Dworczyk:

If PiS Wins the Election, Then a 13th Pension is Certain in 2020

- I can declare that if PiS wins the election, then a 13th pension will definitely be in place in 2020 - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

- Has the editor seen the 13th pension written into the 2019 budget? Because a larger part of the funds for pensions comes from the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (FUS), and the funds are secured there. However, a portion of the funds is in the budget, and this money is allocated within individual ministries. Similar to this year, there will be no major problem in transferring these funds through internal reallocations between ministries - continued the Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

Asked why there is no law regarding the 13th pension, the PiS politician replied: - We don't know who will be governing Poland after October 13th. - We don't want to put our potential political opponents, who might win, in a difficult position - he emphasized.

08:15

Dworczyk on Tax-Free Pensions: PSL May Have Programmatic Ideas, But is Completely Unreliable

- The PSL, in what it says, may of course have its programmatic ideas [Tax-Free Pension], but it is completely unreliable. We proposed lowering the retirement age - we implemented it. The 13th Pension - we implemented that, and in 2021 there will be a 14th pension. Admittedly, not for everyone, but for many pensioners who have the lowest benefits - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

08:31

Bielan on PiS Program Authorship: "Governing Council Led by Gliński, Autonomy by ZP Leaders, Primarily Kaczyński"

The Governing Council was under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Gliński, but of course, the leaders of the United Right, including primarily Jarosław Kaczyński, authorized this text – stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet, when asked who wrote the PiS program.

Jarosław Kaczyński is the leader of our camp, he is a very charismatic figure, and it is obvious that many of his thoughts are developed in this program, but the text was edited by a team led by Deputy Prime Minister Gliński – he added.

08:35

Terlecki on the Sejm Session Break: I Received Dozens of Requests and Excuses About MPs' Absence

- Now, in the final stretch, MPs are getting nervous. Everyone has events in their constituencies. I received dozens of requests and excuses about not attending this or that part of the session, and unfortunately, also for votes, because they have extremely important events at home and must be there. Therefore, we decided there's no reason to push this through now during the campaign - said Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with Paweł Lisicki on "Salon polityczny" on Radio Trójka.

08:36

Bielan:

We Had a Program We Ran On in the 2015 Elections; Naturally, We Wanted to Update It
- We had a program we ran on in the 2015 elections, and by necessity, we wanted to update that program for 2019, because circumstances change, the Polish economy changes, the global economy changes, external circumstances change, so the program had to be current - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. - What has now appeared on our websites is the most current version of this program, and this program will also be modified in the future - he continued.

08:43

Bielan on Constitutional Change: 'We'd Need 307 Votes Alone, Which Will Be Very Difficult, or Find Allies. We Will Persuade Parties That Make It into the Future Parliament.'

- We want to change the Constitution. Jarosław Kaczyński announced this yesterday. Because all these changes concerning immunities, for politicians as well as judges and prosecutors, require a change to the Constitution. We don't have that majority - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

When pointed out that changing the Constitution requires 307 MPs, the PiS MEP replied: - We would need to have 307 votes on our own, which will be very difficult to achieve, or find allies for changing the Constitution. We will persuade parties that make it into the future parliament to change this.

08:47

Bielan on the Journalism Self-Governing Body: The Program Clearly States We Will Do Nothing That Reduces the Openness of This Profession or Hinders Access to It
- Just as is the case with other professions of public trust, lawyers, doctors, such self-governing bodies function and work exceptionally well. Many circles have addressed this topic over the last 30 years, the lack of a journalism self-governing body. If we work on legislation regarding this matter, we will certainly consult with all circles. Please be assured. Furthermore, the program clearly states that we will do nothing that reduces the openness of this profession or hinders access to it - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

08:52

Terlecki on Proposed Changes for Journalists: The Goal is to Civilize the Growing Complexity of Social Media, Portals Which Often Allow Themselves Exceptionally Unpleasant Things
- We want to propose such a concept, discuss it with the journalistic community, of course, and consider whether it wouldn't be possible to introduce some rules that everyone would agree on. Or almost everyone. The aim is to avoid situations where a journalist's abilities are abused for slander - said Ryszard Terlecki in a conversation with Paweł Lisicki in the "Political Salon" on Polskie Radio Trójka. - Our goal is not to limit access to the journalism profession or its mission, but to try to civilize this growing complexity which is social media, portals, that often allow themselves exceptionally unpleasant, disagreeable things - Terlecki added.

