Paruch on Tusk: This is Not a Return to Polish Politics. The Defeat in the European Elections Discredited the Original Idea of a Presidential Election Strategy

- Donald Tusk is reminding everyone that he still exists. However, this is not a return to Polish politics in any dimension. The defeat in the European elections discredited the original idea of a presidential election strategy. This is unlikely. It also sends a signal within Civic Platform that perhaps Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska is the candidate who will emerge for us in the presidential elections – said Waldemar Paruch in an interview with Michał Rachoń on the TVP Info program „Jedziemy”.

07:54

Kukiz:

Voting for Polish Coalition is Making a Choice. Are You Voting for Democracy, or Dictatorship, i.e., PiS?

- Voting for the Polish Coalition is making a choice. Are you voting for democracy, which is list number 1, PSL-Koalicja Polska, Kukiz'15, or are you voting for dictatorship, which is PiS. Let's not confuse a coalition with an agreement. I never wanted, I had no aspirations to govern, because I don't know how to do it. [PSL certainly wants to govern], but they have included demands in their program that interest me. Demands that change the state's system, build democracy in Poland, and end the authoritarian system - stated Paweł Kukiz in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- PiS will not fulfill the demands. I have 100% certainty about this. If the first faction they spoke with was PiS. I spoke with Mr. President [Kaczyński] for 4 years about the necessity of changing the electoral law. And that is the clue - continued the leader of Kukiz'15.

07:54

Paruch:

Opposition Playing a Different Tactical Game, Konfederacja Now Key as PiS Surpasses 45%

- For several days now, the opposition has been playing a different tactical game. So-called 'playing for the fifth party.' What is this about? When polls showed PiS around 40%, the result of the third party was key. That's how the communication strategy was conducted, so that the third party would clearly exceed 10%. But now, when PiS's polling results exceed 45%, the fifth party, Konfederacja, becomes crucial - said Waldemar Paruch in an interview with Michał Rachoń on the TVP Info program 'Jedziemy'.

07:59

Kukiz:

PO's Support So Poor, It's Highly Unlikely to Matter in the Power Struggle

- I am horrified by the situation where this [Civic] Platform has such poor support that it's actually highly unlikely to matter in any way in this power struggle - stated Paweł Kukiz in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

08:08

Kukiz to Schetyna: If you commit to introducing at least a mixed electoral system and pledge to resign as PO leader if you achieve a poor result, I can declare I won't engage with PiS.

- I have already responded [to Grzegorz Schetyna's appeal]. If Grzegorz Schetyna, dear Grzegorz. If you commit that in a situation where you lack Kukiz and PSL to govern, and you commit that at that moment you will introduce at least a mixed electoral system, and you make a second pledge in addition to that, that in the event you achieve a poor result, you will resign from the position of PO chairman, then even at this moment I can declare that I will not enter into any relations with PiS. Does that suit you? - stated Paweł Kukiz in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- If Grzegorz Schetyna gets, let's say, 20%, then why do I need Grzegorz Schetyna if he cannot introduce my demands? Simple. PiS does not want to introduce my demands, so they are immediately out. They will not introduce these demands because the intention of the leader is to strengthen state authoritarianism and strengthen the position of the First Secretary - he continued.

08:12

Kukiz:

Kaczyński Doesn't Want to Change the Electoral Law. Therefore, Any Alliance with PiS is Out.

- I begged him [Jarosław] for 4 years, I tried to convince him to change the electoral law. He didn't change it. So it's either political schizophrenia or simply deceiving voters, people. He doesn't want to change the electoral law. I simply know. Therefore, any alliance with PiS is out - stated Paweł Kukiz in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" program.

08:16

Dworczyk:

We Will Do Everything to Keep Electricity Prices at the Current Level

- We will do everything to keep electricity prices at the current level. Just as we fulfilled our declarations for 2019, I am convinced that in 2020, we will also manage to maintain electricity prices - said Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Conversation".

08:22

Kidawa-Błońska on Wałęsa: 'He's a Remarkable Individual. I Regret His Words at the Convention. One Day He Captivates Us, the Next He Leaves Us in Silence.'

Lech Wałęsa is Lech Wałęsa. I consider his address at the convention… A few things he said, I received with great regret. I regret that the President used such words and spoke in such a manner at the convention at all, but I always say that Lech Wałęsa is a remarkable individual, and one day he delivers speeches that captivate us all, while the next day, after his address, there is silence. It was a speech, it has passed. We must think about what comes next” - said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, the Civic Coalition's candidate for Prime Minister and Deputy Marshal, in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News.

08:22

Dworczyk:

Discussions on the so-called Digital Tax Took Place at the EU Forum, But Concluded Without Resolution. Therefore, This Tax Will Not Be Introduced for Now

- Discussions on the tax, the so-called digital tax, took place at the European Union forum and, fortunately or unfortunately, did not conclude. Consequently, this tax will not be introduced for the time being - said Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Conversation".

08:23

Kidawa-Błońska:

Wałęsa's Speech Wasn't Received as Enthusiastically as Other Colleagues'. Kaczyński Spoke Terrible Words in the Sejm, PiS Colleagues Clapped, They Were Delighted

If someone observed the chamber, they would have seen that his [Lech Wałęsa's] speech was not received as enthusiastically as that of our other colleagues. If PiS has nothing else [to do] than to watch who claps, who smiles. When the president spoke terrible words in the Sejm, PiS colleagues clapped, they were delighted” – said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Civic Coalition's candidate for Prime Minister and Deputy Marshal, in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News.

08:25

Kidawa-Błońska on Potential First Foreign Visit as Head of Government: 'I Would Go to Brussels to Say Poland Wants to Be a Partner, a Pro-EU Country That Cooperates'

"I would go [on my first foreign visit as Prime Minister] to Brussels to say that Poland wants to be important in the European Union, that we want to be a partner, we want to be taken seriously, that we want to be a pro-EU country that cooperates" - said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Civic Coalition's candidate for Prime Minister and Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News.

08:28

Kidawa-Błońska on Recordings Involving Neumann: 'Not Pleasant Conversations to Listen To, But I'm Appalled That Illegal Recordings Have Been the Main Form of Polish Politics for Years'
'They were not pleasant conversations to listen to, but I am appalled that for several years now, politics in Poland has primarily been conducted through illegal [recordings]. We constantly hear that someone has some tapes on someone else, obtained through unknown means. I don't know if they are complete tapes or fragments. I will not concern myself with tapes,' said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Civic Coalition's prime ministerial candidate and Deputy Marshal, in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News.

