-- WASTE CRISIS CONTINUES IN WARSAW - TVN WARSAW: “Garbage continues to make life difficult for Mokotów residents. Waste is overflowing from communal bin areas, not fitting into the designated waste rooms in apartment buildings. MPO reports that there may be as many as 150 such locations.” https://tvnwarszawa.tvn24.pl/informacje,news,wywiezli-550-ton-odpadow-ale-w-150-smietnikach-wciaz-pelno,268586.html

-- JAN ŚPIEWAK ON BUS STOPS AS OVENS: “How can you call these bus stops in the summer? #Ovens! They don't protect from the sun, they don't protect from the rain, they don't protect from the wind, and they don't offer comfortable seating. This is another example of the city not thinking about the real needs of its residents. Anyone who uses public transport knows that these bus stops are ineffective. Residents want functional shelters, not bus stop billboards. They need to be changed! #WarsawWins”. https://www.facebook.com/1478199488864945/posts/2057356767615878/
-- WHY SHOULD WE PARTICIPATE IN KOD MARCHES - YOU HAD HOT WATER AND DIDN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT ANYONE - Wiktoria Beczek on Gazeta.pl: “It's not because of a lack of proper civics education that we're skipping KOD marches. We're not there, because why should we be? To hear that we had a land of milk and honey, that young people lived wonderfully, that they had passports and could afford New Zealand, skiing in Austria? According to you, we spend our days sipping lattes, soy milk mandatory, and watching Netflix.”
-- I CAN'T STAND STALIŃSKA, I CAN'T STAND THE FEELING OF EMBARRASSMENT - CONTINUES BECZEK: I'm not with you, I'm not there because I can't stand the feeling of embarrassment when, in front of the Supreme Court, some woman confesses into a microphone that her young daughter cries before falling asleep, shouting "free courts!" and "constitution!". I can't stand Dorota Stalińska, today a salaried singer of "Mury" [Walls], who at one of the first black protests quoted John Paul II (who called abortion procedures "extermination camps"). I can't stand your protest songs, your mournful waltzes, and your self-satisfaction.
-- YOU HAD HOT WATER, YOU HAVE LITTLE DIGNITY - BECZEK'S CONCLUSION: “Dear Outraged, you had hot water and didn't give a damn about anything, and now you've decided to lecture us! I remember the self-flagellation, 'we were stupid!', which some of you repeated after Marcin Król. Leading figures of your generation said that the excluded needed to be reached out to, they assured that they would fix what had been neglected. But it ended with declarations. Today they speak in the words of Bielik-Robson: first fight PiS, and then everything else. You have little credibility and it's simply hard to believe you.” http://wiadomosci.gazeta.pl/wiadomosci/7,161770,23781918,list-do-obroncow-iii-rp-mieliscie-ciepla-wode-kranie-i-wszystko.html
-- IN A SENSE, I BOW MY HEAD TO KACZYŃSKI AND ZIOBRO FOR THE JUDICIAL REFORM - JAN ROKITA IN WPROST - widely quoted on wPolityce: “I must say strongly that in a sense, I bow my head to Kaczyński and Ziobro for deciding on a reform [of the judiciary] that everyone knew was necessary for a long time but feared like fire. For years, I participated in debates about judicial reform in Poland. And they always ended with the conclusion that the corporatist system of courts prevents any reforms. For years, it was clear that the corporatist model of the judiciary was a catastrophe. I remember well how judges blocked the moderate reform package that Minister Suchocka once wanted to implement.
-- ROKITA ON RZEPLIŃSKI: “Today, the professor only waves a banner on the barricades, and being on the barricade naturally excuses one from the duty of thinking.”
-- THE CHANGE IN THE COURTS HAS A CHANCE TO BE REAL AND DEEP - CONTINUES ROKITA: “There are two ways to deal with bad institutions: reforming them or personal conquest. In the case of the Constitutional Tribunal, PiS was satisfied with conquest (...). With the courts, it's a bit different, because Ziobro is not only placing his people there but has also attacked the corporatist system of courts. Therefore, here the change has a chance to be real and deep.”
-- ROKITA ON MORAWIECKI'S POSITIVE INFLUENCE ON PIS: “It seems that Kaczyński has succumbed to his charm, has great trust in him, and is able to forgive numerous mistakes. That means something. The probability that he will want to pass the party to him someday seems high. Despite all of Morawiecki's sometimes irritating manners, mainly rhetorical, I believe his influence on PiS is positive.” https://wpolityce.pl/polityka/407717-rokita-chyle-czola-przed-kaczynskim-i-ziobra-za-reforme
-- WE WANT TO CONVINCE VOTERS WHO ONCE VOTED FOR US AND THEN VOTED FOR KUKIZ OUT OF SPITE FOR PO - TOMASZ SIEMONIAK in conversation with Aleksandra Gieracka and Krystyna Opozda on Interia: “Our main goal is – and I see it happening – to bring back those who were our voters in previous elections and simply didn't vote in 2015. Due to their criticism, their disappointment. They once shared our values, and probably still do. We would also very much like to convince those who, out of spite towards PO, voted for Paweł Kukiz in the presidential elections.”
-- SIEMONIAK ON PO COUNTING ON VICTORIES IN THE LARGEST CITIES: “We are counting on our candidates winning in the largest cities. This is very spectacular, and the public will be very interested in it. In the 2014 regional assembly elections, there was a draw between PO and PiS. The fact that we govern in 15 voivodeships is thanks to PSL's excellent results. The results of PSL, SLD, and other parties in these elections will determine which coalitions will be formed and who will govern where.”
-- SIEMONIAK IS SURPRISED BY THE TONE OF DISPLEASURE WITH TRZASKOWSKI'S CAMPAIGN: “As the head of the PO campaign, are you satisfied with the actions of Rafał Trzaskowski, your candidate for Mayor of Warsaw, so far? - Yes. And I am surprised by the tone of dissatisfaction. - Do you have anything to fault him for? - Rafał Trzaskowski is achieving the goals he set for himself. He has held over 100 meetings in Warsaw's districts, and he has presented a program for the city.”
-- SIEMONIAK ON THE INTERIA JOURNALISTS' QUESTION THAT TRZASKOWSKI DOESN'T INSPIRE AND IS PERCEIVED NEGATIVELY: “The effects are not visible. He is perceived negatively, he doesn't inspire people. - PO supporters are people with a high degree of criticism towards reality and would like things to be better. The campaign hasn't even started yet. Trzaskowski cannot unleash everything at the very beginning. A fierce fight with Jaki is good for our candidate. If the fight had been sharper and more even a few months before the last presidential elections, the results might have been different. Trzaskowski is mobilized, he does something every day. But he also has a very difficult opponent, behind whom stands the government apparatus and TVP. Criticism of Trzaskowski also comes from your camp. The current mayor, Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, pointed out that he doesn't know the social programs functioning in the capital. - Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz is one person, and Rafał Trzaskowski is another. He clearly states, with all due respect to the current mayor, that he has different ideas for the city. It is known that when you hold an office, you always think you are doing the best. Besides, Gronkiewicz-Waltz has indeed done many good things. However, public criticism of a PO politician by the mayor doesn't look good. Is Gronkiewicz-Waltz trying to disrupt Trzaskowski's plans? - Open discussion about Trzaskowski is an advantage of the democratic camp. We don't all have to say that Trzaskowski is the best in the world, but he is a very good candidate for Mayor of Warsaw. This doesn't mean he will stop being criticized. Various people, very well-disposed towards him, don't spare him in private conversations.” https://fakty.interia.pl/autor/aleksandra-gieracka-krystyna-opozda/news-siemoniak-wszystko-rozegra-sie-w-polsce-powiatowej,nId,2616783

