„Fortunately, we managed to introduce an amendment to the act in the Sejm, which grants 500 zlotys to every disabled person. Now, this amendment granting this additional benefit is being reversed in the Senate. It’s turning the cat upside down, while also saying that disabled people will receive the benefits they are entitled to. Therefore, if the amendment proposed by the senators passes in the Senate, it will mean that they will receive less than what was outlined in the Sejm submission. PiS will take away what Civic Platform granted to the disabled in the Sejm. We are firmly on the side of the disabled. We will defend what came out of the Sejm and went to the Senate. We will defend the PO’s proposal and we hope that PiS in the Senate will adopt our position” - said Senator Bogdan Klich at a press conference in the Sejm.