08:28

Dworczyk:

First and Foremost, I Want Us to Win the Election. It's Not That Obvious, as It Could Be a Pyrrhic Victory

- When we talk about politics, first and foremost, I want us to win the election. Contrary to appearances, or contrary to what you said a few minutes ago, it's not that obvious, because it could be a Pyrrhic victory - said Michał Dworczyk in a conversation with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Interview".

08:39

Müller:

I hope no backup plan will be needed. Wojciechowski's candidacy is a good one, and we will stick with it until the EP makes other decisions.

"I hope no backup plan will be needed. Janusz Wojciechowski's candidacy is a good one, and we will stick with it until the EP makes any other decisions, because we believe he is a very good candidate for the agricultural portfolio" - said government spokesman, Minister Piotr Müller, on Radio Jedynka.

08:49

Gliński:

Around a Dozen People Worked on the PiS Program

- I am very grateful for what [PiS Chairman Kaczyński] says about the author of the PiS program, but I think it was a team effort. I believe around a dozen people worked on the program. I unified or coordinated these efforts, and perhaps that's why the Chairman said that. Of course, I am the author of some fragments. The most important thing is that we have something serious to present to society, because that's how politicians should work. Let's believe that politicians are here to realize the public good. This public good must be discussed, agreed upon with society, and then translated into a program, and then the program must be implemented, and there must be a period of reporting and accountability for politicians regarding what they were supposed to accomplish. That's how politics should look – stated Piotr Gliński on PR1's "Sygnały dnia".

08:53

Gliński:

Over 90% of our promises fulfilled. The rest are in progress, and we've achieved many additional goals
Yes, it's a kind of contract. We present things to be implemented, we are hired by society to work, and we have an obligation to deliver what we promise. Therefore, it seems that after 4 years, we can say with a clear conscience that we have certainly fulfilled over 90% of our commitments. The rest are in progress, and we have achieved many additional goals that were not in the original program – stated Piotr Gliński in "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

09:43

Zgorzelski:

PSL Will Enter Parliament; WKK Won't Have to Resign as Leader, We'll Convince Him to Run for President

- PSL will enter the Sejm because PSL was, is, and will be, and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will not have to resign from his position as leader, but rather we will be preparing to convince him to run for President of Poland - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

Giving Our Seniors a Voice: Pensions Should Be Permanently Higher, Not Just Once a Year. PSL-Koalicja Polska's New Campaign Spot

- Dinner will be soon, Dad. Look, everything has gotten more expensive again, and you still have a low pension. They even take taxes from it. They gave you the 13th pension as a consolation, and you’ve worked so hard your whole life, paying taxes. They promised you another one, but they forgot to include it in the budget. But you won’t be fooled a second time, will you, Dad? - says a young woman, a daughter, to her father in another PSL-Koalicja Polska clip, which 300POLITYKA is publishing first. Its main theme is seniors and tax-free pensions, a flagship idea of the Polish People's Party.

- We will give our seniors a voice. Pensions should be permanently higher. Not just once a year. We will introduce tax-free pensions. Because seniors have already paid their taxes. This is a token of our gratitude and respect. For years of hard work - says Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the clip.

- I’m going to vote for Kosiniak's list - concludes the previously mentioned father in the spot. The clip uses fragments of the song "Polska budzi się" (Poland is Waking Up), one of Paweł Kukiz’s biggest hits.

10:23

Wałęsa:

Given Recent Poll Results, I Publicly Ask Civic Platform to Release Me from My Promise to Vote for Them. I Want to Support Kosiniak-Kamysz

- Given the recent presented results of various opinion polls, I publicly ask Civic Platform to release me from my public promise that I would vote for Civic Platform. I want to support Kosiniak-Kamysz! I cannot imagine that such a capable politician as Kosiniak-Kamysz, as well as the people from the countryside organized by him, would not have a place in parliament – wrote Lech Wałęsa on Facebook.

- What has this K… led to through manipulation, lies, and breaking the law. The moral themes preached here only obscure this perfidious game. In my opinion, this is a group of practicing NON-BELIEVERS! Once again, I ask you, my countrymen, listen to me, save Poland's development, and remove these dangerous people from decision-making positions – emphasized the former president.

10:26

President Duda: Polish Soldiers Returning to UN Peacekeeping in Lebanon, Bringing Peace with Blue Helmets Once More

- I am very pleased that our soldiers are returning, in the fullest sense of the word, to service within the UN peacekeeping forces. We have decades of tradition in this service. We had. This tradition was interrupted for a moment, but our soldiers are returning. They will serve in Lebanon. I hope that soon Polish blue helmets will once again bring peace - said President Andrzej Duda during a visit to the training ground in Nowa Dęba.

11:02

Schetyna Questions PiS Promises: "Where are the 13th Pensions? Where is the Funding for 100 Bypass Roads?"

- There is no entry in the draft budget for 2020, no 13th pension, so how can one talk about the 13th and 14th [pensions]? If they talk about preventive check-ups for Poles over 40, it's a simple copy of our program. We talk about check-ups, about health assessments after the age of 50, but how can one have credibility for these claims and proposals if a government agency of the Ministry of Health forbids, does not permit the financing of preventive check-ups for 70-year-olds, which the capital city of Warsaw wants to conduct? President Trzaskowski, wanting to examine seniors, does not get consent or approval from the Ministry of Health's agenda, because it is said that the costs of future treatment will then be too high. How can one seriously talk about the 100 bypass roads proposed by PiS within 100 days, declarations about starting the construction of 100 bypass roads, if they have halted all infrastructure investments? After all, as far as expressways and motorways are concerned, not only are they not finishing the projects that we left them, prepared, and tendered for, leaving them budgeted funds, but often contractors are already leaving unfinished sections because there is no money. Because it does not add up financially. These are promises and specifics that truly show that PiS's proposals have no credibility – stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a press conference in Gniezno.

11:04

Schetyna on Wojciechowski: Today he has a second round of questions, and it seems that after last week's embarrassing performance, he will definitively end his career as a future European Commissioner today

- If we hear about equalizing agricultural subsidies, it's worth noting that just recently, a few days ago, Janusz Wojciechowski, PiS's candidate for European Commissioner, didn't utter a single word to say that these subsidies for farmers in Poland would be equalized to the European average. When directly asked, he said nothing. Today he has a second round of questions, and it seems that after last week's embarrassing performance, he will definitively end his career as a future European Commissioner today – stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a press conference in Gniezno.