-- BŁASZCZAK ONCE AGAIN SHOWS THAT HIS LANGUAGE DISQUALIFIES HIM AS A MINISTER - JAKUB MAJMUREK:“This language was completely unacceptable for someone in that position. In Western Europe, even high-ranking politicians of the National Front, or another similar far-right force, would think ten times before saying publicly what Błaszczak said.” https://opinie.wp.pl/blaszczak-raz-jeszcze-pokazuje-ze-jego-jezyk-dyskwalifikuje-go-jako-ministra-6283933454206593a
-- MARCIN PIASECKI ON THE MON'S DEFEAT - writes in RZ: “It's true, on Wisłostrada and its surroundings, it will be difficult to see new, premiere armaments, because there are almost none. If the parade had a naval version, it would be difficult to gather appropriately presenting units. No newly purchased helicopters will appear over Warsaw because no such purchases have been made. And the role of new planes will be filled by VIP transport lounges and training aircraft.” https://www.rp.pl/Komentarze/308139933-Piasecki-Politycy-nie-od-parady.html
-- JERZY HASZCZYŃSKI IN RZ, THAT POLAND IS NOT ERDOGAN'S TURKEY: “Wags add that Kaczyński is doing just that, leading Poland towards economic catastrophe. However, such accusations have appeared since the beginning of this formation's rule. So far, they have not materialized. Moreover, the Polish banking system, unlike the Turkish one, is considered healthy. Doing business in Turkey carries risks that do not exist in Poland.” https://www.rp.pl/Komentarze/308139934-Haszczynski-Turcja-przyklad-dla-Lechistanu.html
-- THE ONLY MESSAGE THAT WILL REACH VOTERS IS THE MESSAGE FROM GERMANY - RYSZARD HAPUŚCIŃSKI IN GPC ON REGIONAL PRESS IN GERMAN HANDS: “If we realize that publishers with foreign capital control 80% of the press market in Poland, of which 75% belongs to German publishers, it raises concerns about the influence of foreign countries on public opinion in Poland. A few years ago, when foreign capital wanted to take over the newspaper “Berliner Zeitung”, panic broke out in Germany. If we add to this the high prices of paper, the disappearing distribution network, and quarrels 'at the top', then we really should start to worry. Soon, before the elections, it may turn out that the only message that reaches voters will be the message directly from Germany. And let's have no illusions about who the German publishers will promote.”

-- ROSATI CONTEMPTUOUSLY ABOUT PIS VOTERS: “However, I am surprised that the attack on the courts, the violation of the Constitution, and the weakening of Poland's international position have not reduced support for PiS. PiS's policies are clearly harming Poland, yet many people like them. I guess we missed something in the education of our nation...” https://wpolityce.pl/polityka/407728-rosati-z-pogarda-o-wyborcach-pis
-- SEBASTIAN KALETA CRITICIZED THE COMMENTATOR'S STATEMENTS ABOUT EWA GAWOR'S PR-COMMUNIST PAST ON THE TOPIC OF EWA GAWOR:“Inviting Marek Król to comment on Ewa Gawor's biography borders on sabotage. I know that Mr. Editor must comment on every issue, but in the sphere of attitudes towards communism, his credibility is zero.” http://wiadomosci.gazeta.pl/wiadomosci/7,114884,23782608,marek-krol-krytykowany-za-komentarz-ws-ewy-gawor-to-zakrawa.html
