Czarnek:
Any equipment transferred to Ukraine must have presidential approval
- We have just received information, albeit incomplete, about equipment being transferred to Ukraine without the knowledge of Mr. President Karol Nawrocki, without the knowledge of the Sejm National Defence Committee, of MPs. This is equipment that, it seems, cannot be acquired today from the German Die Safe loan, specifically missiles, the most modern missiles for Patriot batteries - said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.
- As stated by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence Kosiniak-Kamysz, it was transferred in gratitude to Ukraine. We saw this gratitude from Ukraine yesterday when Mr. Zelensky thanked Germany for the Patriot missiles, forgetting about Poles, about Kosiniak-Kamysz, about Tusk, who, it seems, transferred these missiles on the orders of Merz from Germany - he continued.
- This is a scandal, it is disarming Poland of its most modern equipment, and at a time when the Prime Minister himself publicly declares that there is a real threat of attack from Russia, an air attack. This is an absolutely unacceptable situation, and it gives us grounds to firmly support the legislative initiative announced by Mr. President Karol Nawrocki, namely that any equipment transferred to Ukraine must have the approval of President Karol Nawrocki - he continued.
- We will advocate for these legal solutions to also include the knowledge of the Sejm National Defence Committee [...] otherwise these people, Tusk, Kosiniak-Kamysz, Tomczyk, are capable of simply disarming us [...] of the most modern equipment - he added.
