Civic Platform Board Delays Decision on Presidential Candidate Selection. Next Meeting on November 8th. Schetyna: Tusk Would Be the Obvious Platform Candidate if He Declared His Intentions
"I am rather [a proponent] of reaching a candidate who will have not only party support but also civic support, who will be a civic candidate. We have time. We have left ourselves time until next Friday," said the party leader Grzegorz Schetyna to journalists after the Civic Platform board meeting.
"We are discussing how to arrive at the best candidacy. Donald Tusk, if he were to say that he wants to run, then he is the obvious candidate for the Platform. We will discuss the details on the 8th [of November] and we will present them," he added.
