- It was stated that President Trump will visit Poland as soon as possible, whenever it is feasible. - I am surprised by this information. It naturally requires verification. I am all the more surprised because Marian Banaś is a man with a remarkable biography during the communist era, and after 1989 he has always been a state official, known for his very decisive actions. His recent achievements in the fight against the VAT mafia are undeniable - stated Jarosław Gowin in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Piasecki's Interview".

- If substantial objections had been raised by the security services regarding the credibility of Marian Banaś's [asset] declarations, I am convinced that even considering himself innocent and striving to clear his good name in court, he would have resigned - stated Jarosław Gowin in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation."

- We are proceeding from the assumption that no one is guilty until their guilt is proven. For now, we have a situation where one television station broadcast a report that suggests some improper connections or improper actions by the head of NIK. Mr. Banaś denies this, announces a lawsuit, and at the same time is taking unpaid leave. A control procedure by the Central Anticorruption Bureau is underway. The situation may not be 100% clear. We are waiting for clarifications, for concrete facts. At this moment, nothing can be blamed on the head of NIK's conduct, as he seems to be doing everything to ensure the matter is clarified. There will be no witch hunt from our side - said Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Stanisław Janecki on Polskie Radio 24.

- I have trust in the services, regardless of whether Mariusz Kamiński is at the head of the services or whether people... I'm talking about my position. I had that trust even when General Bondaryk, for example, headed the ABW, because by definition I trust democratic state institutions – stated Jarosław Gowin in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- Minister Suski has the right to his opinions, I have the right to mine – the Deputy Prime Minister added.

- Voices are also rising that perhaps there's too much talk about her, that, using political slang, the candidate herself is being 'pumped up'. This is the question. To what extent can one remain silent, tolerate various things based on a cold, political calculation - said Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Stanisław Janecki on Polish Radio 24.

„There are no treaty-based grounds [to link the EU budget to the rule of law]. These are actions of a political nature. We have no rule of law problems in Poland. The latest opinion of the ECJ Advocate General indicates this, but it is an attempt to create tools of a political nature. The assessment of whether someone is compliant with the rule of law or not would be left at the EU level to politicians who have their own interests” - said government spokesperson, Minister Piotr Müller, on Radio Jedynka.

„What Robert Biedroń and some other Polish politicians in the European Parliament are saying, who are de facto trying to weaken the candidacy of the Polish commissioner in some way - is surprising to me,” said government spokesperson and minister Piotr Müller on Jedynka radio.

President Banaś probably did nothing unlawful regarding the selection or non-selection of presidents. Perhaps it would have been more skillful [if he had waited], especially since the thing he did, taking unpaid leave… [It would have been more skillful] if he hadn't changed his deputies at this moment. We realize the situation is quite difficult. I haven't spoken to the President; I don't know why he did it. In any case, we know his statement. For now, I understand we are waiting for the matter to be clarified, and here, as in no other case, it will not be a matter swept under the rug in any way - stated Jadwiga Emilewicz in a conversation with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

• Currently, as it stands. The Sejm will ultimately make the decision. We will adopt the budget act at the turn of September/October. I think we have time to discuss it further - stated Jadwiga Emilewicz in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. - Let us have the chance to discuss it further in the Sejm. Two days ago, the Prime Minister also said that the Sejm would decide on this - she continued. - The budget act is most often adopted at the turn of November and December or in December - she added.

• We, Premier Gowin and I, will certainly hold talks with a major coalition partner, convincing them, presenting the arguments we have been presenting all along. Abolishing the 30-times limit in 15-20 years could be dangerous for ZUS, as paying due pension benefits may be difficult from such a high amount. Secondly, 380,000 taxpayers benefit from the 30-times limit today. 29% public sector, 71% private sector. The 29% from the public sector will certainly pay, and we will see that revenue impact on the budget, but I assume the 71% will look for other forms of taxation, self-employment, various others, and we will not see that assumed revenue impact. And the third point, we are consistently committed to attracting talent, to showing young engineers and IT specialists that it is worthwhile to stay in Poland today and not leave, and this is an important element - emphasized Emilewicz.

• We realize today that those earning the most in Poland have the lowest labor burden compared to those earning the least. So the discussion about the 30-times limit has its roots here somewhere. I think we will convince the Sejm on this matter, that we find a solution - she concluded.

