„I have named this program "Krakow Security 2.0". The first issue concerns monitoring. We all know that Krakow lacks an efficient monitoring system, one that would be configured to cover the entire city divided into sectors and have online reception and a single center for real-time analysis. Krakow has several hundred cameras, but they are not fully integrated with each other, they are in random locations, and this leads to incidents in Krakow, such as the sad disappearance of Piotr Kijanka” - said Małgorzata Wassermann, the United Right's candidate for the mayor of Krakow, at a press conference.
„We would like all schools to have cameras, and those that already have them to be connected to this system. This is related to the safety of our children, future generations. This is a very important issue. The second point is the matter of the ninth police station in Krakow. We have eight police stations. For many years, nothing has changed in this regard; the city has grown. We have a demographic boom, many tourists, hence two proposals. If I become mayor, I will transfer land for the construction of a new police station, and I hope the ministry will consider this in its map of police stations” - she added.
„Currently, the PiS government prioritizes issues related to the security of our small homelands, estates, districts, and cities. PiS is implementing a plan to modernize uniformed services” - said Minister Paweł Szefernaker - „*In situations where local government cooperates with the government, where there is a willingness, for example, to transfer real estate for the construction of new posts and police stations, cooperation will be facilitated, and police stations will have to be established in these places*”.
