- We learned today from the statement of the spokesperson for the District Court that the court did not grant the prosecutor's request for a European arrest warrant for Zbigniew Ziobro. The arguments were that Ziobro is no longer in the Schengen area - says Waldemar Żurek in a recording published on social media.

- We respect the court's decision, but we disagree with such an interpretation of the law. In today's era of communication, Ziobro could be on a plane to Budapest or Brussels tomorrow. What then? We won't have a valid European arrest warrant when he lands back in the Schengen area - he stated.

- Therefore, after obtaining the court's decision, we will consider whether to re-file the request for a European arrest warrant. We have been waiting for this one since February 2026 - he announced.

- The law must be effective, and we must effectively prosecute those who have broken the law in Poland - he added.
