"You Can't Believe a Word from Mr. Grześ and His Crew; the Opportunists Are Hugging It Out with the Cookie Revolutionary." PiS's Motivational Spot Takes a Lighthearted Approach: "Nobody Won by Sitting on the Couch. It Might Not Help on Tinder, But Who Know
"Nobody won elections by sitting on the couch. That's why we're starting to upload campaign materials to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok [video app]. It probably won't help on Tinder, but who knows. And on the 13th, we're going to vote!" - says a resourceful activist from the PiS youth wing in the latest online spot. While other campaigns are just getting started, a few hours after a motivational meeting with several hundred regional campaign staff and volunteers, along with President Jarosław Kaczyński and the Prime Minister, PiS is releasing a video online to mobilize supporters for greater activity on social media. 300POLITYKA is the first to publish it. The format of the spot, familiar from Andrzej Duda's campaign and subsequent PiS campaigns, is intended to boost engagement over the weekend. The narrator, in a witty and lighthearted manner, describes key public issues and appeals for more activity. For the first time in any political communication, the name of the popular dating app Tinder appears, which in itself shows a significant level of self-awareness and a strategy to attract young people's attention. "Let's see how things stand," says an activist from the PiS youth wing in the online spot, discussing the competitors: "On one side, we have Mr. Grześ and his crew with no real, quantifiable proposals. This is the crew that voted for ACTA2, raised taxes, and raised the retirement age for grandmothers." The spot shows several contradictory stances of PO regarding refugees - "This isn't just about the issue itself; you can't believe a word Mr. Grześ says," comments the talkative narrator. "Another group, called the 'opportunists,' will do anything to keep their seats. They're hugging it out with the 'cookie revolutionary' who no longer knows what he wants himself." "And then there's PiS, who may not be knights in shining armor, but they are a hard-working, well-oiled machine. They are the ones who lowered taxes. They introduced a strong social program for children and a zero PIT for us," says the narrator, with a humorous graphic of PMM and a scene with the president appearing in the background.

Kidawa-Błońska:

Cooperation, Not Squabbles. That is Our Goal
I wanted to thank all the micro-enterprises, small business owners, IT specialists, everyone working hard in the service sector, because it is you who create jobs. It is you who employ over 4 million people. That is truly a powerhouse. And working people must be respected and appreciated. Those who perform the work, as well as those who provide it, because both are dependent on each other and must cooperate. You are also the heart of the economy and the strength of the Polish economy, and a healthy economy is not just bars on a chart, data presentations on a TV program. An economy is about jobs and a paycheck in your pocket at the end of the month. An economy is the dream of our children's future and a better life, and at its very heart are small businesses, small enterprises, who courageously and optimistically take risks. To start and run these businesses. And you cannot tell them they are not suited for it. In conversations with you, you often ask for my opinion, so I want to tell you. If you have a dream of starting your own company, I am on your side. If you want to find a well-paid job to provide your family with a good life, I am also on your side. If you get up at dawn to build a company and work from morning till night, I am also on your side. But if you are supported by benefits, but want to work towards a better chance in life, then I am even more on your side. Cooperation, not squabbles. That is our goal - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Civic Coalition convention in Poznań.

10:01

Kidawa-Błońska:

Thanks to the Civic Coalition's program, 6.5 million Poles will receive over 600 PLN more monthly
- I'll start with you, dear employees. I know your situation isn't easy, and that's why listen. Don't wonder what will happen in 3, 4 years. We know what to do to make you earn more now. And that, starting from January. Thanks to the Civic Coalition's program, 6.5 million Poles will receive over 600 PLN more monthly. Immediately and directly. This is guaranteed for you. That's almost 7,500 PLN annually. That's a significant amount of money. What's more, your boss won't have to add a single zloty to this. They'll be able to invest this money in the development of your company - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Civic Coalition convention in Poznań.

