“As you hear from my esteemed opponent, who represents Civic Platform, what he is saying. We will introduce, we will be introducing. Clearly, it hasn’t been possible to introduce for 12 years because Patryk Jaki, who is hindering them, has been governing in Warsaw. I would prefer you to account for what you have done so far, not what you will do. It’s evident that my esteemed competitors lack knowledge about sports. The decision to build the Legia stadium was made by the late President Lech Kaczyński, the agreement was signed by a PiS commissioner, and the dispute concerned a very controversial agreement with ITI” – Patryk Jaki said during a debate hosted by 300POLITYKI and Legia.

“I will remind you what symbol is associated with your rule. You can ask the fans. Operation "Widelec" or Maciek Dobrowolski, people unjustly arrested by Civic Platform, and Legia fans who suffered because of it. Today, sports in Warsaw are about parents and enthusiasts. It is high time for local government to become a catalyst for the city's development” – he added.

- It's interesting to hear an assessment of sports in Warsaw from a PiS representative. After all, if PiS had wanted what has been done, Legia's stadium wouldn't exist. Representatives of that party on the city council voted against the expansion of this stadium, and Minister Błaszczak wanted to complain to the EC about the decision to expand the stadium. I am announcing the need for new investments. When I hear something on this topic from a PiS representative, Legia's fans will, of course, assess how PiS behaved - stated Rafał Trzaskowski during a debate with Legia and 300POLITYKI. - During the rule of Lech Kaczyński, there were no serious investments, and the arrest of Tomasz Lipiec was a symbol of how PiS dealt with sports - added the KO candidate.

„I would like to establish a presidential council for sports because it seems that the sports community needs to be brought together and engaged in dialogue. „We still have problems with the utilization of European funds by some regions. Although I must say there has been significant progress. The Damocles sword hangs over us, on one hand the n+3 rule, the obligation to spend certain amounts by the end of this year, and the second related to the funds we have in the execution reserve” – stated Minister Jerzy Kwieciński at a press conference.

If we want to talk seriously about sports, and we are in the capital city, then let's talk about the details, not these populist slogans. I would have to ask this question: when submitting this motion, did Civic Platform secure the project and funds in the city budget so that I could vote for it? The answer is: no. I would really like us to discuss sports in an exceptionally serious manner. That is why I prepared for the debate and showed you with numbers why Warsaw's sports sector is developing disproportionately to its potential. I was the only one who brought comparative budget data from other municipalities today, and I showed how financing works in other clubs. I cited documents and analyses from external, objective research centers. I want sports in Warsaw to be taken seriously. That's why I want to make commitments. I will ensure that in Warsaw, funding, as it should be in other parts of Poland and Europe, reaches 5% of budget expenditures. I will simply do it. Secondly, Warsaw will finally build a sports hall, because Warsaw has long deserved it – stated Patryk Jaki during the debate with Legia and 300POLITYKI. - I will rebuild historical facilities and take care of Legia – he continued. – There is one symbol of Civic Platform's rule in Warsaw, connected to Legia. That symbol is a bailiff. I wanted to inform my opponent Rafał Trzaskowski about how a bailiff seized 5 million PLN from Legia. The bailiff is from the Śródmieście district, from Civic Platform. - Every Legia fan knows that if it had gone the way PiS wanted, this stadium simply wouldn't exist. And regarding the bailiff, if my opponent knew anything more about this – the basis for calculating the tax has just been changed so that Legia would pay less tax. Now about sports in Warsaw. Is it perfect? No, it's not perfect, and that's why we need to draw conclusions. We need to invest, and these investments, which we support, are necessary for that. A sports and entertainment hall, a youth sports center, or investments in Skra. Here, we need to use the best possible models, and with all due respect, this is not the infrastructure for Ekstraklasa - Odra Opole or Levski Spartak Sofia. – Just as Legia Warsaw, every team needs a good coach, so too does a city need a good steward. Patryk Jaki said he has experience in local government. I would like to say, perhaps it will sound a little immodest, but I have been working for Warsaw for 20 years. Ms. Lubnauer not long ago, in August, said that a lower retirement age is a defeat for the Polish pension system, and today she said that the retirement age should be higher because we live longer, and we will do everything to make people work longer. Schetyna spoke about leaving the retirement age as it is today, and Lubnauer said she wouldn't sign under that. Hence the question about credibility. They do everything for electoral needs, they promise anything just to retain power in the regional assemblies," said Deputy Marshal Beata Mazurek at a press conference in the Sejm.

"On October 21st, it is worth trusting PiS, because they keep their word in government and will keep it in local government, not the Civic Coalition, which changes its mind more often than a woman changes gloves," she added. 

"Once we have a stance, we will present it. We are still discussing it. We know the Minister of Health's position. Most of us support that position," said Deputy Marshal Beata Mazurek at a press conference in the Sejm.

In my opinion, it does not actually respect the treaties that give us the right to sovereignly legislate in Poland. Once there is a ruling, we will respond and comment on it, but we will certainly present our case again, and I hope that the CJEU judges will maintain their objectivity and will not continue to fuel the opposition in Poland” – said the PiS spokesperson, Deputy Speaker Beata Mazurek.