“It is difficult for me to say [whether the services acted professionally in the Banas case]. I am not dealing with it, I am not analyzing it. The matter is closed - according to our standards. The President is taking leave until clarification. Explanatory procedures are ongoing” - said Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Gliński in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

"I don't know if Mr. Marian Banaś is on first-name terms [with anyone]. He might have met someone somewhere. We cannot talk in this way. These are tabloid arguments. Krzysztof Kwiatkowski had prosecutorial charges" - said Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Gliński in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

- Healthcare is a matter of Polish national interest, and you certainly have an ally in me in this way of thinking. Professor, we have known each other for many years, and I know that we share a common perspective on healthcare - said Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting with medical experts and the management of the Silesian Centre for Heart Diseases.

- In effect, the SLD has absorbed Wiosna and Razem. The Start is happening under the SLD banner. Also, the money and all resources will be controlled by the SLD. Therefore, Włodzimierz Czarzasty is the biggest winner of this situation and will be the beneficiary of these elections - stated Jan Śpiewak in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- It is indeed shocking that in Poland, the world's most expensive sewage treatment plant can be built, ruined, and then it can be pretended that no one is responsible. No, that's not acceptable. In a civilized democratic state, there would be resignations, audits. I understand that Rafał Trzaskowski is not personally responsible for this, especially since it was Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz's investment. But that doesn't change the fact that the responsible individuals in this company should be dismissed, and a thorough debate should take place about what happened and what happened to that money. And that, I understand, is a task for the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) – stated Jan Śpiewak in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

"State authorities are silent, waiting for this to blow over. State authorities are not taking any action. We do not hear of the prosecutor's office taking action ex officio, or the Central Anticorruption Bureau expanding its investigation or accelerating its examination of Mr. Banaś's financial statements. We are forced to step in for the state authorities and today file a complaint with the prosecutor's office regarding the possibility of a crime related to the glaringly low rental price for three properties by the current President of the Supreme Audit Office. If a normal Pole had valued the rental of their properties so drastically low, they would have already faced 10 audits, tax surcharges, and finally, criminal tax proceedings. We hear of no such thing happening to Marian Banaś" - said Mariusz Witczak from Civic Platform at a press conference in the Sejm.

„We cannot allow someone who hasn't clarified their ties to the criminal world, who hasn't explained what business they conducted with a gangster from Krakow, to decide on the leadership of NIK. If, according to PiS politicians, Mr. Banaś should be removed from public duties, if even PiS admits this, then this removal primarily concerns key personnel decisions such as dismissing the NIK vice-presidents and appointing a new vice-president” – stated PO spokesperson Jan Grabiec at a press conference in the Sejm.

„At all our meetings since 2015, we have conveyed how important correlation and good cooperation are between the government administration and local authorities, how important the proactiveness of local officials, regional authorities, and individual cities is, how much good coordination is needed, and the need for European funds for infrastructure investments” – said PO (Civic Platform) leader Grzegorz Schetyna in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. 

- Instead of a substantive debate about our voivodeship, instead of talks about how to solve the most important problems, we are dealing solely with PR stunts. The Prime Minister comes, waves to the people, and flees. He is afraid of an open conversation about Silesia because he is afraid to answer the questions that are posed daily by the residents of our voivodeship. We are showing that there is no special program for Silesia. No idea how the voivodeship is to develop in the future. What's more, we are dealing with things that are scandalous. Coal imports are growing on an unprecedented scale, while extraction in Silesian mines is declining. Waiting lists for doctors are growing, and healthcare funding is decreasing. Problems in education, just look at the schools where young people have to study until late in the evening. Raging inflation is most evident in rising energy prices. For the Silesian metropolitan cities alone, energy prices planned for next year are higher by about 60%. There are no answers to these questions from Prime Minister Morawiecki, which is why I, as someone competing with Mateusz Morawiecki, a candidate for MP in the Katowice district, decided to issue him a challenge in the form of a video, a spot where I encourage Prime Minister Morawiecki not to fear standing for a debate, answering difficult questions, [and to understand] that he is not from here and therefore will not be well received. We in Silesia are very hospitable, even if someone is from outside, they can count on us having a good, substantive discussion. I hope, and have been saying this for several years, that Donald Tusk would be the best candidate in these elections. For now, he is still the President of the European Council. We never expected such declarations to be made sooner than after the parliamentary elections in Poland, stated Sławomir Neumann in an interview with Jacek Gądek on Gazeta.pl. Donald Tusk can also help us particularly in European relations. These five years of his activity in Europe today can be an incredible asset for Poland in restoring Poland's position in Europe, continued the head of the Civic Platform club.