10:07

Kidawa-Błońska:

We will lower ZUS contributions for small businesses, they will be calculated from the minimum wage
Good craftsmen are increasingly scarce, and those who remain are being finished off by the government with high labor costs and wage decrees. Wages that won't go entirely to the employee, but to the state budget. It's from your pockets that the government is reaching today, promising a lot with money it doesn't own. Do you know how much it will collect from you for these alleged promises for working people? Over PLN 40 billion, and for you, dear entrepreneurs, a small tailor shop, bakery, shoe repair shop, flower shop, it's often a passion, but also a source of livelihood. For you, every few hundred zlotys per month has enormous value, and that's how much the government wants to increase your ZUS. We will not allow this - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Civic Coalition convention in Poznań. The current philosophy of the state towards work and working people must change. The Civic Coalition respects people, we have listened to you, and here is our answer. We have proposals for your employees, and we also have proposals for you. We will lower ZUS contributions for small businesses; they will be calculated from the minimum wage. You will gain almost PLN 2.5 thousand - the Civic Coalition's prime ministerial candidate continued.

10:11

Kidawa-Błońska:

Our Program is About Human Matters. We Understand That It's Workers and Entrepreneurs Who Build the Economy
If you pay CIT and your companies grow faster than the economy, you will pay a lower tax. You will have money for investments. No more blocking VAT refunds and burdensome inspections. Where possible, they will be conducted electronically, and nothing will bother you anymore. Our program is about human matters. We understand that it's workers and entrepreneurs who build the economy. And I remind you: let's remember, they provide employment for 4 million Poles. This is very important. We have learned our lesson, we have written this program for you, responding to your needs, dear employees, and for you, dear employers. You rightly ask how we will do it. I will give you one clear and honest answer. Through cooperation, not quarrels. Only in this way can we rebuild mutual trust. The government alone will do nothing. We will do it, we must do it together, because Poland will be better if everyone wants it to be. Because tomorrow can be better – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Civic Coalition convention in Poznań.

10:18

Schetyna:

Everyone Who Knows the Sound of a 6 AM Alarm Clock is an Enemy of This Government
Today, the current government adopts this role, for which working people, the employed, and especially employers, are the greatest enemies. Someone might ask why this is happening. Where does this ingrained animosity come from, why are they fixated on the working people? But it's very simple. Because a person who supports themselves simply feels independent. A person who works well also demands good work from the government. A person who knows they have worked hard for their own bread will not let themselves be pushed around. Because people have their pride, their rights, they know what they are entitled to. This is what the employees of Cegielski and other factories explained in Poznań. But today, this government also needs to be explained this. A nurse, who has knowledge and invaluable experience, knows her worth, her work, and after 12 hours on her feet without a break, she won't be convinced that her salary is some kind of favor. A salesperson with the gift of persuasion, a teacher who gives half their life to children, a workshop or shop owner, a company, or a construction worker who knows their job. This is the true list of enemies of today's government. And we could list many more. Shop assistants, warehouse workers, IT specialists, drivers. All those who know the sound of a 6 AM alarm clock, they are an enemy to this government. Because everyone knows their value, and everyone who knows that something is owed to them for their work, everyone who knows that without daily effort everything would collapse, every free person is an enemy to this government - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at the Civic Coalition convention in Poznań.

10:20

Schetyna:

It turned out one politician's shirts traveled alone by plane, guarded like a head of state. It's a comedy script, but it really happened.

- All politicians should bow deeply to these people, precisely these people. They should be grateful for what they do, for their work. They should care for them, make their lives easier, organize their surroundings. So that it is friendly, so that they feel safe, and above all, respect their work and their money. Since the authorities take money from people every month, let them respect the money they take from them. Because it is their work, their lives. And this government squanders this money as it pleases and spends it on trifles. After all, we saw and heard this not so long ago. Sending shirts by plane separately, in presidential style. It turned out that one politician's shirts traveled alone by plane, guarded like a head of state. It's a comedy script, but it really happened. Unfortunately - said Grzegorz Schetyna at the Civic Coalition convention in Poznań.