11:08

Schetyna Responds to PiS: It's All About Power to Win. These Promises, Truly Political Deception, Will Not Be Fulfilled

- This is an entire project that shows how unbelievable this PiS program is. It's all about power to win, to make promises and then be able to explain why these things cannot be realized, because they will not be realized. Today I am saying this very firmly and showing it clearly. There is no chance that these promises, which are in reality political deception and misleading Poles, will not be fulfilled - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a press conference in Gniezno.

11:16

President Duda: Salary Increases for the Military Effective January 1, 2020
The average monthly salary of a professional soldier, I repeat, the average, including allowances, will increase by PLN 576 per month. This is a significant amount, and I hope it will contribute to the household budgets of Polish families where members of that family serve the Republic of Poland as professional soldiers – stated President Andrzej Duda in Nowa Dęba. He added that the increase will take effect from January 1, 2020.

11:45

"Citizens Speak": Civic Coalition Unveils New Election Spot

Poles, when they spoke about problems, told us they were aware of how the hate machine operates today, of public media, of how the hate machine connected with the circles of the current government operates. Despite this, they are brave because they know it is worth speaking the truth and that it is worth discussing in public debate the problems that must be solved for tomorrow to be better” - said Mariusz Witczak from PO at a press conference.

Public media are actively campaigning on the side of the ruling party and are solely focused on attacking opposition parties. In public media, we will not hear or see the true picture of reality. We will not hear about hospital wards closing every day, we will not see images of overcrowded schools, or pensioners being turned away from pharmacies unable to buy medication. All of this should be the subject of the highest interest of public media” - added Arkadiusz Myrcha from PO.

Polish Exports Grow Twice as Fast as Global Exports, Says PM Morawiecki
Polish exports create jobs here in Poland. At the same time, we can proudly present data for the years 2016-2018, which are your data, dear entrepreneurs, showing that Polish exports are growing twice as fast as global exports – said Mateusz Morawiecki during Congress 590.

The PiS Government Attracts American, Japanese, Any Honest Capital, Provided They Pay Taxes Here and Undertake Primarily Greenfield Investments

We are attracting capital, although I would like to point out one fundamental difference. The Law and Justice government attracts American, Japanese, any capital, any honest capital, provided they pay taxes here and provided these are primarily greenfield investments – said Mateusz Morawiecki during Congress 590.

The Work of Improving the Tax System is the Source of Our Economic Success

- It is our work on improving the tax system that is the primary source of our economic success. German brokerage houses admit this, Brussels think tanks admit this, the European Commission admits this, that our sealing of the tax system is de facto that mythical Atlas, which carries our entire economic growth - said Mateusz Morawiecki during Congress 590.

13:43

PMM:

We will protect every honest Polish entrepreneur and all Polish workers. This is the path to realizing the Polish model of a welfare state.
The court is the court, but justice must be on our side. That's what the German regulator said. We declare to all regulators that we will follow in their footsteps. We will do everything to support Polish consumers, Polish producers, entrepreneurs, and Poland's clean environment, because this is naturally in our interest. Building savings by Poles with Polish capital. We will protect every honest Polish entrepreneur and all Polish workers. This is the path to realizing the Polish model of a welfare state - said Mateusz Morawiecki during Congress 590.

14:06

Biedroń:

The 'Save Women' Bill Must Return to Parliament. I Hope My Colleagues from Civic Platform and Modern, This Time, Won't Withhold Their Votes.

- The 'Save Women' bill, which is a broad, cross-party initiative, a project in which women have been involved, and fortunately, supportive men too. This bill must return to the Sejm. I hope that my colleagues from Civic Platform or Modern, this time, will not withhold their voting cards - said Robert Biedroń during a Left parliamentary group press conference in Kielce.

14:08

Biedroń:

We Will Remind Every Day That Women Still Have to Take to the Streets Solely Because Fanatical Politicians, Hand-in-Hand with Priests, Are Trying to Restrict Women's Rights

- Every day, during every debate, we will be the conscience of all those who have led to the situation where Poland is today the only country on this map where hell for women still continues. We will remind every day that women still earn 20% less than men. We will remind every day that women still have to take to the streets solely because some fanatical politicians, hand-in-hand with priests, are trying to restrict women's rights - said Robert Biedroń during a press conference of Lewica in Kielce.

14:23

Kaczyński:

PiS Has Gained Credibility. For the First Time Since 1989, Pre-Election Promises Have Been Fulfilled

I believe that a good way to put it is one that refers to the following matters. Law and Justice has gained credibility. For the first time in the history of Poland since 1989, promises made before elections have been fulfilled, but – what’s more – promises made during the term of office – before the local government elections – have also been fulfilled. This is of great value to Polish democracy, because democracy makes sense when parties’ promises are realized. If this is not the case, we are dealing with an empty procedure that lacks a democratic character” – said the PiS chairman, Jarosław Kaczyński, in Warsaw.

14:24

Kaczyński on Civic Coalition: Betting on Confederation so the Coalition Becomes Four-Headed

On Neumann’s tapes, there’s a fragment where some Zbyszek is suffering because he’ll have to support Mr. Biedroń. Part of this statement cannot be repeated, but that his teeth hurt, I can repeat. Regarding the toothache, betting on Confederation, just so that the coalition, in essence one party, becomes four-headed, that also causes toothaches, but they are betting on it” - said PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński in Warsaw.

14:28

Kaczyński:

We are an empathetic formation, we can empathize with the situation of others, including those who are doing very poorly and were particularly affected by the transformations after 1989.

We are an empathetic formation, we can empathize with the situation of others, including those who are doing very poorly, those who were particularly affected by all the transformations after 1989, pushed to the margins, driven into poverty. We were guided by empathy. Our great social program led to the elimination of the sphere of poverty, often extreme destitution, and the 'tab' system hanging in shops” – said PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński in Warsaw.

14:35

Kaczyński:

Late Post-Communism Marches Under the Solidarity Banner. But it's a False Banner. We Have the True Solidarity Banner Today

- They, although they often invoke this social movement and a certain gentleman who says various things, often put it at the forefront, as was the case recently. I will not comment on this, because it is better to lower the curtain of silence and shame. In any case, they refer to it. Late post-communism, I spoke about this in Lublin, has the characteristic that it marches under the banner of Solidarity. Only, this is a false banner. We, of course, together with the trade union, have the true Solidarity banner today - said Jarosław Kaczyński during the PiS convention in Warsaw.

14:38

Kaczyński:

Our conviction about the need for sustainable development remains very strong. We are not giving up on it in the slightest.

There is also another aspect, which may not refer to poverty, but rather to equality – equality of opportunity for different social groups and interregional equality. I was born in Warsaw and have spent my entire life in Warsaw. Contrary to what some may have thought, my grandparents from both sides also lived in Żoliborz. Someone once said that I am not a true Żoliborz resident. I am a Żoliborz resident” – stated PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński in Warsaw.