"The construction of the metro in Warsaw is under threat. Madam Mayor Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz and Civic Platform signed an agreement a few days ago to complete the second metro line, among others, with a company that, as it turns out today, is bankrupt. The company that is supposed to build the Warsaw metro is bankrupt. Who is responsible for this? Does anyone even check the documents they sign?" asked Patryk Jaki, the United Right candidate for Mayor of Warsaw, at a press conference.

"If these people continue to govern in Warsaw, the metro construction will drag on even longer. We have repeatedly seen sections of the metro being built much longer than in other cities in the region and longer than Platforma itself planned, due to the mistakes they made," he added.

- First, an intensive expansion of the sewage system and paving of all unpaved roads. Very specific questions were raised here about sewage issues. It also cannot be the case that there are unpaved roads in Warsaw. I announce that by the end of my term, in all these districts, such as Wawer, Białołęka, Ursus, Wesoła, or Rembertów, we will pave all local roads - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

- The second issue is more frequent SKM train services. This is a topic that comes up very often in conversations with Wawer residents. We respond: we will negotiate this. The city is ready to purchase more rolling stock. We want to expand the SKM network as part of the "Better Communication Capital" initiative, where we want to talk about a better metro network, new tram lines, buses, and also SKM. We will discuss this with PKP – Trzaskowski continued.

- Finally, the third issue. Very important for Wawer. Also important for districts like Włochy or Wesoła, and even for some parts of Ursynów, which is low emissions and the associated smog. We will fight against it, we have a very concrete program. Replacing stoves, eliminating all "smokers" (old, polluting stoves) in municipal apartments. An extensive program; a lot has happened thanks to Warsaw, thanks to the region. We want to go a step further. We want these subsidies to be larger, also covering the initial plan to switch to the gas network. We will do all of this because the fight against smog is extremely important. It is a shame that when we submitted a bill to the Sejm that would allow for a systematic fight against smog, unfortunately, PiS decided to throw it in the bin – added the candidate for the city's president.

„The question must be asked to the Platforma-led City Hall. How is it that only Rafał Trzaskowski is allowed onto the metro construction site? Where are the other candidates? Why is the City Hall campaigning for Civic Platform? When it comes to funds for the metro, let's be blunt. In Warsaw, Civic Platform has been incapable of looking after public funds, as demonstrated by the reprivatization scandal. Therefore, if it were up to me, I wouldn't even entrust these people with guarding goldfish, let alone allocating large sums of money. To be clear. Do you want the third and fourth metro lines to be completed? You need to vote for an honest team” – said Deputy Minister Patryk Jaki at a press conference.

- This act introduces a significant systemic change – said Andrzej Duda during the signing of the act on medical worker salaries.

- It was also highly anticipated by me. The act signed today amends the act from June 2017, which did not sufficiently address the problems related to remuneration for individuals involved in the healthcare process – added the president.

President Andrzej Duda has appointed new social advisors. The act of appointment to the position of Advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland was received by advocate Rafał Kos and Mariusz Rusiecki, the Chancellery of the President announced. The main areas of activity for the advisors will be issues related to the economy, local government, and economic law.

Advocate, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Rafał Kos, specializes in issues of economic law and international commercial arbitration. Mariusz Rusiecki is a councilor of the Łódź Voivodeship for the 2014-2018 term and a director in the retail sales area at PKN ORLEN S.A.

For me, the matters of Poland are most important, and I am convinced that for President Kaczyński, the matters of Poland are also most important. The tape scandal has been ongoing for years, after all. I don't know if the content of these recordings has caused you great consternation. In my opinion, there were no matters dangerous to the state, harmful to the Polish state. There was no mention of any actions that would be criminal in nature or – as they say – scams. I don't hear any of that. It's a conversation of a man who was, in fact, a businessman at the time, because he was the CEO of a bank. Today he is the Prime Minister, his role has changed, in Poland generally. - Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. It was a private conversation, surely no one expected to be recorded. He was talking with a group of acquaintances, probably his own, I suspect. It wasn't an official conversation held in public. It wasn't his public address. It was a conversation in a closed room, among friends. The language is as it is, it may not appeal to everyone, but on the other hand, let's be honest, people talk in different ways. Sometimes a person uses a curse word. I would tell the Prime Minister this: Mr. Prime Minister, you may not have been in politics for very long, but if this is the only recording on which you've been captured, then please don't worry about it at all, just do your job. Even if they try to attack you with it, and they probably will, because your activities have harmed many serious interests. After all, someone until now was stealing that VAT, which is now being recovered and becoming state treasury funds, as it should be. "I want to finish my term, for which Poles elected me. That is the most important thing. I hope I will do it well. There is still plenty of time [for the decision regarding re-election]. Already in the first year after the change of government, this number doubled. The VAT gap doubled and continued to grow afterwards. We fell from second to twenty-second place in Europe in terms of VAT collection. This is the period we are investigating.