08:52

Bielan:

If we look at the last 4 years and compare freedom of speech and media to the situation under our predecessors, I think media freedom in Poland is flourishing

- An absurd accusation [that the creation of a journalistic self-government is about silencing or eliminating inconvenient journalists]. If we look at the last 4 years and compare freedom of speech and media to the situation under our predecessors, I think media freedom in Poland is flourishing – stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- If we compare how critical the media are of the government, which is their role, to the situation in 2007-2015, when the vast majority of media were rooting for the prime minister, for the rulers... We remember that cover 'Tusk, you must!'. It was so symbolic. We remember famous statements about our media. Generally, I think that currently we have much greater pluralism in the media and much greater freedom of speech in relation to the Platform's governments – he continued.

09:01

Bielan:

We Have Strong Private Media in Poland That Are Highly Critical of Us. Media Pluralism Is Certainly Greater Than Under Our Predecessors
- We have very strong private media in Poland that are very critical of us. So, this media pluralism is certainly greater than under the rule of our predecessors. I am happy about that. Anyone with different political views can choose their station and listen to what they have to say - stated Adam Bielan in a conversation with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

09:55

Brejza:

We're Launching 'Stronger Together' Campaign. We'll Be Across Poland. We Encourage All People of Good Will to Join Us
We're launching the 'Stronger Together' campaign. We will be present across all of Poland. This is a continuation of our campaign operations, an open campaign, a joint campaign with all people of good will. Anyone who wants to support the Civic Coalition's campaign can contact us; we are launching a hotline. Because these are the most important elections since 1989, elections for everything. We hear about PiS's ideas to raise ZUS contributions. We see the dire state of our healthcare system. We see the attacks on democracy. We hear about plans to politicize the media. It's time to say stop to this politics of hate, this politics of slander, this politics of dividing Poles. We can only achieve this by being together. We're setting off today in a bus, launching a hotline, and encouraging all people of good will to get in touch with us so we can work together in the campaign – said Krzysztof Brejza during a press conference in front of the Sejm.

10:03

Brejza to TVP Journalist: I Will Not Talk to You, I Will Not Answer Your Questions. You Have Crossed All Boundaries in Attacks on Me, My Father, My Wife, My Closest Relatives, and Even My Mother

- I will not talk to you, I will not answer your questions. You have crossed all boundaries in attacks on me, on my father, on my wife, on my closest relatives, and even on my mother. All boundaries have been crossed by you, and I will not answer your questions - said Krzysztof Brejza, addressing a TVP journalist during a press conference in front of the Sejm.

Fogiel:

As Poland, We're in a Situation Where Many Adverse Left-Liberal Trends Observed in the West, Attacking the Foundations of Society and Family as We Know It, Haven't Actually Reached Poland
“I would disagree with Ms. Kidawa-Błońska that PiS is imposing anything. PiS is conducting a substantive, positive campaign. It wasn't PiS that invented the so-called Rabiej Plan. It's not PiS that, through MPs Szczerba or Grupiński, outlines what their plans are, only now they don't admit to them because it's before the elections. As Poland, we are in a situation where many adverse trends that we have observed in the West, left-liberal trends, which constitute an attack on the foundations of society as we know it, on the family, have indeed not reached Poland” – said Radosław Fogiel, Deputy Spokesperson for PiS, during “Political Quarter of an Hour” on TVP1.

