„The legislator, who carries out the will of the people, and in this case mainly the will of the media, but the media supposedly represent the people, then you are satisfied. What's left for me? I am also satisfied. If you have obtained what you wanted, then I am also happy” – said the President of the National Bank of Poland, Adam Glapiński, at a press conference.

„Saying that it is undignified or wrong that we do not disclose, while salaries are hidden at higher education institutions… One must start with their own yard and tidy it up. We call for all institutions operating in the public sphere to present full salary transparency. So, maliciously among the bank employees, directors, and the management board, I threw out the idea that perhaps we should encourage 3,300 NBP employees to, under the access to public information procedure, flood institutions subordinate to Prime Minister Gowin with requests for information on how much public university employees, ministry directors, and various scientific and teaching institutions earn. Such an action was organized against us. Of course, I will not do it because, unlike others, I am responsible, I care about the good of the state, I do not seek conflicts, I try to reconcile these interests harmoniously. I will not stir up trouble against the Polish government within the ECB” – he added.