10:24

Schetyna:

The Insolence of Power Must Be Stopped. This Unbridled Behaviour Must Be Curtailed. Power Must Account for Every Złoty of What It Takes from People. And It Will Account for It If We All Meet at the Ballot Boxes on October 13th.
"This insolence [of power] must be stopped, this unbridled behaviour must be curtailed. Power must account for every złoty, for every grosz. For what it takes from people, and it will account for it, if only we all meet at the ballot boxes on October 13th. And we guarantee this today" - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at the Civic Coalition convention in Poznań.

10:31

Schetyna:

Working people, entrepreneurs, Polish women, Polish men - I want to warn you. Mr. Kaczyński is coming for your money

- President Kaczyński has a different plan for work. Working people, entrepreneurs, Polish women, Polish men - I want to warn you. Mr. Kaczyński is coming for your money. He said not so long ago: if someone is unable to conduct business activity under such conditions, it means they are simply not suited for it. This is how he understands the issue of work, and we will remind everyone and warn them - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at the Civic Coalition convention in Poznań.

10:35

Schetyna:

Are they planning to raise ZUS contributions right after the elections? Is that why they postponed the current Sejm session to the post-election Tuesday?
This process of destruction - the first step is the repeatedly announced increase in ZUS contributions. Are they planning this right after the elections? Is that why they postponed the current Sejm session to the post-election Tuesday? That is the question. Why don't they want to answer this question? So that on Tuesday, no longer worrying about the votes of Poles, they can reach even deeper into their pockets - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at the Civic Coalition convention in Poznań.

10:45

Schetyna to Middle-Income Earners: PiS Proposals Mean Stagnation or Job Loss

- Today I want to ask a question out loud: what about salary increases that are not minimal? I'm not talking about exorbitant earnings, which we know who earns them, who benefits from them. Only about those earnings that hover around the national average. Why doesn't anyone think about these people? Are they to work forever, to toil for the same amount? Since, according to the authorities, this government, we have almost caught up with Germany, why isn't this visible on our paychecks? Why have we only caught up with Germany in terms of prices on store shelves? So, today I am addressing people with average earnings. For you, PiS's proposals could mean two things. Either a freeze on salaries at the current level, because the employer will desperately look for funds to legally increase the lowest wages, or simply the loss of a job if the company goes bankrupt. This is your future under the PiS government - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at the Civic Coalition convention in Poznań.

- We have a different proposal for people with average earnings. Marshal Kidawa-Błońska spoke about it. These salaries must radically increase. Our plan is lower taxes and a higher net salary of several hundred zlotys for everyone. We also have a very clear, firm proposal for almost 3 million people running their own businesses and owners of small companies. I will repeat it once again: we will lower ZUS contributions for small companies. They will be calculated based on the minimum wage - the PO leader continued.

- If you pay CIT, I will repeat this again, and you are growing faster than the economy, you will not pay tax. We will reduce bureaucracy. One tax and contribution transfer from the payroll fund in the company will be enough instead of 14 operations per employee, as is currently the case. Tomorrow can truly be better than today - he added.

"The Polish Model of a Welfare State": PiS Publishes its Program

The PiS program – presented in brief at a convention a week ago – was published today on the ruling party's website.

https://twitter.com/pisorgpl/status/1172806676971446272

12:05

Szydło:

When we introduced 500+, the first stage of our program, there were widespread claims the budget wouldn't withstand it.
2015, when we recall and look back to that time, it was primarily characterized by galloping unemployment, poverty among families, particularly so acute poverty among children, marginalized regions, entire regions, especially provincial Poland, with no chance for development, and people who came to our meetings very often said that no one noticed their problems and the government didn't want to address them. They simply wanted a chance to fulfill their very simple and ordinary dreams: to be able to live in their regions and have jobs there, a chance to provide their families with a normal, dignified life. And this was the starting point for creating our program and subsequently the government programs we launched. Unemployment, a raised retirement age, poverty among children and families, lack of jobs, young people leaving for abroad in search of a better life. We had to face this, and at the same time, we were aware that the budget has its limitations, and an ambitious task was set. We had to introduce universal social programs that would level these differences, and at the same time, we had to find the funds for them within the budget. Until now, there was a prevailing belief, and indeed when we introduced our social programs in 2015, many experts also raised this point, that social programs are primarily expenditures, costs, and that the budget could not afford them. I remember when we introduced 500+, the first stage of our program, there were widespread claims that the budget wouldn't withstand it. Not only from opposition politicians – stated Beata Szydło at the PiS convention in Łódź.