10:17

Fogiel:

There Will Be No Civil Partnerships

"As PiS, we are drawing a clear line. There will be no implementation of what is journalistically referred to as the Rabiej plan – first civil partnerships, then so-called homosexual marriages, and finally child adoption. There will be no civil partnerships. We are not enemies of people living together, functioning together, regardless of the reasons or circumstances, having certain rights. The issues of inheritance or doctor's visits are raised, but all of this can be regulated within civil law, without the need to undermine the foundation," said PiS Deputy Spokesperson Radosław Fogiel on TVP1's 'Political Quarter Hour'.

Kidawa-Błońska Continues Campaign Tour: Today in West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Campaign with a Positive Spot:

PO Wants to Compete on Hate, We Won't Participate. We Have a Good Program." PiS Responds to the "Stronger Together
"Platforma is running the 'Silni razem' (Stronger Together) campaign under a controversial, hateful hashtag. We are responding with a positive spot about our program," says one of PiS's campaign staff, announcing a spot that 300POLITYKA is publishing first. The official presentation will take place at a press conference at 12:00 PM. The 40-second clip – which uses footage from the PiS program convention – presents the ruling party's key program proposals: raising the minimum wage, the 13th and 14th pension (emphasizing that the 13th pension will be paid out next year), and equal subsidies for farmers. The aforementioned press conference by PiS Deputy Spokesperson Radosław Fogiel, scheduled for 12:00 PM, is also intended as a response to PO-KO's inauguration of the "Silni razem" campaign today. "PO wants to compete on hate, we won't participate. We have a good program. Kaczyński's Hat-Trick – that is our offer," our interlocutor emphasizes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtComfr4kGo

Dworczyk on "Strong Together" campaign: We appeal to Kidawa-Błońska to disavow this disgraceful campaign and its exemplary online hate
Perhaps two days ago, Grzegorz Schetyna compared his political opponents, namely PiS, to a Prussian occupier. Not long before that, he spoke of locusts, he spoke of locusts, he used other offensive terms. However, we had not yet seen such actions from Marshal Kidawa-Błońska, who is currently the face of the PO campaign. That is why we are appealing to the Marshal to disavow this disgraceful campaign [Strong Together] today, and these actions which are an example of exemplary online hate – stated Michał Dworczyk at a press conference.

12:25

Dworczyk on "Strong Together" Operation: Civic Platform Openly Admits Systemic Use of Hate in Electoral Campaign

- We appreciate that the Civic Platform has faced the truth and openly admitted to the systemic use of hate in its electoral campaign, but this also causes astonishment and indignation - stated Michał Dworczyk at a press conference.

12:29

Fogiel on the "Silni Razem" campaign: This bus, which we've nicknamed the 'hate bus,' is traveling across Poland with this hashtag to sow hatred.

- Today, this hashtag #SilniRazem, under which – it’s hard to describe it otherwise – a terrible sewer of hate is pouring out online, has become the campaign slogan of Civic Platform. This bus, which we've nicknamed the 'hate bus,' is traveling across Poland with this hashtag to sow hatred - stated Radosław Fogiel at a press conference.

12:41

Dudzicz:

Until the Matter of Posts is Clarified, I Will Not Represent the KRS as Deputy Spokesperson and Will Suspend All Activity in This Regard
In connection with press reports concerning information about my alleged participation in online statements, which – as presented – may bear characteristics of antisemitism, I express my firm objection and regret. Bearing in mind the image of the KRS, I declare that until the matter is clarified, I will not represent it as deputy spokesperson and will suspend all activity in this regard. I also inform that I intend to take legal steps aimed at protecting my personal rights, which have been violated by media information – wrote Jarosław Dudzicz in a statement read by Maciej Mitera at a press conference. The KRS spokesperson further informed that “the presidium of the council has tasked the chairman Leszek Mazur to request the national prosecutor to present the council with information regarding the proceedings concerning the dissemination of antisemitic content online, in which Judge Dudzicz is involved.”

13:06

Lewandowski:

Access to the journalistic profession will always be open. No regulations concerning the profession will be created without dialogue with the entire community

Access to the journalistic profession will always be open. No regulations concerning the profession will be created without dialogue with the entire community.