Our conviction about the need for sustainable development remains very strong. We are not giving up on it in the slightest. We must equalize living standards in Poland. This is very important” – he added.

14:42

Kaczyński:

Today in these elections, we are deciding not only on economic and social matters. We are also deciding on what is the foundation of our society.

Today in these elections, we are deciding not only on economic and social matters. We are also deciding on what is the foundation of our society” – said PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński in Warsaw.

We, here, must defend ourselves. There is an offensive underway by those who want to destroy civilization, undermine our national traditions and everything that has created the very foundation of foundations, namely the Polish family, but also the Polish faith. It must be clearly stated, to repeat what I said in Rzeszów. Tolerance “yes”, we are very tolerant. Opposite me sits Minister Kamiński, who ensures that those who manifest various strange things are not harmed by anyone. But there is a difference between tolerance and affirmation” – he added.

14:46

Kaczyński:

PiS Government Represents Freedom, Tolerance, and Democracy; Opponents' Rule is a Fiction, Lacking Freedom and Tolerance, Betraying Solidarity's Dreams

The PiS government is a government of freedom and tolerance. Freedom, tolerance, and democracy. The rule of our opponents is a fiction of democracy, a lack of freedom, a lack of tolerance. It is the end of all that we dreamed of during the times of Solidarity, all that we dreamed of when we thought about Poland becoming free” - stated PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński in Warsaw.

14:47

Kaczyński:

Those who claim we are detached from reality, like a certain Mr. S, are completely wrong
Regardless of whether there is a boom or a slump in Europe, we are prepared for all of it. By balancing the budget, we have prepared ourselves to sustain these policies in case of a difficult situation, even if things are bad around Poland - said Jarosław Kaczyński during the PiS convention in Warsaw. Those who claim, like a certain Mr. S, who snaps his teeth, that we are detached from reality, is completely untrue. We live in this reality, we assess the situation completely realistically - added the PiS leader.

Kidawa-Błońska Presents Civic Coalition's New Campaign Spot:

Girls, Polish Women, YOU are Poland's Strength!
It's true, there are a great many women on our lists, very well-prepared in terms of substance. Over 43% of the spots on the lists are occupied by my colleagues. These elections are very important. In these elections, the fight is for the most crucial things, for values, for respect, for rights, including women's rights. We, as the Civic Coalition, prepared the January Declaration in January. It contains all the important matters for Polish women, and also for Polish men. It's a very important document that we have pledged to put into practice. Because one cannot speak of a modern, good country when women's rights are not respected, when there is a division between men and women. We want a free, democratic Poland, where we all have our rights and we are all respected. Throughout Poland's history, Polish women have shown many times that in the most critical moments, they were able to unite, take matters into their own hands, and take on challenges. And now is the time when we, all Polish women, must decide what kind of Poland we want, make that decision, and persuade others to vote. We will guarantee Poland security and respect. We will not allow politicians to disregard the issue of creches in our country and say that it is a relic of communism. For women, creches are very important; they give us a sense of freedom, independence, and the conviction that our children are in good hands, well cared for. Women have the right to work if they wish, and the state should fulfill this function for them – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska during the presentation of the Civic Coalition's new campaign spot. https://twitter.com/Platforma_org/status/1181552736720039936

Kidawa-Błońska:

Szyszko's words are a scandal. He should apologize

- Mr. Szyszko's words are a scandal. He speaks with disgust, in a disgusting way, about children conceived through IVF. He talks about biology, and we talk about love, the greatest desire of every family, to have their own child. I believe he should apologize for his words to all Polish families and to all families with children who were born using this method. He talks about sperm, forgetting that it's about people, families, and feelings. This is a very important matter. I do not agree with such treatment of women, such treatment of issues that are important to us. That is why I appeal to all Polish women: go to the polls, because we must take responsibility for Poland. Without us, a catastrophe could happen - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at a press conference.

15:21

Kidawa-Błońska:

Wałęsa is a free man and can make his own decisions and vote for whomever he wants, because it's democracy

- Every person in our country is free, and every person votes for the formation, for the person, they desire at any given moment. President Wałęsa is a free man and can make his own decisions and vote for whomever he wants, because it's democracy - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at a press conference, when asked about Lech Wałęsa's post today.

Discussions Ongoing in Headquarters Regarding TVN Debate Participation; Its Format Designed for a PiS Representative to Be the Piñata

- Discussions are still ongoing in our headquarters about whether we will participate in this debate, because, if I may, let me outline a bit of the overall context. The debate is being organized by one of the leading news stations, but its format is quite problematic from PiS's perspective. I don't know if you are familiar with the game of piñata. I must admit, anticipating a bit, with the shrewdness of a spokesperson, that a question about today's debate might arise, I took the liberty of preparing some illustrative material. So, piñata, perhaps we know it from American films, series, a custom originating from Mexico, an entertainment where we have some effigy, most often resembling some four-legged, even or odd-toed hoofed animal, which is beaten with sticks by children. Children run, sometimes blindfolded, hitting this poor effigy with sticks, and the plan for today's debate this evening is designed precisely for a PiS representative to play the role of the piñata. The questions are set up, as I said, on one side PiS, on the other side anti-PiS. It would be fair if perhaps anti-PiS fielded one representative, but I understand that then it would be difficult to achieve the effect that the originators intended, namely attacking the PiS representative from all sides. So, we are aware of this. We are not enthusiastic about playing the role indicated in the attached image, although final decisions have not yet been made. We are considering. As for who would potentially represent PiS, we will decide if we opt for participation in this debate - stated Radosław Fogiel at a press conference.

October 13th's Choice Boils Down to This: Will We Vote for PiS or the Anti-PiS Bloc? Fogiel Presents New Campaign Spot

- This is precisely what we have provisionally termed the coalition of chaos, led by a self-satisfied Grzegorz Schetyna. In reality, the choice on October 13th boils down to this: will we vote for PiS or the anti-PiS bloc? And it doesn't matter which party you vote for, or another. Recently, one of the parties tried to pretend it wasn't part of this collective arrangement, but recently, perhaps prematurely, Grzegorz Schetyna burned that plan by inviting them into the coalition, so the choice is clear. Either PiS and the continuation of what we have managed to achieve over the last 4 years, or anti-PiS. Either Poland Plus or Poland Minus, and of course, we leave this decision for the consideration of all Poles - stated Radosław Fogiel at a press conference.

