Civic Platform Demands Andruszkiewicz's Resignation and Government Information on Prosecution's Actions at Next Sejm Session

On behalf of the Civic Platform club, we will submit a request to the Marshal of the Sejm for government information regarding Minister Andruszkiewicz and the prosecution's actions. This information should be provided at the Sejm session on February 20th, and we demand full information on the prosecution's activities, as well as control conclusions from the Białystok prosecutor's office, from which information is emerging about the blocking of proceedings concerning nationalists, radical groups, and Deputy Minister Andruszkiewicz himself. A multi-year process, in a very straightforward case, should have long been closed in court. It is clear that the prosecution, and especially Ms. Pieniążek, is doing everything to ensure these proceedings do not reach a conclusion. We demand the resignation of Minister Andruszkiewicz from Prime Minister Morawiecki. His presence in the government not only defies the seriousness and dignity of the government but is also a threat to security” – said Andrzej Halicki from Civic Platform at a press conference. “The situation in the Białystok prosecutor's office illustrates the scale to which society has lost any supervisory control over the judiciary, not only in Podlaskie but across the country. The prolonged proceedings regarding Andruszkiewicz only illustrate this lack of oversight over the actions of the prosecution and Minister Ziobro” – added Tomasz Cimoszewicz.