12:08

PMM:

A Brief Comment on the Drawn Numbers. We Drew a Second Term, and the Civic Platform Drew a Fifth Year in Opposition

- First, a brief comment on these numbers drawn yesterday, because I think they are very good. Because we drew a second term, and the Civic Platform drew a fifth year in opposition - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Law and Justice (PiS) convention in Łódź.

12:22

PMM:

To Leaders of PO I Want to Say: Raising the Minimum Wage is Realistic and Beneficial. We Will Definitely Do It, We Are Moving in This Direction
Here, to our adversaries, to the leaders of Civic Platform, I want to say, because it was from their lips that the following words came, that raising the minimum wage, as we propose, is unrealistic, absurd. Well, it is not unrealistic, it is not absurd. It is a phenomenon that is very much realistic and beneficial for Polish employees, and we will definitely do it, we are moving in this direction – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Law and Justice (PiS) convention in Łódź.

12:27

Morawiecki:

Anti-Family Policies Strike at the Core of Civilization, Including Christian Values. Our Response: Valuing Families and Women's Work, Ensuring Full Pay Equality.

- All these anti-family programs, and pro-family, all programs that do not serve the family, are precisely a blow to a certain civilizational model, including a Christian one, but not exclusively, though very strongly based on Christian values. Our response to this otherwise valid observation that a woman often returns home and there performs additional work with children at home, our response is to value families and women's work, and our response in the program that lies before us is also to ensure full pay equality and workplace conditions between women and men - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the PiS convention in Łódź.

12:46

PMM:

No Country Achieves Success Today Without the Intelligent Hand of the State

- No country achieves success today without the intelligent hand of the state, not without the invisible hand of the market. It is precisely those who believe solely and exclusively in the invisible hand of the market who have fallen asleep, and their night watchman, the state, has fallen asleep during their time in power, and those hundreds of billions of zlotys in taxes, of which we have been deprived, were siphoned away – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the PiS convention in Łódź.

13:01

PMM:

Who Cared Better for Families and, by Doing So, Better Fulfilled the Constitution's Provisions?
I would like to begin discussing the issue of the family with the most fundamental legal act in Poland, which is the Constitution. Because our political opponents often dressed themselves in such t-shirts: 'Constitution, Constitution.' Meanwhile, it is precisely on guard of the Constitution, an article fundamental to families, that Article 71 stands, which states that the state is obliged to support families, and in particular families in difficult financial situations. This is the provision of this article that directly imposes duties on the state to care for families. Therefore, one can ask: who cared better for families and, by doing so, better fulfilled the provisions of the Constitution? Was it those who introduced major social programs like 500+, 300+, or all the others, of which there are many, and which redirected non-existent revenues, or rather revenues that ended up in the pockets of VAT mafias, tax criminals, and tax havens, and redirected them towards families? Or was it those who had their eyes closed to Article 71 of the Constitution? – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a PiS convention in Łódź.

13:04

Prime Minister Morawiecki: We are Defenders of the Constitution, Protecting Family and Prosperity

- The very restoration of these institutions, the presence of the state, which is what we have done since the first year of our rule, serves families. Therefore, we are defenders of the Constitution. We defend the Constitution and the most important provisions that state that the duty of the state is to care for the family, for the material well-being of families - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the PiS convention in Łódź.

The Left Proposes a "Pact for Women"

The Left (Lewica) has put forward a proposal called the "Pact for Women," aiming to address key issues affecting women in Poland. This initiative, announced via a post on their official Twitter account (https://twitter.com/__Lewica/status/1172811695296851968), outlines a series of demands and policy proposals focused on gender equality, reproductive rights, and social support for women.