16:37

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I Wish for Words of Apology for What Wałęsa Said to the Late Kornel Morawiecki on Sunday

- Every vote counts on October 13th cast for the Polish People's Party, but I believe more important words should be spoken: an apology for what President Wałęsa said on Sunday to the late Kornel Morawiecki - stated the leader of PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. As he noted, the Peasants' Party did not solicit the former president's support.

PM:

We are launching the pitch roofing program. It's a good time for Poland, it must be a good time for Polish football.
Yes, as we announced earlier, we are launching the pitch roofing program, because we need to level the playing field for our young, wonderful boys, who cannot train all year round like their counterparts in Southern Europe, and the kind of talent that once grew here, we must now re-promote in Poland, because Polish football must have its good time. It's a good time for Poland, it must be a good time for Polish football - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated at a press conference regarding the program for building football pitch roofs. He added, "We want Polish football to be famous worldwide again."

17:30

Morawiecki:

"I never doubted Wojciechowski, a distinguished agricultural specialist, would be approved, and so he was."

- We are very pleased to have secured the portfolio, or the Ministry of Agriculture. I never had any doubts, and I stated as much, that Janusz Wojciechowski, as a distinguished specialist in the field of agriculture, would be approved, and so it has indeed happened. In fact, I spoke with the President of the European Commission yesterday, and I can say that this is a very good omen for our plan to achieve equal subsidies for Polish farmers. This will be the primary task of our Polish Commissioner, but also of a person who will be responsible, co-responsible, and will be one of the key decision-makers for the EU budget exceeding 300 billion euros for agricultural policy, for the common agricultural policy. Thus, it is a huge success for Polish diplomacy, our success that we have obtained this Ministry of Agriculture in the EC. And today, with our Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski, who knows the subject of agriculture extremely well, we will create the best possible conditions for the development of the Polish countryside and Polish agriculture, of course, throughout the EU. But our top priority is Polish farmers, the Polish countryside, and I am convinced that both breeders and our farmers who have low-yield, small-scale, medium-scale farms, as well as those large farmers who export throughout the EU, can count on the help of Polish Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski. This is very good news for the Polish countryside and for Polish agriculture - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference concerning the program for the construction of football pitch roofs.

Duda:

If You Want to Criticize, First Vote. If You Vote, You're Entitled to Criticize. If You Don't Vote, You Haven't Taken Responsibility, So Don't Debate.

- Regardless of your views, please encourage your family to go, that it's necessary to take responsibility. If someone wants to criticize, let them go vote first. If they vote, they are entitled to criticize. If they didn't vote, it means they haven't taken responsibility, so let them not debate – said President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with residents of Górowski County.

19:03

Duda:

Don't Believe Those Claiming Poland's International Standing Has Weakened

- Don't believe all those who say that Poland's position on the international stage has weakened. If Poland's position on the international stage had weakened, we wouldn't have received 190 votes as a candidate for the UN Security Council. We wouldn't have received them because they wouldn't have voted for us - said President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with residents of the Góra district.

- I am extremely pleased that our colleague, our friend Janusz Wojciechowski, has been unanimously accepted by the committee in the European Parliament as a candidate for Commissioner for Agriculture - the president added.

Second Debate, Yet Kaczyński and Morawiecki Remain Absent. Schetyna and Kidawa-Błońska Are Also Missing. We Propose a Pact for Health.

- A second debate, and Jarosław Kaczyński and Prime Minister Morawiecki are still nowhere to be seen. Grzegorz Schetyna and Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska are also absent, and yet health is paramount. What about health? We propose a pact for health - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the TVN24 debate.

19:37

Horała:

Healthcare spending in Poland increased from 73 to 102 billion PLN compared to 2014

Compared to 2014, healthcare spending in Poland has increased from 73 to 102 billion PLN. We were there, we showed that we can manage public finances and find an additional 30 billion for healthcare. The number of places in medical studies has increased from over 6,000 to almost 10,000” - said Marcin Horała of PiS during a debate on TVN24.

19:40

Leszczyna:

PiS Government Has Extended Waiting Lists for Specialists More Than Any Previous Government, Allocating Same Funds to Chemotherapy as to Propaganda TV

- The PiS government, over the last 4 years, has extended waiting lists for many specialists more than any government before, and allocates the same amount of money to chemotherapy as to propaganda television. Civic Coalition knows what needs to be done to fix healthcare. Unfortunately, this will not happen by signing a 5-point pact. We need to implement our program of European healthcare. Yesterday, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska was in Brussels to discuss how to recover 100 billion [PLN] that the PiS government unfortunately forfeited at the outset of negotiations for the new budgetary perspective - stated Izabela Leszczyna in a TVN24 debate.

19:40

Zandberg:

On Health, on Increased Spending for Public Healthcare, We Should Sign a Bipartisan Pact
I am pleased with what Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said, because on health, on increased spending for public healthcare, we should sign a bipartisan pact. These changes are not for one year, not for two. They are for 10, 15, 20 years, and only then do they have a chance to work, and that is why this agreement is needed - said Adrian Zandberg during a TVN debate.

19:43

Zandberg to Horała: When you proudly repeat about increased healthcare spending, I feel it's inappropriate

"Two words on what MP Horała said. Excuse me, Mr. MP, but really, when you proudly repeat about increased healthcare spending, I feel it's inappropriate. You deceived resident doctors, you signed an agreement with them promising a real 6%, and there is no real 6%. Your accounting tricks boil down to spending as little as possible on healthcare" - said Adrian Zandberg from Razem during a debate on TVN24.

19:46

Schetyna:

This Sunday Wasn't Really Lech Wałęsa's Best Day
- I was surprised, because firstly, it was the day after a funeral, and secondly, I've known Kornel Morawiecki for years. I was myself in Fighting Solidarity, and it was my pride and an important part of my life. He wanted to support Civic Coalition, to get involved in the election campaign. We are always open when there is such a signal from Lech Wałęsa. It has happened many times that he has supported us during various elections and important moments. This is an important fragment of our country's history. This Sunday wasn't really Lech Wałęsa's best day - said Grzegorz Schetyna on Gość Wydarzeń Polsat News.

19:46

WKK to Horała: Why Aren't You Showing How Much All Hospitals Are Indebted Today? You've Classified This Report. 13 Billion is the Latest Data. You Talk About a Balanced Budget?
The good humor of Mr. Member of Parliament Horała is touching. Mr. Member of Parliament, please go to Grudziądz. There is a hospital there, indebted by half a billion zlotys. Why aren't you showing how much all hospitals are indebted today? You've classified this report. 13 billion is the latest data. You talk about a balanced budget? It's mind-boggling - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a TVN debate.

