Saturday marks the second day of the funeral ceremonies for the late Marshal Senior Kornel Morawiecki. At 11:50, the coffin will be brought into the Field Cathedral of the Polish Army. At 12:00, a requiem mass will be held, and at 14:40, the funeral ceremony will take place at the cemetery.

At 10:00 in Katowice, the Left's election convention will be held, featuring former President Aleksander Kwaśniewski. The agenda includes speeches by Maciej Konieczny, the Left's list leader in Katowice, at 10:05; Anna-Maria Żukowska, the Left's spokesperson and candidate number 2 on the Warsaw list, at 10:10; Gabriela Morawska-Stanecka, the Left and opposition candidate for the Senate in Tychy, at 10:15; Włodzimierz Czarzasty, the leader of SLD, at 10:20; Adrian Zandberg, the leader of the Left Together, at 10:35; Robert Biedroń, the leader of Spring, at 10:45; and former President Aleksander Kwaśniewski at 11:00.

At 10:00 in Wrocław, a press conference will be held with the participation of Grzegorz Schetyna, the chairman of Civic Platform. At 19:30 in Bielsko-Biała, an election convention will take place with the participation of Jarosław Kaczyński, the leader of PiS.

The Minister of Health tells us:

* Marek Balicki is introducing a major reform of psychiatry.

* Co-payments are unacceptable.

* There will be day care homes for seniors as respite for families.

* The decline in smoking has been halted by e-cigarettes; this is a tragedy.

„We are starting the final week of the election campaign in Wrocław. We will also be in Lower Silesia on Friday to conclude the entire campaign” - said PO chairman Grzegorz Schetyna in the capital of Lower Silesia.

„My friendship with Kornel Morawiecki in the 1980s was an element of our shared path to independence, to a free Poland. We met for the first time in 1983. I remember it like it was yesterday, in a clandestine location. I had the pleasure of working with him, being in conspiracy with him, co-creating the structures of Fighting Solidarity. I will always remember that. He is an important figure in Polish history. We wouldn't be here today, in a free Wrocław, in a free Poland, without his commitment, his great vision that he pursued, but also his modesty and human decency” - said Civic Platform (PO) leader Grzegorz Schetyna in Wrocław.

- After the Round Table, the Polish left gave the Polish state its Constitution, and led Poland into NATO and the EU. This is not spoken of. It is not spoken of that there were two sides sitting at the Round Table. It is not spoken of that the Polish left represents consensus. Mr. President Jarosław Kaczyński, Poland did not emerge four years ago. Poland, Mr. President, did not emerge four years ago. You will not change history. You will not distort history. You will not diminish the role of the Polish left. You will not succeed. If you look to the past, that post-war past, then do not imitate the Polish People's Republic in just one thing. Namely, in the politicization of the state, because that is not a good idea - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at the Left Congress in Katowice.

- Tomasz Sakiewicz believes that Jarosław Kaczyński will one day receive a Nobel Prize. The only question is: from whom? Wałęsa? To the people who rebuilt our country, who liberated our country? We, as the Polish left, the only formation currently operating in the Polish political arena, thank you for your work, our parents, our grandparents, for everything you did until 1990, and we thank you for the transformation you gave us. We remember you. We will not publish you, we will not take away acquired rights. We will present you as an example - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at the Left Congress in Katowice.

- I wanted to make a commitment here. Poland's left will establish a Ministry of Senior Policy. It will coordinate work for the older generation. I will prepare Poland for the silver left, because it is coming - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at the Left convention in Katowice.

„A modern welfare state is for everyone, and that means it must reach everywhere, including smaller towns. People have the right to a good life not only in Warsaw, but also in Tczew. People have the right to a good life not only in big cities, but also in Barlinek, Mrągowo. These are towns where the PiS government has closed hospital wards in recent days” – said Adrian Zandberg from Razem at the Lewica electoral convention in Katowice.

- We will introduce a guaranteed pension, the lowest at PLN 1600. The lowest because, firstly, we will raise these lowest pensions, and secondly, we will equalize pensions for women and men. This is very important. Currently, women's pensions are 30% lower than men's pensions. Why is this the case? This needs to change - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at the Lewica convention in Katowice.

- Elections, these elections. On October 13th, the left will return to the Sejm. Because there is a simple rule. If it is true that PiS governs because the left is not in the Sejm, then, continuing this thought, it must be said clearly: PiS will cease to govern the moment the left is in the Sejm - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at the Left convention in Katowice.

- Full mobilization. Every pair of hands. All energy. Every bit of your dream must be utilized. We must achieve. So that no one and nothing in our country for change is wasted. We will all use every second, every minute, every hour, every day for The Left to return to the Sejm - said Robert Biedroń during a press conference of The Left in Katowice.

- I am also addressing my voters. There were very, very many of you. I won in 1995, and in 2000 in the first round. I know that things have turned out differently and presidential elections are not parliamentary elections, but to those of my voters who trusted me twice, who gave me the mandate to hold the most dignified office in Poland, I say: vote, return to the left. - Education is not just about the deserved, necessary higher salaries for teachers. It also involves programmatic changes. This is to ensure that in Poland, we cultivate good IT specialists, knowledgeable in modern technologies, rather than another generation of "Cursed Soldiers". - I have a strong conviction that for the last 15 years, precisely since 2005, since the Polish political scene has been dominated by PiS and PO. Through this duopoly, locked in a truly extraordinary, wrestling grip, we have been experiencing something that can be called political smog. We have a problem breathing. We breathe polluted political air. We breathe the language of hate, the polarization of Polish society. Divisions that run through families, through friends. Today, we must say this: Only a leftist choice, betting on this third force, can save us from the catastrophic political smog - said Aleksander Kwaśniewski during a Leftist press conference in Katowice.

