At 12:00 PM in Warsaw, the Civic Coalition's Program Convention will take place. Also at 12:00 PM, the parliamentary inquiry committee on VAT will convene to consider amendments to the draft position of the committee, followed by its adoption.

At 10:00 AM, ZNP (Polish Teachers' Union) head Sławomir Broniarz will hold a press conference regarding the situation in education at the start of the new school year. Also at 10:00 AM, a press conference will inaugurate the PSL's (Polish People's Party) election campaign in Masovia, with the participation of PSL President Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Marshal Adam Struzik.

„It's a shame that the Marshal [Kidawa-Błońska] wasn't in Krynica with concrete economic theses. Such a debate on economic issues, because I think the campaign should revolve around that” - said government spokesman Minister Piotr Müller in an interview with Jedynka radio.

„No debate can be ruled out. An electoral program first, because for now there's nothing to debate. Otherwise we'll debate slogans, and that's not the point. I think Poles want debates about electoral programs and about what can realistically be done, not about lofty slogans without specifics” - said government spokesperson, Minister Piotr Müller, on Radio Jedynka. 

- This government would be credible if it attached thousands of wagons of Russian coal, imported coal, to those cisterns of shame. With inscriptions 'Russian coal - Polish death'. Russian coal is responsible for 40% of smog, not Polish coal - said Marek Sawicki in an interview with Marcin Wikło on TVP1's "Political Quarter Hour".

„One must listen to the absurdity of this situation. We, as the Law and Justice government, are rescuing the situation of the Vistula being poisoned and polluted, and someone is claiming that the problem is whether someone lacks administrative consent to urgently lay a pipeline on a pontoon bridge in a crisis. This demonstrates the absurdity of the situation. I hope that the capital city of Warsaw will draw conclusions and consequences against those who managed the sewage treatment plant, because one vice-president is not enough” - said government spokesperson, Minister Piotr Müller, on Radio Jedynka. 

- I understand Jarosław Kaczyński, he's a Warsaw native. He wants to block the flow of funds generated by greater Warsaw from being invested in the provinces, in areas outside of Warsaw – said Marek Sawicki in a conversation with Marcin Wikło on TVP1's "Political Quarter Hour".

- This was spoken about yesterday in Siedlce by Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński [regarding the separation of Warsaw from Mazowieckie Voivodeship]. This matter is in our program. In this parliamentary term, we achieved the division of Mazowieckie Voivodeship into two separate statistical entities, meaning an administrative division. Everything indicates that this will not be sufficient, because the EU principle is that these statistical entities should align with administrative entities. We are conducting discussions with the European Commission on this matter in the context of the new perspective. It is really about the new budget perspective and how Mazovia will be treated - stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon."

- We really need to wait another few dozen hours, until tomorrow. It will certainly be an interesting program. It will be interesting, but above all it will be realistic and credible, because you can create various programs and present promises. Just like each of us could sit down and create such a wish list, but our program and our announcements differ from the announcements we hear today – really a very large influx, Poles are bombarded with various kinds of announcements about how wonderfully they will live if the opposition wins the elections. Our program is realistic, based on financial calculations and state capabilities, because when we promise, we deliver. And our competitors, when they promise, they just promise – stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon".

- A debate makes sense only if two serious sides participate, presenting serious proposals for Poles. Currently, the opposition offers no serious proposal for Poles. There is no serious program. If Ms. Kidawa-Błońska today, or perhaps in a few days, some other candidate for prime minister, maybe Mr. Schetyna will reconsider and it will turn out that he is once again stepping into the spotlight because his PR advisors tell him to, and presents these calculations, concrete projects, then we can talk about a discussion. But not a discussion today filled with insults, the exchange of false information, fake news, because for now, that's mainly what the opposition is engaged in - stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Salon Polityczny Trójki," when asked about the debate between Mateusz Morawiecki and Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska.