13:35

Fogiel:

PiS Program Will Be Financed by Budget Revenues. This is the PiS Electoral Program, Not an Excel Spreadsheet

The source of financing [for the PiS program] will be budget revenues. This is the PiS electoral program, not an Excel spreadsheet. If the voters decide to entrust us with their confidence and we indeed manage to gain such support that we will be in power for 4 years, we will implement everything that is written in the program. There is no mention of raising taxes there. PiS has been the only party that has lowered taxes over the last 10 years” – said PiS Deputy Spokesperson Radosław Fogiel at a press conference.

13:36

Dworczyk on Proposal to Repeal Immunities: 'This Will Not Be a Unilateral Decision by the Prosecutor General. It Will Be a Decision Made by the Supreme Court.'

This is not a unilateral decision [by the Prosecutor General to revoke a deputy's immunity - as stipulated in the PiS program - editorial note]. It will be a decision made by the Supreme Court. These are proposals. They require not only statutory changes but also constitutional changes. A broader consensus needs to be found here. [The proposal] was put forward because we see no grounds for a parliamentarian who steals anything from a shop to be protected in any special way” - said Minister Michał Dworczyk at a press conference.

There is no provision stating that we want to strip judges and parliamentarians of their immunities. No, there is no such provision. It only limits hiding behind immunity. A parliamentarian, while performing their duties at the parliamentary rostrum, will still be protected by immunity” - added PiS Deputy Spokesperson Radosław Fogiel.

13:36

Fogiel:

A journalistic self-governing body would be composed 100% of practicing journalists, governed autonomously.

"At the core of this proposal lies a rather unsurprising observation: journalists are a profession of public trust, wielding significant influence over shaping attitudes and societal decisions. Recognizing the importance of the journalistic profession, our program indeed includes a proposal to create something akin to a legal, corporate counsel, or bar association – a body composed 100% exclusively of individuals actively engaged in journalistic work, and governed autonomously by journalists themselves. If we were to implement such a solution, and this is a matter for broad consultation with the community, then it's not a question for us politicians," stated Radosław Fogiel, Deputy Spokesperson for the Law and Justice party (PiS), at a press conference.

14:14

Tomczyk:

Minister Brudziński, the provision regarding the journalism profession, essentially imposing a muzzle on free media, should be withdrawn from PiS's agenda as soon as possible.

- The profession of a journalist in Poland was indeed regulated. It was regulated in the Polish People's Republic. In many places around the world, the profession of a journalist is regulated. For example, in Belarus. I don't know if we want to adopt either of these models here in our country. I will only remind you that the constitution clearly states in Article 14 that the Republic of Poland ensures freedom of the press and other means of social communication. Today, PiS is de facto moving towards Belarus. Towards the East, towards standards that should never apply in Poland – said Cezary Tomczyk in the Sejm.

- This is a simple step towards Belarus, it is a simple step towards the kind of parody dictatorship that Kaczyński is offering us. Today we are appealing to Joachim Brudziński with such an appeal, or rather a call to action. Minister Brudziński, this provision concerning the journalism profession, which de facto means imposing a muzzle on free media, should be forgotten and withdrawn from PiS's agenda as soon as possible – added the MP.

14:23

Kidawa-Błońska:

Brejza is our campaign manager and will remain so until the end

Krzysztof Brejza is the head of our campaign staff, and he will be the head of our campaign staff until the end of the campaign. He is on the road today, working with our fellow MPs” - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, the Civic Coalition's candidate for Prime Minister, at a press conference.

14:27

Kidawa-Błońska:

I wanted to ask Law and Justice representatives not to put the hashtag 'Strong Together' on my billboard, because that hashtag is not on my billboard.

I wanted to ask the representatives of Law and Justice not to put the hashtag 'Strong Together' on my billboard, which everyone knows, because that hashtag is not on my billboard. And my billboard was presented like that at a conference at Nowogrodzka. I would ask you not to change the content and appearance of my billboard” - said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, the KO candidate for Prime Minister, at a press conference.