- I had to bid farewell to an extraordinary man in every sense of the word. Extraordinary due to his life story, but also extraordinary due to his purely personal qualities. A man who combined radicalism, an exceptionally sharp and far-reaching radicalism, with gentleness, a readiness to cooperate with everyone, and a great capacity for forgiveness. If we look at Kornel Morawiecki's life from the perspective of Polish history, we can say that he restored a very important and strong tradition of uprisings in Poland, one that had been absent for many decades. This tradition stretches at least from the Bar Confederation, through the national uprisings, through the events of World War I, the Legions, the World War II underground resistance, through all that the cursed soldiers did, and only later did they emerge. He was the one who referred to this tradition. His life was an act of defiance, a defiance against enslavement, against all that was difficult for a Polish patriot to reconcile with. And there were many who dreamed of independence. But only he was able to turn that dream into action, and truly extraordinary action. He was able to create an underground independence organization that, by referring to the tradition of Solidarity, being – in a broader sense of the word – a part of Solidarity, simultaneously set itself the most far-reaching goals, goals related precisely to regaining independence. What's more, the breadth of thought, and above all the extraordinary courage of thought and action of Kornel Morawiecki led this organization to undertake something that seemed completely impossible and unreal, i.e., a struggle on a scale wider than just Poland. On an international scale, the entire communist bloc - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the funeral mass of the late Kornel Morawiecki.

“One can smile, in a certain sense, that the Republic, understood as its nation, as society, has paid tribute to Kornel Morawiecki. Because when he first entered the Polish Sejm, the Sejm of the 8th term, the posthumous remnants of the communist party were not elected to that Sejm. People rejected them. He did not have to sit with them on the parliamentary bench” - said President Andrzej Duda during the funeral ceremony for Kornel Morawiecki.

„Until the very end, until his last moment, at a time when he was already gravely, mortally ill, he was ready for service the entire time. This is precisely why there is this grand, ceremonial funeral, attended by so many people. Esteemed Senior Marshal, you have served the Republic well, and your service is appreciated. On behalf of the Republic, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for it” – said President Andrzej Duda during the funeral ceremony of Kornel Morawiecki.

- He was not a member of PiS, but his political group supported us many times in difficult moments with their votes. And the Marshal himself supported us with his speeches, speeches that no one could underestimate. Speeches that combined this moral and political radicalism with the kindness and tolerance I have also mentioned here. This is a rare, perhaps even very rare, combination. This is what made Marshal Kornel Morawiecki not only an extraordinary, deserving man, but also a great man. One of the fathers of Polish independence. The true one, which we defend today, which – one might say – we are realizing, and which we will defend. No longer with him, but always remembering him and always remembering his life, the lesson that can be drawn from this life. The lesson concerning courage, decisiveness, in thought and deed, but also tolerance and love towards others. May he rest in peace. - Is our love for you stronger than death? Yes. You believed so, and I believe so. Your deeds, your goodness, all that you have left us in both the broader and narrower sense, is stronger than death. The seed you sowed has yielded a hundredfold harvest. You drew this seed from our Christian faith, our European culture, traditions, and knowledge - said Mateusz Morawiecki during the funeral ceremonies for Kornel Morawiecki.

- Father believed that man and communities, that Poles, could strive for greatness. A famous leader used to say that the very pursuit of great goals is an expression of the greatest courage. Father always kept such goals in mind - the Prime Minister continued.

- I thank God that I had, that I have such a father. But you have not entirely passed away. As I said, great deeds, great works. Great because they concern every smallest person, bring them good, and can endure beyond time - he added.

- We cry for you, my beloved. The larches and lindens you planted cry for you, the orchards you fenced cry, the bees you fed cry, the books you read cry. We cry. But in these tears, as you wished, we carry Poland forward. Like a sail, like flames. We carry it towards the future. Towards new horizons, new epochs, new challenges. A Poland free and pure as a tear. A Poland right and just. For our benefit and for future generations. For God's glory - Mateusz Morawiecki concluded.

„We are in a strong position because four years ago we promised to implement many new initiatives in our country, that we would change the course of events that had persisted, with short breaks, for 25 years. We have done what we promised. We announced many other moves during the campaign, and they have also been executed. We have gained something that is invaluable in politics: credibility” - said PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński in Bielsko-Biała.

- One must know how to govern. Governing is not a game. Governing is not kicking a ball around, it's not meeting over fine wine and good cigars, which are specially imported, as we could see on tapes from distant countries, but it is very hard work - said Jarosław Kaczyński during the PiS convention in Bielsko-Biała.

- We support entrepreneurs in many different ways and will continue to do so. Of course, we know that our economy must be an economy based on private ownership. But what remains state-owned will remain state-owned and will serve large economic undertakings, which Polish capital cannot yet afford at this moment - said Jarosław Kaczyński during the PiS convention in Bielsko-Biała.