19:46

Horała:

Poles Waiting in Lines for Operations and Procedures – a Legacy from Our Opponents, But We Are Solving It Step by Step

- Let's recall, for instance, the 350 hospital departments closed during the second term of the PO-PSL government. The fact that Poles have to wait in queues for various types of operations and procedures is precisely the legacy we inherited from our opponents. But we are solving it step by step - stated Marcin Horała in a debate on TVN24.

- If, by the will of the voters, we govern for a second term, we will similarly shorten queues for specialists - he continued.

19:47

Schetyna to Rymanowski: 'I Often Shouted "Lech Wałęsa" at Demonstrations When We Clashed with the Militia; That's Also Part of Your Life, Mr. Editor, and No One Can Take That Away From Us'
- Like everyone who was in the independence underground, I am proud of this episode in my life, because I was in Fighting Solidarity and the Independent Students' Union. I often shouted "Lech Wałęsa" at demonstrations when we clashed with the militia; that's also part of your life, Mr. Editor, and no one can take that away from us - Schetyna told Bogdan Rymanowski.

WKK:

Do Not Listen to Marshal Terlecki, Who Claims Poland's Healthcare is Among the Best in Europe

- Do not listen to Marshal Terlecki, who claims that Poland's healthcare system is one of the best in Europe. According to the aforementioned journal, it ranks 23rd out of 28 European countries. These are real problems; hospital wards are being closed, and the number of hospital beds has decreased by 2,500 under your government - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a TVN24 debate.

19:50

Horała to the Opposition on Healthcare: What You Broke Can't Be Fixed Quickly

- There is still much to be done in healthcare. What you broke can't be fixed quickly - stated Marcin Horała in a TVN24 debate.

19:54

Bosak:

You Can't Raise Wages Across the Entire Economy by Solely Stimulating Through Minimum Wage Increases. It's Populism

- The minimum wage should grow proportionally to wage increases across the economy. You cannot raise wages across the entire economy by solely stimulating it through minimum wage increases. It's clear that the government is trying to create such an impression for the public. This is something we are falsely accused of, namely populism - said Krzysztof Bosak during a TVN debate.

19:55

WKK:

Minimum Wage Must Rise to 50% of the Average

- The minimum wage must grow and must amount to 50% of the average. Besides, such projects were submitted, PiS promised this. This is a trade union postulate - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a TVN24 debate.

19:56

Schetyna on Wałęsa: Sometimes I feel sorry that he says things that are not accepted by those who judge him well and know what a part of our history he is
- I don't think it was a mistake. Lech Wałęsa is history itself, and he speaks out, comments, describes reality and history in his own style, and is writing his own account. Sometimes I feel sorry that he says things that are not accepted by those who judge him well and know what a part of our history he is - said Grzegorz Schetyna in Gość Wydarzeń Polsat News.

19:59

Zandberg:

I Won't Specify the Minimum Wage Down to the Zloty. I'm Simply Responsible. Such Decisions Must Be Made Annually, Based on the Current Year's Economic Data
Unlike the gentlemen from PiS, I will not predict what the economic situation will be in three or four years, or in seven years. I will not specify down to the zloty what the minimum wage will be then. I am simply responsible. Such decisions must be made every year, based on the current year's economic data - said Adrian Zandberg during a TVN debate.

20:02

Leszczyna:

We Support In Vitro Fertilization Funding
We support the funding of in vitro fertilization. We did this when we were in government together with the PSL – stated Izabela Leszczyna in a TVN24 debate.

20:04

Horała:

Behold, the Beautiful Coalition of Konfederacja and PO Attacking PiS

- Behold, the beautiful coalition of Konfederacja and PO in attacking PiS. I understand that Grzegorz Schetyna's appeal from the last convention, for Konfederacja to join this anti-PiS coalition, has been heard and is being implemented - stated Marcin Horała in a TVN24 debate.

20:04

Bosak to Horała: Today we won the second lawsuit against the television controlled by your colleagues. I would like to ask that we not be the ones attacked.

- An attack is something like what Telewizja Polska did. Today we won the second lawsuit against the television controlled by your colleagues. I would like to ask that we not be the ones attacked - said Krzysztof Bosak during a TVN debate.

20:07

Horała:

Konfederacja Can't Count on Such Favoritism on Any TV as They've Received on TVN in Recent Days

- It is true that Konfederacja cannot count on such favoritism on any television channel as they have received on TVN in recent days - stated Marcin Horała during a TVN24 debate.

20:13

Schetyna on the Campaign: I Remember a Match When Milan Played Liverpool and It Was 3-0 at Halftime
- I always fight for victory, you know me a little, Mr. Editor. The most important poll is the poll on October 13th. And I remember a match when Milan played Liverpool and it was 3-0 at halftime, it was a match in Istanbul, the Champions League final, and when the players came out onto the pitch after the break, you could hear singing, "We will never walk alone," sung by Liverpool fans who didn't doubt for a moment. First Gerrard scored a goal, then Šmicer, and finally Jerzy Dudek. Tomorrow we will see [who will be Jerzy Dudek] first thing in the morning, we invite you to a conference at 8:30 AM, we will fight until the last minute, we are finishing in Wałbrzych with a meeting after 11 PM, we are working until the last minute - said Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview on Gość Wydarzeń Polsat News.

20:16

WKK:

- Our successors found a green Poland, and are leaving a smoky one. From Russian coal, from smog, from burning garbage. This is the image left for the younger generation, which today most understands what is happening in the environment - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a TVN debate.

Leszczyna 'Missed the Truth' on TVN; Decision to Launch Medical Program at University of Opole Made in 2017

Jarosław Gowin, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education, has responded to statements made by Krystyna Leszczyna of Civic Platform on TVN. Gowin stated that Leszczyna 'missed the truth' regarding the decision to establish a medical program at the University of Opole. According to Gowin, this crucial decision was made in 2017 during his tenure as Minister of Science and Higher Education. He provided a link to his official Twitter account, where further details or a more comprehensive statement might be found, indicated by the provided URL: https://twitter.com/Jaroslaw_Gowin/status/1181635404321230848

Schetyna on Potential High Voter Turnout in Cities: "I Will Accept Congratulations on Behalf of Civic Coalition and Other Opposition Parties in Such a Situation"
- Sometimes unexpected things happen. Although, what will result from voter mobilization at the polls. Nobody expected the turnout in local elections in big cities to be over 65%, when it was usually around 40%, and that significantly changed the entire outcome - said Grzegorz Schetyna in Gość Wydarzeń Polsat News. Bogdan Rymanowski asked if the turnout in cities could approach 75%. - I will accept congratulations then on behalf of the Civic Coalition and other opposition parties, Mr. Editor. I can promise you that in such a situation. These are 20 minutes that will decide the lives of this and the next generation - Schetyna replied.

