“The prosecution is rightly conducting proceedings concerning losses exceeding PLN 2 billion as a result of carelessness, unreliability, and a lack of due diligence on the part of the KNF” – said Minister Zbigniew Ziobro at a press conference – “The President of NIK stated in a report that the actions [of the presidents] were delayed. The KNF, with the same personnel, namely Mr. Jakubiak and Mr. Kwaśniak, according to the President of NIK, failed to exercise due diligence in the opinions provided in August 2015 to the NBP and the Ministry of Finance, thereby exposing the State Treasury to the risk of very serious financial losses, amounting to hundreds of millions of zlotys”.
