Trzaskowski: I would be delighted if PiS withdrew some provisions of its reform, the most scandalous ones
- It is noticeable that the atmosphere has improved [in relations with the European Commission]. That's a lot, and it must be clearly stated that Minister Czaputowicz makes far fewer gaffes than his predecessor. However, that is not enough, and Timmermans is clear - Brussels, the European Commission, and other institutions will judge PiS by the fruits of their actions. No one has ever questioned [the right to reform the judiciary]. I would be delighted if PiS withdrew some provisions of its reform, the most scandalous ones, which violate the separation of powers and judicial independence. If PiS, like Orban, withdraws from some controversial decisions, but genuinely, and does not attempt to make entirely feigned moves, then I will be the first to be satisfied with that - said Rafał Trzaskowski in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".