While the specific details of the "Pact for Women" are not fully elaborated in the provided link, the general theme suggests a commitment to advancing women's rights and well-being within the Polish political landscape. The Left has consistently been a vocal advocate for feminist causes and has often highlighted the need for systemic changes to combat discrimination and improve the socio-economic standing of women.

The proposal is likely to encompass a range of policy areas, potentially including measures to address the gender pay gap, improve access to childcare, strengthen protections against domestic violence, and ensure comprehensive reproductive healthcare services. The "Pact for Women" can be seen as a strategic move by Lewica to mobilize its base and attract voters who prioritize these issues, especially in the context of ongoing political debates surrounding women's rights in Poland.

13:12

Kaczyński:

Our Formation, by Serving Poland and the Polish Family, Fulfilling its Commitments and Promises, Has Proven Credible
"Our formation, by serving Poland, the Polish family, fulfilling its commitments and promises, has proven credible. Without credibility, there is no democracy. If during election campaigns society is misled, if something is promised that is not intended to be done or cannot be done, then the act of voting becomes a fiction to a certain extent, a procedure, but in no way a procedure filled with content. Elections make sense when there is a choice between different visions, possibilities for action, programs, and different elites. If this choice does not exist, if in reality everyone is to say, and above all, do the same thing, then there is no democracy either" – said the Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński in Łódź.

13:12

Kaczyński:

Poland Now Has a New Elite Capable of Change, Alongside the Post-Communist One

In Poland, and we have shown this, alongside the elite created by post-communism, there is already a new elite that is capable of changing Poland. And this is what we are talking about” – said Law and Justice party leader Jarosław Kaczyński in Łódź.

13:12

Kaczyński:

After Neoliberal Rule, Post-Communism, and Late Post-Communism, We Must Rebuild Our Home. We Need to Care for the Foundation, Build on Rock. And the Rock for Polish Society is the Polish Family.

After neoliberal rule, after post-communism, and then late post-communism, because these things were intertwined, we must renovate, or one could even say - rebuild - our home. When something is rebuilt, one must primarily care for the foundation. Build on rock - as the Gospel teaches. Well, that rock for Polish society, the Polish community, and consequently - also for the Polish state, is the Polish family” - said Law and Justice leader Jarosław Kaczyński in Łódź.

13:13

Kaczyński on Raising the Minimum Wage: 'It's Not an Election Gimmick, Not a Gesture of Power, But a Need for Our Development'

[Raising the minimum wage] is not an election gimmick. It is not a gesture of power towards society. It is a need for our development. We must finally break the mechanism where we had work for low wages, low incomes, low power in terms of demand, the power of society, and therefore the need for cheap production. This need for cheap production also determined low wages. Those who invested here from outside also benefited from this. And in short, we had a vicious cycle mechanism. We must get out of this” - said Law and Justice party leader Jarosław Kaczyński in Łódź.

13:15

Kaczyński on Minimum Wage Hike: 'It's Not Directed Against Any Group, and Certainly Not Against Entrepreneurs'

"It [the minimum wage increase] is not directed against any group, and certainly not against entrepreneurs. We have done a great deal for entrepreneurs – both the smaller and the larger ones" - said President Jarosław Kaczyński in Łódź.

13:16

Kaczyński:

An Attack on the Polish Family is Underway, Aiming to Undermine Its Essence and Relegate It to a Mere Option

Today, an attack on the Polish family is underway. It is an attack that aims to undermine its essence, to make it, at best, just one of many possible solutions, not the best one, because it is supposedly burdened with a multitude of various flaws. It is supposedly something that infringes upon the rights, particularly of women and children, that it is a sphere of pathology – this is what its opponents say. Of course, there is no social institution that is perfect, but there is also no social institution that has contributed so much to the creation of the most humane civilization in the history of the world, the Christian civilization” – said Law and Justice party leader Jarosław Kaczyński in Łódź.