- Mateusz Morawiecki is the Prime Minister and is our candidate for Prime Minister. However, speculating today about who will be Prime Minister after the elections is counting chickens before they hatch, and that should not be done - stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka Political Salon".

- We can certainly say one thing: Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska will definitely never be Prime Minister, regardless of who wins these elections. If the Platform and the opposition win, Schetyna will be Prime Minister - added the Deputy Prime Minister.

- Yes, it's about fixing what was wrong regarding the law, specifically the Constitutional Tribunal and the judiciary. These are health issues, issues for seniors, and also issues related to ecology - stated Tomasz Zimoch on Radio Zet, when asked by Beata Lubecka to list the six points of Schetyna's platform.

When asked for a point-by-point clarification, the Civic Coalition candidate replied: - But I'm not here to know and quote them point by point. - I want to tell you precisely that I have my own electoral program, and Schetyna's six points, and what Mrs. Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska will say today, these are the problems I have just mentioned to you - he emphasized.

- As a civic and independent candidate, I propose that all candidates for the Sejm adopt the political principle of fair play. A Member of Parliament must respect all voters. Not only their own, but equally voters of other options - Zimoch suggested.

- She will certainly bring something new and optimistic today. She will expand Schetyna's six points program. I don't want to speak for Mrs. Marshal, but knowing her, admiring her so far, I am convinced that this will be precisely the program - he said.

- I don't think the changes [in polls] will be drastic. It might be the case that PiS loses a few points, and Civic Coalition or The Left gains a little. On the one hand, we're talking about a few points, but on the other hand, it could be crucial, because it will determine whether PiS will have an independent majority or not. And I think that's what the game is about right now - stated Krzysztof Łapiński in a conversation with Grzegorz Sroczyński on Gazeta.pl.

„37% of Polish households have no television other than terrestrial television, i.e., public media. Public media have been conducting a very active and organized campaign of hate against all [opposition] politicians for 4 years. Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska is a different type of person who does not engage in such strong disputes. We are more able to imagine her as a person who creates community and unites people. Grzegorz Schetyna is a fighter, he goes for confrontation, and this differentiates these politicians” - said the leader of Nowoczesna, Katarzyna Lubnauer, in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- In my opinion, a presidential candidate must have very broad support from the majority or all coalition parties. I am a proponent of them going through a primary election procedure, meaning they should have not only political support but also broader backing. They must feel like a social, civic candidate - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Marek Kacprzak on WP's "Tłit" program.

- Yes, we will communicate this matter. We will suspend this boycott [of TVP]. There is indeed a decision of the national board. We must give ourselves equal opportunities in the election campaign. Sometimes it happens that public media reach certain places primarily, and we simply do not want to withdraw from the political debate, especially in the regions - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Marek Kacprzak on the WP program "Tłit".

When asked when there is a chance that the first Civic Platform politician will appear on TVP, the leader of Civic Platform said that the decision officially comes into effect on Friday, and PO politicians can be invited to TVP programs.

When pressed if PO politicians are ready to enter the lion's den, the leader stated: - We have no problems with this. On the contrary, we will be there to bear witness to the truth, and to not allow lies to be used.

- I would prefer to talk now about Kidawa's seven rather than Schetyna's six. These must be new accents in this program, and we are stating this very clearly: Małgorzata will have points that she will emphasize more than what has resulted from the work on this program so far - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Marek Kacprzak on the WP program "Tłit".

- If no new developments occur, the pipeline, both lines, meaning in full capacity, will commence operations tomorrow, by Sunday morning at the latest - said Michał Dworczyk during a press conference.

- We reiterate our appeal or stance and request for the city authorities to provide information as quickly as possible regarding how the city plans to resolve this situation in the long term - Dworczyk added. 

- Our program is the result of meetings with people, hundreds of people over the last four years. Dozens of experts, specialists, practitioners, and ordinary people wrote it - said Grzegorz Schetyna during the programmatic convention.

