- I have decided to submit a notification to the prosecutor's office to investigate whether the persons responsible for managing the companies undergoing liquidation: Polish Television, Polish Radio, and Regional Stations of Polish Radio, are actually performing their duties, or merely maintaining an apparent state - informed the head of KRRiT, Agnieszka Glapiak.
- The prosecutor's office should also clarify whether there has been a violation of the constitutional order of the state and an unlawful influence on the actions of a constitutional body, which is KRRiT - she stressed.
"Placing public media in a state of liquidation gives the impression of an apparent action. The liquidation process has caused irreparable financial, organizational, and reputational losses. Public media have lost hundreds of thousands of viewers and listeners.
The Polish state cannot accept a situation where key entities operate under conditions that raise doubts about the legality of their actions. In my opinion, citizens have the right to transparency, and public media must be based on full credibility and responsibility from those managing them.
I expect the prosecutor's office to thoroughly clarify whether the liquidation process is being conducted in accordance with the law, or if we are dealing with actions that may solely serve to maintain a legal fiction."
