Miszalski Calls for Referendum Boycott:
Stay Home. Our Victory Will Be a Low Turnout.
“From day one of my term, I have spoken clearly – I want to be held accountable for the results of my work for the people of Krakow. Today, we are implementing many important changes in Krakow: investments in transport, schools, security, and public spaces. This is a process that requires time and consistency,” wrote Aleksander Miszalski on social media.
“I believe that Krakow deserves stability, responsibility, and the completion of initiated actions. Therefore, every day for the next 7 weeks, I will strive to convince you that it is worthwhile to let me finish my term and then decide what comes next,” he indicated.
“A referendum on recall always mobilizes opponents. That's how this system works. Therefore, if you believe that I should finish my term, stay home on the day of the referendum,” the Mayor of Krakow urged.
“Our victory will be a low turnout in the referendum and a high turnout on election day. The final decision – as always – is yours,” he added.