20:26

Zandberg:

Mr. Bosak, the climate crisis is not an ideology, it's what virtually all scientists agree on

- Mr. Bosak, the climate crisis is not an ideology, it's what virtually all scientists agree on. Human impact on the climate will mean dramatic problems for the generation of our children and our grandchildren - said Adrian Zandberg during a TVN debate.

20:28

Horała to Kajdanowicz: A Classic Leading Question. The Editor Took on the Role of an Opposition Politician, Claiming a Legal Violation Where None Occurred
  • A classic leading question. The editor here took on the role of an opposition politician, claiming a legal violation occurred when it did not. The Constitution clearly states that the procedure, including the procedure for electing judges, is regulated by law, and these judges were elected in accordance with the law in order to rectify the assault on the Constitutional Tribunal carried out by PO-PSL, who elected judges in advance – stated Marcin Horała in a TVN24 debate.

20:29

Horała:

It is PiS that Upholds the Rule of Law and Observes the Constitution in Poland
- This violation of the Constitution is not about us, it's an observation for our predecessors. It is PiS that upholds the rule of law and observes the Constitution in Poland - stated Marcin Horała during a TVN24 debate.

20:31

Zandberg to Horała: I'm sorry, Mr. MP, but you're making a fool of yourself saying you didn't raise your hand against the constitution

- I'm sorry, Mr. MP, but you're making a fool of yourself saying you didn't raise your hand against the constitution. Not publishing the ruling of the Constitutional Tribunal, which was in fact a violation of the systemic principles that we should all follow - said Adrian Zandberg during a TVN debate.

20:32

Duda to Tusk: Mr. Chairman, you probably haven't been to Poland in a long time. Please look at these people. I wish you a peaceful evening

The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, addressed Donald Tusk, the Chairman of the European People's Party and former Prime Minister of Poland, in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Duda's message, accompanied by a link to a tweet from his official account, carries a sharp political undertone.

The original post reads: "Panie przewodniczący, pan chyba dawno w Polsce nie był. Proszę popatrzeć na tych ludzi. Życzę spokojnego wieczoru." This translates to: "Mr. Chairman, you probably haven't been to Poland in a long time. Please look at these people. I wish you a peaceful evening."

The context of this statement likely refers to ongoing political events in Poland, possibly relating to recent demonstrations or public sentiment. Duda's remark suggests that Tusk, who has spent a significant part of his recent career in European institutions, might be out of touch with the current situation and the mood of the Polish population. The phrase "Proszę popatrzeć na tych ludzi" (Please look at these people) implies that observing the citizens directly would reveal a reality Tusk is not privy to.

The closing wish, "Życzę spokojnego wieczoru" (I wish you a peaceful evening), while seemingly polite, can also be interpreted as a veiled jab, especially in a politically charged environment. It could be a way of signaling that the situation is anything but peaceful for those on the opposing side of the political spectrum, or that Tusk should reflect on the current state of affairs.

The link provided by the article points to President Duda's X account, where the full tweet and potentially accompanying visuals would be visible. This type of direct communication between high-ranking politicians on social media platforms has become a common feature of modern political discourse, often used to convey messages quickly and widely.

20:33

Schetyna:

I haven't discussed with Mateusz Morawiecki what he said in 'Sowa' and how he treated Poles influenced by the Chuck Norris ad, though I've known him longer than Sławomir Neumann
- I haven't discussed with Mateusz Morawiecki what he said in 'Sowa' and how he treated Poles influenced by the Chuck Norris ad, although I've also known him for many, many years, perhaps longer than Sławomir Neumann, and I could also point out to him that he shouldn't use such words, not even in private conversations, because they simply sound bad - Grzegorz Schetyna said on Polsat News.

20:41

Schetyna on Jachira: I have a different sense of taste and word culture, but her recent activity in London is very intriguing and could give her a chance to take office.
- This is an old matter, brought up recently. She did indeed show that sketch again, and after a tough, unambiguous conversation, such things do not repeat themselves. She had to go a long way from some of her artistic presentations to running for parliament. I receive many controversial signals from both sides, and we should also open up politics to young people and those from outside politics. Controversies - agreed, I don't agree with everything, because this performance is obviously controversial, I have a different sense of taste and word culture, but her recent activity in London is very intriguing and could give her a chance to take office - said Grzegorz Schetyna on Polsat News.

20:46

Leszczyna:

There's No More Effective Way to Remove Bad Government Than to Take It Away in Democratic Elections

For the last 8 years, we invested in highways, so that now we can invest in people. Many of you over the last 4 years have told us: why are you letting what's happening in Poland continue? Why aren't you doing anything? Today I want to say. This is the moment, this is the time when we can proudly raise our heads and go to the polls. There is no more effective way to remove bad government than to take it away in democratic elections” - said Izabela Leszczyna from PO-KO during a debate on TVN24.

20:47

Schetyna:

If Kaczyński lies to Editor Gawryluk to her face, a journalist should react, because we say daily, multiple times: what has been given will not be taken away
- I was surprised that Editor Gawryluk, who observes the political scene very closely and is an expert on these matters, did not react [to Kaczyński's words], because we have been saying the opposite for months, and if President Kaczyński, looking Editor Gawryluk in the eye, obviously tells her an untruth, then a journalist should react, because we say daily, multiple times: what has been given will not be taken away. And if someone, in response to this months-long declaration, says while looking [us] in the eye that this is an attempt to take it away, they are lying, and this must be stated directly - Grzegorz Schetyna said on Polsat News.

20:48

Horała:

The 'Black Sheep' of PiS are being removed. Not, of course, based on a pseudo-documentary TVN film, but a para-fictional one. Accusations must be investigated, but this is how the debate is manipulated, because we are not talking about Neumann, or
There are no double standards. The 'black sheep' of PiS are being removed. Not, of course, based on a pseudo-documentary TVN film, but a para-fictional one. Accusations must be investigated, but this is precisely how the debate is manipulated, because we are not talking about Mr. Sławomir Neumann, who faces charges for illegally pressuring the National Health Fund and securing several million zlotys in undue payments for a private clinic. We are not talking about Mr. Stanisław Gawłowski, the Secretary General of Civic Platform, who has prosecutorial charges against him. We are not talking about all the scandals of Civic Platform. PiS is imposing a much higher standard – said Marcin Horała during a TVN debate.

