Civic Platform Asks: 'Who Pays Morawiecki? Who is His Employer?' Amidst Speculation of 'Financial Benefit' Linked to Premier's Banking Past
“As the Civic Platform parliamentary club, we demanded information from the government on this matter. We submitted a request to the Marshal of the Sejm to expand the agenda to include information on this issue, so that all clubs could express their views and the public could learn this information. We were prevented from doing so, and the impression remains that someone is trying to hide certain things in this matter or not tell the whole truth, when the public deserves reliable information on this. Another day has passed since the publications appeared, reporting on an alleged agreement or decision by the bank, the former employer of Prime Minister Morawiecki, granting the prime minister a bonus, a financial benefit related to his previous work,” stated Sławomir Nitras from Civic Platform during a press conference in the Sejm. “We have information that a serious financial institution, directly dependent on the prime minister, is providing some benefits to the prime minister. Serious doubts arise as to who is paying Prime Minister Morawiecki, who is Prime Minister Morawiecki’s employer. It is in the interest of the Polish state and Prime Minister Morawiecki to cut short speculation on this matter.”