“Poland is a great thing. The Republic is a great matter. I found myself in politics, just like you, because I love Poland. Just like you and many Poles, I learned at home, where the state, responsibility, obligations towards the nation and people were discussed with care, and the words: righteousness, honor, honesty, respect, held special significance. For these reasons, I deeply believe in the meaning of public service and have a strong conviction that the best is yet to come” – said the candidate for Prime Minister, Deputy Marshal Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, during the Civic Coalition’s program convention. 

„I want to change Polish politics. I want politicians to stop clenching their fists and learn to extend open hands. I want them to learn to talk to each other, to stop spreading hatred to everyone around, so that Poles can finally spend their holidays peacefully at their tables and talk without arguments. I want politics to become the art of understanding, not eternal war. I want a new, bright, smiling Poland” - said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, candidate for Prime Minister and Deputy Marshal, during the Civic Coalition's program convention. 

„Mr. Prime Minister, Mr. President, or perhaps vice versa, it's not as rosy as in your advertising spots. It's not enough to show on television programs that everything looks wonderful. Poland isn't fixed that way, only where real life, real problems exist. Finally, find time and come down to earth. Get out of your limousines, away from your bodyguards, and listen to what people are saying. People are talking about problems that have no political colors. For you, it's politics, but for them, it's real life” - said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, candidate for Prime Minister and Deputy Marshal, during the Civic Coalition's program convention. 

During its program convention, Civic Coalition presented its slogan: "Jutro może być lepsze" (Tomorrow Can Be Better).

“We have a program. We have a very good program. This is my, your program, and the program of hundreds of thousands of Poles who have spoken with us about what they would like to see in this program. It is a very good program. We will introduce an act to renew democracy, we will fix healthcare, we will achieve a maximum of 21 days of waiting for specialist doctors, we will ensure a maximum of 60 minutes of waiting time for a doctor in emergencies, we will reinstate night and holiday shifts to relieve emergency rooms. We will reduce cancer mortality. We will achieve a low European level. We will secure funds for this from the EU. There is an education program – a smart, open school. There is a program to increase wages and restore dignity to working people. In Poland, work must pay off” – said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, candidate for Prime Minister and Deputy Marshal, during the Civic Coalition's program convention. 

„We will equalize rights, introduce civil partnerships, and combat domestic violence. There is also an important pact for entrepreneurs. There is a fantastic project for senior care, conceived and implemented in Poznań by Mayor Jaśkowiak,” said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, candidate for Prime Minister and Deputy Marshal, during the Civic Coalition's programmatic convention. 

- We will continue to talk with people, because new problems keep arising. Every day someone comes with new requests. The program must be dynamic and keep up with people's needs, and that's the program we will create. This program is not about our ambitions, but about the good of Poles, which is why we will continue to talk. And I emphasize once again that what has been given to people will not be taken away – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Civic Coalition convention.

- A legal hurricane has swept through Poland in the last four years, destroying the Constitutional Tribunal, destroying the independence of the judiciary, destroying the independence of the prosecution service. It has violated the independence of all rights enshrined in the constitution. Now is the highest time to clean up all the destruction that has been done. This is our first goal. We will introduce an act of democratic renewal. This will be a set of laws that will remove all violations of the constitution - said Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz during the programmatic convention.

- Goal number two is to stop the overproduction of law. The next Sejm must break records, but in the quantity of superfluous legal provisions removed, not passed - the MP continued.

- Goal number three is the separation of the positions of Prosecutor General and Minister of Justice. The depoliticization and independence of the Polish prosecution service - she added.

– Now I will tell you about a few points that I took the liberty of adding to the program. I hope you will like them. Firstly, I want to supplement the package for seniors. We have an offer for both active seniors, to whom we will grant a retirement bonus of up to PLN 20,000 and an exemption from PIT on pensions for those who are working. Because in Poland, we are living longer and longer, and Polish pensioners are indeed very active. But we are also thinking about less mobile seniors. In Poland, too many people face a tragic dilemma: work or care for their parents. Civic Coalition wants families to stay together. Nursing homes should only be a solution when there is no other option. A solution like this could be the voucher we are proposing, which will allow for funding senior care. The care vouchers will be worth up to half of the minimum wage, meaning over PLN 1000 – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Civic Coalition convention.

