Mucha on Concessions Regarding the Supreme Court: Such Changes Are Always Possible When Amending Legislation. However, PAD Will Defend the Foundations of the Reform
Regarding potential legal changes concerning the Act on the Supreme Court, such changes are possible. I also wouldn't want to speculate to that extent, as it could lead to the erroneous conclusion that we intend to make some legal changes here. Such changes are always possible when amending legislation. However, there is no doubt that the President will defend the foundations of the reform of the justice system. The foundation is the Disciplinary Chamber, the principle of zero tolerance for disciplinary offenses by judges in the Supreme Court, the Chamber of Extraordinary Review and Public Affairs, lay judges in the Supreme Court, and the extraordinary complaint. These are key issues from a citizen's perspective, just as changes concerning civil and criminal procedure are extremely important. We want Poles to genuinely feel that this change has occurred – stated Paweł Mucha in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on the morning program Siódma9, when asked about rumors that concessions regarding the Supreme Court might occur after the second round of local elections.