- I will ask and appeal for Mrs. Klaudia to change her language a bit. I wouldn't hold Klaudia Jachira up today as some model of bad manners or behavior in politics, because over the last four years we have been saturated with bad behavior and insults from the government - stated Sławomir Neumann in an interview with Jacek Gądek on Gazeta.pl.

- We have to be different. We are running in these elections, and it would be good for Klaudia to know this, to restore normality in Poland. To be different from what we have today - added the PO politician.

This ZUS [Social Insurance Institution] and these declarations that Prime Minister Morawiecki is now making are very dangerous for this type of business [creative industry], because here people most often work on contract for specific work, and arbitrarily setting what salaries should be, dismantles entire projects. - I demand of all candidates on our lists what I speak of: respect for other people, civilized behavior, and avoiding actions that may shock public opinion. - The wave of hate, first online, then in the Sejm, and now at meetings, is flooding Poland and destroying our national community, breaking down national unity. This is the greatest threat to state security and interpersonal relations. We are divided, and unfortunately, this has been fueled for many years by the two largest political groupings, behaving like pyromaniacs. These two largest groupings behave like pyromaniacs. They set fires, then shout that it's burning, but they have no intention of putting it out. What is needed here is genuine goodwill to end the Polish-Polish war, this hate speech that is pouring out from all sides. As the PSL Electoral Committee, and more broadly, as Koalicja Polska, we expect an end to hate speech by electoral committees – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a briefing in the Sejm.

- Ms. Jachira has become a symbol of this, unfortunately, once again causing this hate to pour out in unexpected quantities. It will not be normal, not only for the campaign, but for normal interpersonal relations, if we do not stop this wave of hate. Of course, the government television also contributes its bit to this, and here President Kaczyński also has influence to stop what is happening in the public sphere. Either we will talk to each other normally, debate, even sharply – it's not about the debate being young or shallow. It can be sharp, but it must be within the bounds of decency. I would like these last weeks of the campaign, performed by all electoral committees, to simply be normal and rational. It is impossible to build a strong society if that society is so divided. We also expect Grzegorz Schetyna's decision to withdraw support for Ms. Jachira, because this is harmful to public life as a whole – added the PSL leader.

- The mines that are currently operating will be closed when their reserves are depleted, unless we create clean energy sooner. Perhaps this can be done more quickly. Beyond that, Silesia must change. People working in mining must find jobs and new roles for themselves precisely in the generation of new energy, new environmentally friendly energy sources - said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska during a press conference in Toruń. 

“Mr. Chairman Marian Banaś has a multi-decade career of service to the state. The doubts that have recently arisen must be clarified. Appropriate state institutions are conducting these clarifying actions. There is no reason today to discuss the resignation of Mr. Chairman Banaś,” stated Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin at a press conference in the Sejm.

„The predecessor of President Banaś faces prosecutorial charges. Despite this, I never called for President Kwiatkowski's resignation, because I believed he was a person deserving of being able to clear his good name. I can repeat the same about President Banaś. To date, there are neither any charges nor any evidence that he has violated the law” – said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin at a press conference in the Sejm.

- I think that for the sea of hate and animosity that has flowed from the pulpits in recent weeks, it won't be politicians holding their bishops accountable, but those faithful men and women who were deeply outraged by it. It won't be us who decide, but those who attend those services, what consequences will be faced for inciting hatred against fellow humans, contrary to Christian love - said Barbara Nowacka during a panel titled 'Women on Politics Three Weeks Before the Election' at EFNI in Sopot.

- And we will definitely turn off the tap for Rydzyk - added Katarzyna Lubnauer.

The telephone poll was conducted on September 25-26 on a nationwide representative sample of Poles aged 18 and over. The sample size was 1005 people. The possible margin of error is 3 percentage points.

- Indeed, credibility is the most important thing in politics. Absolutely fundamental. Without credibility, there is no democracy. Because if a vote is to mean anything, such a situation only occurs when electoral promises are kept. If they are not kept, if various things are said during an election campaign that are not subsequently done, then that vote is essentially a fiction, merely the fulfillment of a full procedure that truly has no meaning. Well, what we have – I believe – changed in Polish public life is that this vote has had meaning. Please look behind me, at this board. We have fulfilled not only what we announced during the [parliamentary] election campaign, but also what we announced during subsequent campaigns, local government, European, and also during the term of office. Simply put, we have done more than was announced. One could say that our word means something. Thus, the act of supporting PiS in 2015 had real significance. It was an act of democracy, of true democracy - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention in Płock.