- I propose a package for women. There is still much to be done here. We will finally equalize salaries for women and men in identical positions. Competencies, not gender, should count in the assessment and remuneration of work. The state will finally be consistent in prosecuting perpetrators and protecting victims of violence, especially domestic and sexual violence. Alimony will be effectively collected by the state apparatus, just like overdue taxes. But what is very important, we will introduce a two-month paid paternity leave - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Civic Coalition convention.

- We will guarantee access to free in vitro procedures and the right to free pain relief during childbirth, and of course, we will implement all provisions of our January convention - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Civic Coalition convention.

- We will introduce free internet for youth up to 24 years of age. Digital exclusion is a much bigger problem than we think. We must give everyone an equal start in adulthood, in the adult world, and to do that, they must have access to the internet. The same, free access - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Civic Coalition convention.

• The foundation of our program is the 'lower taxes, higher pay' project - said Izabela Leszczyna during the programmatic convention.
• The lowest earners will gain PLN 614 monthly. An activating bonus. Over PLN 600 monthly is an activating bonus for the lowest earners, and mind you, this will not be a burden on the employer. What's more, not only the lowest earners will benefit, but all working people will, because work must pay off. We will reduce the public levies that burden labor to 35%, and today it is almost 50% - she continued.
• Self-employed individuals and small business owners, you will be able to pay lower social security contributions (ZUS). The basis will be the minimum wage, not 60% of the average - she added.
• There will be no corporate income tax (CIT) on company profits, as long as they remain within the companies and serve their development - she stated.

- Culture understood as an element of our society's development, but for me, culture also means freedom, freedom of speech. Of course, freedom of speech with respect for others. The right to creative experimentation, the absence of censorship – these are very important. I will also fight for culture in politics. This is also my task – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Civic Coalition convention.

- We will support transparency in competitions and the allocation of financial resources. This must be very clear and legible. There can be no ambiguities here. We will launch a rich scholarship system for creators. We will minimize the influence of officials on cultural institutions and artists – she added.

- I believe that together we will reverse the current negative course of events. We already have an idea, a plan, determination, and we have hope that together we will create a better tomorrow. We can choose this already in October. It could be as early as October 13th. On October 13th, we will change Poland, the world, and then all of us Poles will have a truly better tomorrow. Because tomorrow can be better - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at the Civic Coalition convention.

- We believe that local governments know better how to spend money and manage the resources they have. Therefore, we propose a flexible school structure. We suggest that the local government decide whether to have a three-year small school in a small town or a large, consolidated 1-8 school in a larger one, so that the local government decides how to spend money and receives assistance from the state – said Katarzyna Lubnauer during the program convention.

- The principle of a zloty for a zloty. Every zloty invested by a local government will be matched by a zloty from the state – she added.

- We are introducing a new point to the program. Free internet for youth up to 24 years old – she continued.

- To help with the confusion of youth and parents, we will provide an individual report on a student's abilities and predispositions. We will ensure this is available in the seventh grade of primary school as well as in the third grade of secondary school – she stated.

- We will restore pride to the teaching profession. Teachers must have greater autonomy, less bureaucracy, and above all, higher earnings – assured the leader of Nowoczesna.

- Nothing that has been given will be taken away. But we will fix what the current government has broken. We will equalize opportunities and ensure a better life for people with disabilities and their caregivers. There will be free medications, rehabilitation stays where needed, and respite holidays for parents and caregivers. There will also finally be a sense of dignity by ending the disability benefit trap. We must remember that the measure of democracy is our attitude towards the weaker, towards weaker female and male citizens. Civic Coalition has a program that will provide this support - stated Barbara Nowacka at the Civic Coalition convention.

