They Siphoned from the Budget as Early as 2016 "After numerous inquiries, demands, and great determination on our part, we have finally obtained this data. This is a meager satisfaction because we are saddened when we look at the greed of those in power. We have received all detailed information regarding the additional monetary benefits paid out in 2016. In our assessment, this is the PiS's list of greed. This list for 2016 shows the true face of this party. From these documents, we know that the first payouts of additional money appeared when the 500+ program began to be disbursed. This government decided that since it had given some money to Poles, it would now start taking money for itself" - said Mariusz Witczak from Civic Platform at a press conference. "Now we know that 2017, the year of additional salaries, was not an accident, as PiS politicians wanted to portray it. It was the second year of receiving second salaries. 2017 was recidivism after 2016, when over a million zlotys went towards salaries for ministers and secretaries of state. In 2016, this greedy PiS government paid its ministers, itself, over a million zlotys.