To everyone who uses this hashtag, I ask you to be careful with your words. Let's be mindful of what we write and how we write it, let's not hurt anyone. Let's not deceive and let's tell the truth” - she added.

Czarnecki on Resuming Sejm Session After Parliamentary Elections: 'There Are No Hidden, Nefarious Intentions Here'
'Turning parliament into an electoral machine for the opposition or for anyone is not the right thing to do. We are doing this out of concern for the seriousness and authority of the Sejm, so that parliament is not reduced to the role of a banner or billboard in the election campaign' - stated Ryszard Czarnecki in an interview with Łukasz Kijak on Gazeta.pl. 'Turning the Sejm into a hostage of the opposition, where the opposition tries to treat parliamentary work as a form of electoral ammunition, is unacceptable' - he continued. 'There are no hidden, nefarious intentions here. We did not want the Sejm to become an electoral machine' - emphasized the PiS politician. When asked if he could promise that no new law, previously unknown, would be passed during this Sejm session, he replied: 'I am convinced that this will not happen. There will be new laws, but in the new Sejm term. I absolutely do not believe in that.'

17:53

PMM:

We Will Stand Guard Over Normalcy. Our Political Competitors Want to Serve Us a Cultural Revolution, Some Ideological Whims. We Don't Want That.

- PiS will continue to stand guard over Polish families, the Polish economy, Polish capital, Polish values, and we will simply stand guard over normalcy. Our political competitors want to serve us a cultural revolution, some ideological whims, imported from the West. We don't want that. We want normalcy, and if there's a revolution, let it be a revolution of dignity – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Pajęczno.

17:58

PM:

I Spoke With Entrepreneurs About Minimum Wage Today. They Weren't Big Businessmen, Just Small, Micro, Medium. Not One Signaled the 2600, 3000 PLN Problem To Me

- Today I spoke with entrepreneurs about the minimum wage. They weren't big entrepreneurs, just small, micro, medium ones. Not one signaled to me, not a single one signaled to me this problem of 2600, 3000 PLN. Because one even told me that even in such districts they have to pay employees more, and that is our economic philosophy. We want people to earn more. European-ness in practice means higher salaries. This is PiS's program - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Pajęczno.

19:43

Czarzasty:

Lewica Lists Have 48% Women. Regarding Top Spots, We Likely Have the Most, But It's Still Not Enough. This is SLD's Fault

- Not enough [women have top spots on the Lewica lists]. Ladies and gentlemen, 48% of candidates on the Lewica lists are women. When it comes to the top positions, we likely have the largest number, but indeed, it's not enough. And this is SLD's fault – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program “Wydarzenia i opinie” (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

19:51

Czarzasty:

I will dream of left-wing consolidation. I will urge my colleagues, both Adrian and Robert, to do so.

- I will dream of left-wing consolidation. I will urge my colleagues, both Adrian and Robert, to do so. It's their parties' decision, of course, but I think we first need to get into the Sejm. I think it's going well, and then I will, however, be a supporter of consolidation - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

19:54

Czarzasty:

Kwaśniewski Begins Strong Support for the Left List

- Kwaśniewski is beginning to strongly support the Left list. There will be a big push in Olsztyn this Friday - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

Kantar Poll: PiS Holds 16-Point Lead Over Civic Coalition

Here are the results of the latest September Kantar poll:

PiS - 40% (+2)

PO-KO - 24% (-2)

Lewica - 11% (+1)

PSL - 6% (+1)

Konfederacja - 2% (-1%)

Undecided - 17%

As reported, "the poll, conducted as part of the monthly Omnibus Kantar survey from September 6-11, surveyed a nationwide, representative sample of 975 Polish residents aged 18 and over. Party preferences were investigated among 645 individuals who declared a 'definite' or 'rather' intention to participate in the elections."