Michał Boni, a former European Commissioner and current Member of the European Parliament, commented on the proposed idea of providing 365 GB of free internet access to young people up to the age of 24. He raised several critical questions regarding the financial and logistical implications of such a program.

Boni emphasized that the crucial question is who will bear the cost of this initiative, as someone inevitably must. He questioned the methods for calculating the allocated data, the mechanisms for monitoring its usage, and the overall feasibility of implementing such a large-scale program.

Furthermore, the MEP highlighted the importance of encouraging companies to invest in the development of 5G network infrastructure. He suggested that obligating companies to provide free services could potentially hinder their willingness and ability to invest in these essential technological advancements. This, in turn, could impact the overall progress and availability of high-speed internet for everyone.

- No, I haven't seen it. I really have very little time to follow the media right now. I'll probably catch up on some information on my way back from Wrocław to Warsaw. I can say that I saw the rule of the Platform, 8 years of their government, and today we are also talking about certain results of that rule when it comes to the justice system. If the PO had continued to govern, 1.4 billion zł belonging to drug cartels would have slipped through the fingers of Polish prosecutors and police officers. We wouldn't have been able to seize that money. It's thanks to the "good change" that we can seize this money. This is one of thousands of examples, which is why it was worth bringing about a change in Polish politics, and also the 500+ program, many other social programs that we are implementing, which the Civic Platform did not implement. I am convinced that the Platform's credibility, in light of their rule, is very low. I think voters are aware of this, even those who look upon the Platform with a certain degree of kindness. They know that the Platform says one thing and does another, and besides, people are best judged by their fruits, as are the results of governments. Regarding the assessment of the Platform's work, we saw it after 8 years. We remember, for example, referring to the program I mentioned here, the statements of Donald Tusk, Grzegorz Schetyna, and surely Ms. Kidawa-Błońska also spoke in this vein, that there are no and will be no money for 500+ in Poland. We proved that there is, that there will be, you just need to act, and the money will be found, and it was found, only instead of going into the accounts of VAT mafias and oligarchs associated with the mafia, it started going into the pockets of ordinary Poles. This is the measure of the Platform. If the Platform returned to power, I am convinced that - despite their declarations - this is how I assess it, they would quickly attack the 500+ program and other important social programs - stated Zbigniew Ziobro at a press conference in Wrocław.

„A happy twist of fate has played a trick on Civic Platform. Today, the most important event is, of course, our basketball players' victory over Russia. I heartily congratulate them. What we heard at the [Civic Coalition] convention is difficult to consider as something that could constitute any serious event. Civic Platform is famous for presenting a different election program every few weeks. We all remember the previous six-packs – Schetyna's six-pack, the local government six-pack, which PO local government officials are not implementing. A few weeks ago, we heard about PO's election program, also in the form of a six-pack. We understand that it was difficult to memorize those six points. In recent days, PO politicians, with Grzegorz Schetyna himself, have had trouble with this,” said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin at a press conference.

„We are asking about the credibility of this program. Does Civic Platform (KO) genuinely want to implement this program, or does it only want to offer empty promises to Poles? If we assume that it genuinely wants to implement the program, then we repeat the call to present concrete calculations, figures, and projects, and not just a set of ideas detached from reality” – stated Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin at a press conference.

„We are presenting a dissenting opinion to the report presented by Chairman Horała. We absolutely disagree with the theses presented in this report. There is nothing in this report about the actions of the opposition between 2008-2015, when those currently in power did not support measures to tighten the tax system in Poland. I would like to remind you that PiS did not support most of the changes we introduced, and very often proposed their later implementation. This is absent from Chairman Horała's report. What we have is a smear campaign, half-truths, lies, and a ridiculous recommendation regarding the State Tribunal that mocks the entire committee, the chairman, and the PiS majority” – said Zbigniew Konwiński from Civic Platform (PO) at a press conference in the Sejm.