- Every citizen has the right to information, to honest information, not to sick commentary. Public media are meant to be a guarantor that the information contained within is true, that something really happened in one form or another. We do not have such media. We have media where there is only commentary, and what's more, false commentary. The media must be completely changed, they must function differently, because we must reclaim them for citizens - said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska during the panel titled 'Women on Politics Three Weeks Before the Elections' at EFNI in Sopot.

- We know that Ms. Gronkiewicz-Waltz participated in rallies against the construction of Czajka. When she was a candidate for the mayor of Warsaw. That is, she traveled to that part of Warsaw where this construction was met with opposition and there she said, absolutely not. that it would not be built. Then, when she became [Warsaw's] mayor, of course, this construction was carried out for enormous sums of money, PLN 4 billion. Many warned that this was not the best solution - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention in Płock.

- We want to do something that will be the beginning of a path towards a situation which – I believe – will be a desirable, appropriate situation for every Pole. Or perhaps for almost every Pole. We want to create a Polish version of the welfare state. A situation in which Poles will live no worse than our western neighbors and at the same time will be able to have an adequate level of comfort ensured in various areas of life. Because it's not just about what's in your pocket, although that is very important and certainly decisive for the coming years. It's also about various other areas of life, starting with transport and ending with culture – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention in Płock.

- I want to assure you once again, because there is a propaganda that tries to introduce uncertainty among retirees. Next year, there will be a 13th pension. I want to strongly emphasize this. It exists and it will continue to exist. But in the following year, and also permanently, there will be a 14th pension as well - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention in Płock.

- Part of our tradition is also family tradition. And I'm speaking about this in a dual sense. Firstly, it's about the traditions of individual families; each has its own tradition, and the vast majority are good traditions. But also about the traditions of the simple, normal Polish family. One where there aren't two dads, two moms. But it's normal. Of course, sometimes it happens that there are children and only a mother, or much less often, only a father. But we simply want to defend this normal Polish family. That is our goal. And we want to protect children. Children from demoralization, from significantly premature sexualization. From all that is proposed to us by those who simply want to destroy the present society, the society that created the foundations of Polish civilization, but also European and all of Euro-American civilization. They even say it directly in France, for example. We are not here by accident. We are here to destroy you. We cannot allow ourselves to be destroyed, to destroy the Polish family - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention in Płock.

"Is there something wrong if a judge, who is also a deputy minister of justice, suggests or proposes for consideration to the head of the KRS the employment of some judge in an administrative position, in order to guarantee better cooperation within the Ministry of Justice? I see nothing wrong with that. The KRS cooperates [with the Ministry of Justice], this is that cooperation. It is not as if there is a Great Wall of China between the Ministry of Justice and the KRS" - said Minister Zbigniew Ziobro on Polish Radio 24, referring to RMF FM's information regarding the employment of Tomasz Szmydt. 

“Please note that in these revealed materials [from the hater group], there is no one from the political circle, people I have worked with for years, who are close to me in the Ministry of Justice. Minister Jaki is not there, nor Warchoł, Romanowski, Woś, Wójcik, and many others. There are no people employed in the political cabinet, no people employed in the press office,” Minister Zbigniew Ziobro stated on Polish Radio 24.

- We can win these elections, but remember, ladies and gentlemen, that elections are not won by polls. Polls are good, but elections are won not through polls, but at the ballot box. And they are won at the ballot box when many citizens go to the ballot box. The more citizens who go to the ballot box, the greater our chances are – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention in Płock.

I believe this is a very serious matter [concerning the NIK president]. It shows that everything PiS has said for these four years must be completely rejected. They couldn't guard one of the most important offices in the state – said Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

- I think it will be a very difficult choice here, because I consider both of them to be very good candidates who have a chance to win the election against President Andrzej Duda - said Tomasz Siemoniak in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program 'Gość Wydarzeń' on Polsat News.

- I believe one of this pair, Donald Tusk or Kidawa-Błońska, will be president - Siemoniak added.

– Poles will hold us accountable for what we have done over the past four years, and at the same time, they will hold Civic Platform and the Polish People's Party accountable for their eight years.