20:06

Czarzasty:

Poles Haven't Truly Recognized Kidawa-Błońska's Impact; Schetyna Still Calls the Shots

- Judging by the polls conducted after Mrs. Kidawa-Błońska's support for the Civic Platform, the answer is no. The democratic side should cooperate with each other, but I think Poles haven't truly appreciated the real change that Mrs. Kidawa-Błońska is currently driving the party. Because I think we still see Grzegorz Schetyna, and he is the one making the decisions, certainly making them - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on Polsat News's program 'Wydarzenia i opinie' (Events and Opinions).

20:11

Piotr Duda: PO is an anti-worker, anti-union, and I'm not afraid to say, anti-social party

Observing the actions of Civic Platform, especially those of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and subsequent prime ministers of these liberal governments, one must even go back to the Liberal Democratic Congress and then how it transformed into Civic Platform, they are doing the same thing. It is an anti-worker, anti-union, and I'm not afraid to say, anti-social party – said Piotr Duda in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on the TVP Info program “Gość Wiadomości”.

20:13

Kukiz:

Shocked Media Are Just Now Realizing We Live in an Authoritarian State; Olejnik: But You Voted for the National Council of the Judiciary
- I am shocked that it is only now reaching the media that we are living in an authoritarian state, and it didn't reach them earlier that the constitutional structure allows any ruling party to function as an authoritarian party. Opinion-forming media do not pay attention to the fact that the position of the party leader is close to that of the First Secretary of the PZPR – Paweł Kukiz said on Kropka nad I. - But it was you who voted, I didn't vote... – Monika Olejnik interrupted Kukiz, returning to the topic of Kukiz's MPs who supported the election to the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS). - But if I hadn't voted, they would have chosen by a simple majority. Everyone agreed to that after 1989 – Kukiz said. - You lent a hand to the KRS, you voted – Monika Olejnik continued. - They would have outvoted anyway. Everyone, including the media and Civic Platform, consented to this system – Kukiz said.

20:15

Piotr Duda: Employers Should Clearly Understand That a Better-Paid Employee Will Be a Better Employee

- Employers should clearly understand that a better-paid employee will be a better employee. Productive. The point is that low wages are simply a barrier to development, and it's high time to catch up with that old 15. It's been almost 30 years since the transformation period, and it's high time for our employers to understand that they can compete, but not only with labor costs, salary costs, but with margins, innovations. That's what we should focus on - said Piotr Duda in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info.

20:19

Piotr Duda: Companies Fleeing Poland Do So Solely Because Polish Wages Are Now Too High
Enough is enough. Large corporations invested here only because wages were low. I dare to claim that some companies already looking to flee our country are doing so solely because Polish wages have become too high for them - said Piotr Duda in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on TVP Info's program "Gość Wiadomości".

20:48

Kukiz:

Of Course I Will Change the System. With the PSL and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. If We Become the Decisive Factor
- Of course I will change the system. With the PSL and with Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. If we become the decisive factor. What interests me is what's on the first page of our program. Neither PiS nor KO are capable of governing alone. The probability that PiS will agree to these demands is close to zero. If, before signing an agreement with the PSL, I ask the head of state if PiS will agree to even one of these demands and receive the answer: no. I am not going to the Sejm just to sit there by myself, but to implement these demands. In exchange for the realization of these demands, if they agree to a written contract, I will enter into it immediately - said Paweł Kukiz on Kropka nad I.

20:50

Kukiz:

From My Perspective, Whether Kidawa-Błońska or Kosiniak-Kamysz is Prime Minister is Secondary. The Most Important Thing is the Democratization of the State
- I haven't thought about it. For me, the key thing is the introduction of demands that democratize the state and allow citizens to be sovereign. From my perspective, it is secondary whether Kidawa-Błońska or Kosiniak-Kamysz will be Prime Minister - Paweł Kukiz said in Kropka nad I.

20:58

Kukiz:

I have a wife and three daughters, and I know they are definitely for in vitro funding. Olejnik: And the father?
- I have a wife and three daughters, and I know they are definitely for in vitro funding - Paweł Kukiz said on Kropka nad I. - And the father? - Monika Olejnik pressed. - And the father, when it comes to a decision, if he has the authority to participate in making that decision, then we will talk - Kukiz replied.
