in substantive arguments and that they will not succumb to such easy, populist promises, but will think about Poland in 10, in 15 years” - said the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska from Civic Coalition, in an interview with Monika Olejnik on „Kropka nad i” on TVN24.