The Civic Coalition has announced activities for tomorrow in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship as part of the #YourStaff campaign, featuring Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Civic Platform leader Grzegorz Schetyna, and Civic Coalition candidates for the Sejm and Senate.

A press conference will be held in Wałbrzych at 10:00 AM, marking the inauguration of Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska's bus campaign. A press conference will take place in Wrocław at 12:30 PM, followed by meetings with residents in Legnica at 2:15 PM, and another press conference at 2:45 PM. The final scheduled event is the Złotoryja County Harvest Festival in Leszczyna at 3:30 PM.

- I hope that on October 14th, together with the PSL, we will be the deciding factor and thanks to this, we will manage to introduce the demands for 'Pension without Tax', the demand for the possibility of recalling an MP during their term, the demand for changing the electoral law to grant all citizens passive electoral rights, and the exemption or voluntariness of ZUS contributions for micro-entrepreneurs. I hope this union will last and lead to precisely these changes that are key for the citizens of the Republic of Poland - stated Paweł Kukiz in an interview with Bartosz Kurek on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- Is 10% too little? No. It all depends on a certain kind of calculation. It might turn out that neither option will be able to govern alone. It might turn out that it's precisely these 6% that will be missing from the major political parties, and in that case, the condition for cooperating with this party, for helping this party form a government, would be precisely the implementation of these key postulates - stated Paweł Kukiz in an interview with Bartosz Kurek on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" program.

- This whole charade with putting forward Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, announcing her as a candidate for Prime Minister, I remember Grzegorz Schetyna accusing Kaczyński of hiding behind Beata Szydło. He's doing exactly the same, putting forward Mrs. Kidawa-Błońska - stated Paweł Kukiz in an interview with Bartosz Kurek on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- It will cost several dozen billion zlotys. I don't have a single sum at this moment. Not 100 billion zlotys. However, this money will be available. Firstly, there will be savings on what PiS is senselessly spending on. On themselves, on propaganda, on earthworks. Secondly, we will reduce the grey economy. Thirdly, there will be a better investment climate. Fourthly, we will encourage those who are outside the labor market to work - said Marcin Święcicki in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

- Everything points to these being just more empty promises. For a while, we were fed the so-called Schetyna's six-pack. Although it turned out that Schetyna himself forgot what was in that six-pack - said Zbigniew Kuźmiuk in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

- The Law and Justice party (PiS) knows how to give away money that we Poles earn. Thanks to the [tax] loophole closures that we already prepared. We implemented quite a lot of those solutions. Giving away money earned by us isn't such a great feat - said Marcin Święcicki in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

"Tomorrow could indeed be better, because tomorrow is the convention of the Law and Justice party, because a realistic program will be presented," said Zbigniew Kuźmiuk in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the "Events and Opinions" program on Polsat News.

„There is a whole team. The Act of Democratic Renewal – the most distinguished lawyers, also very well-known ones, worked on this. This is, first of all, the restoration of elementary order in the judiciary, meaning an end to pretending that Zbigniew Ziobro carried out some judicial reform. He simply carried out a party takeover of the courts. The substitute judges will be dismissed from the Constitutional Tribunal. The Tribunal will have its independence restored. Politicians will no longer head the National Council of the Judiciary, which selects other judicial bodies. The Supreme Court will assume administrative control over the courts” – said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Piotr Marciniak in „Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.

“This committee [on VAT] is a fiction. [The final report] is purely political maneuvering. In 2018, 18 billion [złoty] disappeared from the VAT in the Polish budget. Does this mean that these 18 billion were stolen by PiS? And the waste mafias, genuine waste mafias, which are flooding Poland with waste from Nigeria, and it turns out that for years this government has been incapable of stopping this practice. Should we then assume that the government is corrupted by this mafia?” - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Piotr Marciniak on “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.

"The most significant budgetary burden is the 'Lower Taxes, Higher Wages' program. It concerns the lowest-earning Poles, who are to receive over 600 zlotys per month so that their lower salaries do not push them out of the labor market.
