Thursday's Political Agenda: Constitutional Tribunal Judges' Swearing-in Ceremony in the Sejm, Tusk on the 'Local Content' Package, Trzaskowski's Debate with Berlin Mayor, Morawiecki's Address

Around 10:20 AM, a press conference will be held in Łowicz by Przemysław Czarnek, the Deputy Chairman of PiS and a candidate for Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk will participate in the inauguration of the government's "new economic philosophy" – "Local Content. Benefiting Poland." As reported by CIR, a package of solutions will be presented that aims to implement the plan for the repolonization of the economy, announced a year ago. The Prime Minister's address is scheduled for 11:00 AM.

At 12:30 PM, the swearing-in ceremony of the remaining four Constitutional Tribunal judges, elected by the Sejm but not invited to the Presidential Palace for their oath by President Karol Nawrocki, is scheduled to take place in the Sejm.

A press briefing is scheduled for 1:00 PM, attended by the Minister of Health, Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda, and the Deputy President of the National Health Fund (NFZ), Jakub Szulc. The topic will be the tender for selecting applications for co-financing support for the consolidation processes of healthcare entities.

At 1:30 PM, a debate will commence at SGH (Warsaw School of Economics) with the participation of the Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, and the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski. The theme will be the social and infrastructural challenges facing European cities in terms of defense, security, and resilience to threats. The event will last an hour, with time allocated for questions from the audience.

Thursday also marks the second day of the Monetary Policy Council meeting. A press conference by the President of the National Bank of Poland (NBP), Adam Glapiński, on the assessment of the current economic situation in Poland, will be held at 3:00 PM.

Subsequently, at 4:30 PM, Deputy Chairman of PiS, Mateusz Morawiecki, will deliver a speech during the 14th edition of the British-Polish Investment Alliance conference. The address will focus on the strategic challenges facing the Polish economy in 2026.

Today – as announced by the government spokesperson – Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka is expected to announce a decision regarding the introduction of mandatory health education.
