For Poland to Develop and Be a Truly Democratic State, We Must Complete Media Pluralization
– We still have a media system that prevents what should happen after such a [VAT] scandal from happening, that it gets blocked. So, here’s another condition I must mention. For Poland to develop, for it to be a truly democratic state, we must complete the process of media pluralization. Because what I spoke of is just one example. Granted, a heavyweight one, but still just one. However, there are not tens, not hundreds, but thousands and tens of thousands of such examples of blocking information that is important for Poles, for Poland, and conversely, spreading falsehoods. And these occur on various scales. From a small district region to the entire country. And this must end. Of course, not through censorship, but through the development of good media that will adhere to one principle: telling the truth – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention in Bydgoszcz.
