Schetyna: We are a centrist party, we will defend the abortion compromise
- I would like to express my admiration and respect for the Polish women and men who participated in the Black Protest a year ago - said Grzegorz Schetyna during the Civic Platform (PO) national convention in Łódź. He added:
"We are a centrist party, just like the majority of Polish women and men. We do not consider abortion another method of contraception. We have never advocated for abortion on demand. But we do not agree with the elimination of exceptions in the abortion law that protect women's dignity. We do not agree with fanatics deciding about the lives of Polish women."- We will defend the abortion compromise, and supporters of liberalizing the abortion law should not attack us, but rather join us in defending the rights and freedoms of Polish women against the cynicism of those in power - he stated.
