Grzegorz Schetyna, the leader of Civic Platform (PO), has stated that the request for a recount of votes in the parliamentary elections "smells of undermining the election results." He made these remarks in reference to the actions taken by the opposition after the election was over.

Schetyna emphasized that the election results are final and have been announced by the State Electoral Commission (PKW). He also pointed out that the vast majority of votes have already been counted and that any attempts to question these results would be an attempt to destabilize the political situation.

The leader of PO also commented on the fact that the opposition parties, particularly those that did not achieve satisfactory results, are now resorting to such measures. He suggested that instead of questioning the election, they should focus on analyzing their own electoral performance and drawing conclusions for the future.

Schetyna's statement indicates a clear stance against any attempts to challenge the democratic process and the declared outcomes of the parliamentary elections.
