"Abolished by the Previous Government." Morawiecki and Gliński Announce Increased Tax Relief for Artists
- As we recall, in 2012, the previous government abolished tax reliefs for creators. Our government introduced a bill into government work aimed at restoring these reliefs. We have been working on it for a year, and today we have the first piece of good news. There is agreement, a decision by Prime Minister Morawiecki, to double the limit from which 50% of income-generating costs can be counted, which I believe is good news for all circles of creators, artists, journalists, and scientists - informed Piotr Gliński at a briefing in the Sejm. As Mateusz Morawiecki added, this is possible thanks to the tightening of the tax system.
The limit will be increased from PLN 80,000 to PLN 160,000. The budgetary cost is approximately PLN 200 million. The change is expected to come into effect next year.
