- We are here together also with residents to protest against what is happening in the government. Against what has been adopted by the Council of Ministers. Namely, the provisions of the short-term rental act. This draft act, or rather the draft act as it stands, currently lacks the most important provisions – provisions that give residents control over what happens in their place of residence. It gives control to municipalities, local governments, housing communities. That’s all it’s about. We don’t want to ban anything, we just want residents, housing communities, and local governments to be able to decide whether short-term rental is possible or not in a specific location. People want to live, to live in peace, to raise children, to have a normal rest after work, and they don’t want eternal disturbances, quarrels, noises, shouts, drunks in stairwells, and who knows what else - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- In the short-term rental act, PiS will demand, in addition to the provisions that are proposed there, the introduction of solutions thanks to which housing communities or municipalities will be able to decide to exclude the possibility of short-term rental in specific areas. Therefore, not a ban, but the ability to make that decision at the community level. This is necessary so that residents feel safe in their apartments, so that we don't turn our housing estates, our tenement houses, our apartment blocks into perpetual entertainment venues without any control - the PiS candidate for prime minister continued.
