"The Polish Military Contingent in Turkey carries out key missions in the Mediterranean and Black Seas. Therefore, I have decided to extend the operation of the contingent – the daily service of our soldiers at the İncirlik base is the foundation of the security of the eastern flank and a real strengthening of NATO structures," – wrote President Karol Nawrocki on X.

"While fulfilling Polish duties today, on one hand, we ensure the defense of the Republic of Poland, and on the other, we build strong alliances. Soldiers, thank you for your professionalism, I am proud of you!" – he continued in his post.
