At 10:00 AM in Legnica, the Marshal of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek, will participate in a consultative and training meeting with the presidents of Volunteer Fire Brigades (OSP). During this meeting, a report on the implementation of tasks by the National Rescue and Firefighting System in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship between 2016-2019 will be presented. At 1:00 PM, Marshal Witek will visit Rescue and Firefighting Unit No. 1 in Jelenia Góra, which is one of the four municipal fire stations in Lower Silesia. A ceremony for the handover of a new fire engine will take place during the meeting.

- I can declare that if PiS wins the election, then a 13th pension will definitely be in place in 2020 - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

Because a larger part of the funds for pensions comes from the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (FUS), and the funds are secured there. - The PSL, in what it says, may of course have its programmatic ideas [Tax-Free Pension], but it is completely unreliable. We proposed lowering the retirement age - we implemented it. The 13th Pension - we implemented that, and in 2021 there will be a 14th pension. Admittedly, not for everyone, but for many pensioners who have the lowest benefits - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

– The Governing Council was under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Gliński, but of course, the leaders of the United Right, including primarily Jarosław Kaczyński, autho­rized this text – stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet, when asked who wrote the PiS program.

- We want to change the Constitution. Jarosław Kaczyński announced this yesterday. Because all these changes concerning immunities, for politicians as well as judges and prosecutors, require a change to the Constitution. We don't have that majority - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

When pointed out that changing the Constitution requires 307 MPs, the PiS MEP replied: - We would need to have 307 votes on our own, which will be very difficult to achieve, or find allies for changing the Constitution. We will persuade parties that make it into the future parliament to change this.

- Just as is the case with other professions of public trust, lawyers, doctors, such self-governing bodies function and work exceptionally well. Many circles have addressed this topic over the last 30 years, the lack of a journalism self-governing body. If we work on legislation regarding this matter, we will certainly consult with all circles. Please be assured. - We want to propose such a concept, discuss it with the journalistic community, of course, and consider whether it wouldn't be possible to introduce some rules that everyone would agree on. The aim is to avoid situations where a journalist's abilities are abused for slander - said Ryszard Terlecki in a conversation with Paweł Lisicki in the "Political Salon" on Polskie Radio Trójka. - Our goal is not to limit access to the journalism profession or its mission, but to try to civilize this growing complexity which is social media, portals, that often allow themselves exceptionally unpleasant, disagreeable things - Terlecki added.

In connection with press reports concerning information about my alleged participation in online statements, which – as presented – may bear characteristics of antisemitism, I express my firm objection and regret. Bearing in mind the image of the KRS, I declare that until the matter is clarified, I will not represent it as deputy spokesperson and will suspend all activity in this regard. I also inform that I intend to take legal steps aimed at protecting my personal rights, which have been violated by media information – wrote Jarosław Dudzicz in a statement read by Maciej Mitera at a press conference. The KRS spokesperson further informed that “the presidium of the council has tasked the chairman Leszek Mazur to request the national prosecutor to present the council with information regarding the proceedings concerning the dissemination of antisemitic content online, in which Judge Dudzicz is involved.”

Access to the journalistic profession will always be open. No regulations concerning the profession will be created without dialogue with the entire community.

„The source of financing [for the PiS program] will be budget revenues. This is the PiS electoral program, not an Excel spreadsheet. If the voters decide to entrust us with their confidence and we indeed manage to gain such support that we will be in power for 4 years, we will implement everything that is written in the program. There is no mention of raising taxes there. PiS has been the only party that has lowered taxes over the last 10 years” – said PiS Deputy Spokesperson Radosław Fogiel at a press conference. 

“This is not a unilateral decision [by the Prosecutor General to revoke a deputy's immunity - as stipulated in the PiS program - editorial note]. It will be a decision made by the Supreme Court. These are proposals. They require not only statutory changes but also constitutional changes. A broader consensus needs to be found here. [The proposal] was put forward because we see no grounds for a parliamentarian who steals anything from a shop to be protected in any special way” - said Minister Michał Dworczyk at a press conference.

“There is no provision stating that we want to strip judges and parliamentarians of their immunities. No, there is no such provision. It only limits hiding behind immunity. A parliamentarian, while performing their duties at the parliamentary rostrum, will still be protected by immunity” - added PiS Deputy Spokesperson Radosław Fogiel.

"At the core of this proposal lies a rather unsurprising observation: journalists are a profession of public trust, wielding significant influence over shaping attitudes and societal decisions. Recognizing the importance of the journalistic profession, our program indeed includes a proposal to create something akin to a legal, corporate counsel, or bar association – a body composed 100% exclusively of individuals actively engaged in journalistic work, and governed autonomously by journalists themselves. If we were to implement such a solution, and this is a matter for broad consultation with the community, then it's not a question for us politicians," stated Radosław Fogiel, Deputy Spokesperson for the Law and Justice party (PiS), at a press conference.

- The profession of a journalist in Poland was indeed regulated. It was regulated in the Polish People's Republic. In many places around the world, the profession of a journalist is regulated. For example, in Belarus. I don't know if we want to adopt either of these models here in our country. I will only remind you that the constitution clearly states in Article 14 that the Republic of Poland ensures freedom of the press and other means of social communication. Today, PiS is de facto moving towards Belarus. Towards the East, towards standards that should never apply in Poland – said Cezary Tomczyk in the Sejm.

- This is a simple step towards Belarus, it is a simple step towards the kind of parody dictatorship that Kaczyński is offering us. Today we are appealing to Joachim Brudziński with such an appeal, or rather a call to action. Minister Brudziński, this provision concerning the journalism profession, which de facto means imposing a muzzle on free media, should be forgotten and withdrawn from PiS's agenda as soon as possible – added the MP.

We are doing this out of concern for the seriousness and authority of the Sejm, so that parliament is not reduced to the role of a banner or billboard in the election campaign' - stated Ryszard Czarnecki in an interview with Łukasz Kijak on Gazeta.pl. 'Turning the Sejm into a hostage of the opposition, where the opposition tries to treat parliamentary work as a form of electoral ammunition, is unacceptable' - he continued. 'There are no hidden, nefarious intentions here. We did not want the Sejm to become an electoral machine' - emphasized the PiS politician. When asked if he could promise that no new law, previously unknown, would be passed during this Sejm session, he replied: 'I am convinced that this will not happen. There will be new laws, but in the new Sejm term. I absolutely do not believe in that.'

- PiS will continue to stand guard over Polish families, the Polish economy, Polish capital, Polish values, and we will simply stand guard over normalcy. Our political competitors want to serve us a cultural revolution, some ideological whims, imported from the West. We don't want that.