20:48

Bosak:

We are the only formation not intending to convince you we will buy votes with the money you pay in taxes directly into the budget

We are an anti-system formation, conducting our election campaign with our own money. We are also the only formation not intending to convince you that we will buy votes with the money you pay in taxes directly into the budget. We are a conservative formation. We believe that the Sejm needs ideological, conservative, independent-thinking, and well-prepared individuals. Our lists feature excellent candidates” – said Krzysztof Bosak from Konfederacja during a debate on TVN24.

20:54

WKK:

For Poland, in the name of principles, you must go to these elections. I ask you, my compatriots. Do not lose faith in a better future for Poland. A vote cast for PSL will be the most valuable.

- For Poland, in the name of principles, you must go to these elections. I ask you, my compatriots. Do not lose faith in a better future for Poland. It is within our reach, it is possible, you just need to choose a sensible center. Neither the left, whether from PO or SLD, nor the right, from Konfederacja or PiS, will ensure normalcy. A vote cast for PSL will be the most valuable. Because it is a vote for a state that respects every human being, that does not peek behind curtains, but will allow for a social revolution. It is a state that will act according to the old Polish proverb. No pain, no gain [literally: Without work, there are no cakes]. We will appreciate people of hard work. Not only social policy, but appreciating all those who contribute to prosperity. I am asking for a vote for PSL, because it is the simplest way to remove bad people from power - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the TVN debate.

20:55

Zandberg:

We face a crucial choice: either continued slide towards PiS's authoritarianism and away from Europe, or a turn left towards a modern, European, secular welfare state.

- We stand at a crucial crossroads. Either Poland will continue its slide to the right, towards PiS-style authoritarianism, drifting further from Europe, or we will turn left and begin building a modern, European, secular welfare state in Poland. There's no point looking back with nostalgia, dwelling on the past, or wishing things were as they were, because they weren't good. And the left guarantees that the world where people earned 3.5 PLN per hour will not return. The left guarantees that the world where pouring kilometers of highways was more important than investing in people will not return. If what we are saying resonates with you, I have a fervent request. Because in these final days, a great deal will depend on you. Talk to your acquaintances, friends, and families. I know many of them are disappointed, especially looking at the parliamentary opposition. Tell them it's worth going, it's worth voting in the elections, voting for the left, for list number 3, because it's a chance for real change - stated Adrian Zandberg in a TVN24 debate.

20:57

Schetyna:

We Must Prepare for Difficult Times, the Economy is Ramping Up but There Are Early Signs of Recession in Germany and We Need to Find a Buffer for the Shock
- They are generously handing out money, further indebting the country, by utilizing the good economic climate and the funds we left in the 2016 budget. Is draining local governments and seizing mandatory pension funds (OFE) a way to balance the budget? This is a policy where everything is shifted onto local governments, and they reach into citizens' pockets by taking the OFE. They took from local governments by lowering the PIT rate; Zalewska took it when local governments had to salvage the situation in schools. This is classic PiS policy: first make a promise, then retract it, and then do things that are capable of causing harm. Private investments are at their lowest in 20 years. We must prepare for difficult times; the economy is revving up, but there are early signs of recession in Germany, and we need to find a buffer for this impact. We must prepare for difficult times because lean times follow fat times. How can they continue to give away like this? - said Grzegorz Schetyna in the Gość Wydarzeń program on Polsat News.

Why Hold a Session of the Old Parliament After Elections? I Was Curious If This Question Would Be Asked to Chairman Kaczyński
- It cannot be that we promise everything to win elections. Why hold a session of the old parliament after elections? I was curious if this question would be asked to Chairman Kaczyński - said Grzegorz Schetyna in Gość Wydarzeń Polsat News.

If You Vote for Kukiz's Candidates, It Means You Will Be With PiS After the Elections. I Will Remind Mr. Czarzasty of Ms. Magdalena Ogórek's Story
- This worried me the most, because it would mean Kukiz is going with PiS. I want to tell everyone that if you vote for Kukiz's candidates, it means you will be with PiS after the elections. I will remind Mr. Czarzasty of Ms. Magdalena Ogórek's story, and I would warn all those whom he wants to bring into the Sejm against such a path - said Grzegorz Schetyna in Gość Wydarzeń Polsat News.

Horała on TVN: The Biggest Opposition Party

- We see a grand anti-PiS coalition in action today. It includes Civic Platform, responsible for tens of billions in state budget losses; the Polish People's Party (PSL), responsible for raising the retirement age by 12 years for rural women; the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) under the rainbow flag, with a program for LGBT cards in schools and same-sex marriages. It includes Confederation with friends from Sputnik, and of course, the biggest opposition party, which is TVN. They had 5 times more airtime than I did and said 5 times more words. All these words are unimportant. One question needs to be answered. Are you living better than 4 years ago? And Poles from big cities, small towns, and villages with whom we meet during this campaign say: we are living better. We received 500+, the 13th pension. We have lower taxes, but above all, we are proud of Poland. We are not resting on our laurels. A huge opportunity lies before us. Poland can be a Western country, at a Western level of prosperity. At the same time, preserving what is most important to us, our identity and tradition, the Polish family. That is why on October 13th, let's vote for PiS – stated Marcin Horała in a TVN24 debate.

PMM:

Congratulations to Horala on a Good Performance Among Sole Opponents. The October 13th Elections Come Down to One Thing: PiS or Anti-PiS

Mateusz Morawiecki, the Prime Minister of Poland, has congratulated Ryszard Horala on his debate performance, stating that Horala acquitted himself well despite being surrounded by opponents. Morawiecki's statement, made via Twitter, suggests that the upcoming October 13th parliamentary elections will be a stark choice between the ruling Law and Justice party (PiS) and those who oppose it.

The Prime Minister's post, shared from his official Twitter account (https://twitter.com/morawieckim/status/1181652972666785794?s=12), highlights the perceived polarization of the political landscape in Poland.

Horala, a prominent figure within PiS, has been a vocal participant in pre-election debates. Morawiecki's comment implies that Horala effectively represented the party's agenda and values, even when facing criticism or differing viewpoints from other candidates.

The framing of the election as a binary choice between "PiS or anti-PiS" is a common strategy in political campaigning, aiming to simplify complex issues and mobilize voters around a clear narrative. It suggests that any party or individual not aligned with PiS is, by definition, opposed to it, thus consolidating support for the ruling party by presenting it as the sole viable option for those who agree with its platform.

This statement from the Prime Minister underscores PiS's campaign message, which often focuses on national identity, traditional values, and a conservative vision for Poland, contrasting these with what the party portrays as liberal or foreign influences that threaten the country's sovereignty and cultural heritage.