13:16

Kaczyński:

Tolerance 'Yes,' but Affirming Anything That Comes to Mind 'No.' PiS Stands Guard Over the Polish Family, Stands Guard Over Normalcy, Something That Could Be Described as Conforming to Nature

"We are tolerant. This is a characteristic of our nation and also a characteristic of our political formation. Tolerance 'yes,' but affirming anything that comes to anyone's head 'no.' I am saying this to assure you that Law and Justice stands guard over the Polish family. It stands and will continue to stand. It also stands guard over normalcy, something that could be described as conforming to nature" - said Law and Justice chairman Jarosław Kaczyński in Łódź.

17:21

PMM:

They Now Say We'll Keep 500+. It's Not Enough for Someone to Just Say It. You Also Have to Be Able to Do It.

- They now say that we will keep the 500+. It's not enough for someone to just say it. You also have to be able to do it. To pull that money out of the throats of VAT mafias, tax criminals. This can also be calmly seen on the Ministry of Finance's website - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Pleszew.

17:26

PMM:

If We Stumble, We Can Apologize for Stumbles

- If we stumble, we can apologize for stumbles. But it's not all of Poland that trips over these stumbles, over mistakes. The entire society doesn't lose, not all citizens lose - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Pleszew.

17:30

Morawiecki:

They talk about entrepreneurs now, but remember the rent contribution hike in 2012

- They are talking about entrepreneurs at their conferences and conventions now. But I remember the rent contribution increase they imposed. Grzegorz Schetyna's party did that to all entrepreneurs in 2012. Unfortunately, they raised it by 2 percentage points. This was several hundred zlotys taken from the pockets of entrepreneurs. So, beware of this siren song of Grzegorz Schetyna's party, Civic Platform - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated in Pleszew.

18:21

Kaczyński on the "Rabiej Plan": Partnerships First, Then Marriage, and Finally Child Adoption. Effectively, Children as Objects of Play, Objects of Satisfaction for Certain People. Well, No. Never.

There is a certain intention functioning in our public life, which already has a name from the surname of a certain gentleman. This is the so-called Rabiej plan. First, unions. What are they called? Partnerships, precisely, partnerships. Later, homosexual marriages, and finally, child adoption. Effectively, children as objects of play, objects of satisfaction for certain people. Well, no. Never. Children are subjects, children must be protected, children are a great treasure, the greatest treasure of the nation” - said PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński in Piła.

18:23

Kaczyński:

These Marches, Whatever They're Called, Are Proof of Our Tolerance

We have these marches. What are they called? For reasons unknown, they are called marches of equality or something else. They are LGBT marches under very strong police protection. After all, acts occur there that we cannot accept. Religious feelings are offended. They are offended in an extremely drastic way. But nevertheless, they are protected from those who would want to use force against them. And we do not agree to that. This is the best proof of our tolerance” - said PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński in Piła.

18:25

Kaczyński:

We Have No Intention of Affirming What is Unacceptable Through the State. No Same-Sex Marriages, Let Alone Child Adoptions. However, There Will Be Freedom in Poland.
"We have no intention of affirming through the state what is unacceptable. We have no such intention. There will be no same-sex marriages, and even less so will there be child adoptions. However, there will be freedom in Poland. There will be freedom in Poland in all areas, not limited by political correctness either, because this political correctness has already severely limited freedom in various places in Europe," said PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński in Piła.

18:31

Kaczyński on Professor Nalaskowski's Case: The Sickness of Political Correctness is Reaching Us Too. If We Win These Elections, It Will End. Freedom Will Be Legally Ensured
“We won’t have this here. They won’t force us to adopt such solutions [as registered partnerships]. Poland will be a free country. Because this sickness [of political correctness] is also reaching us, as evidenced by the recent suspension of a well-known professor, an outstanding educator, and also a publicist [Aleksander Nalaskowski], I can say one thing. If we win these elections, it will end. Freedom will be legally ensured” - said PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński in Piła.
