Parliament has concluded its work on the law implementing SAFE - in today's voting session, Members of Parliament approved all 4 Senate amendments to the aforementioned proposal. In practice, this means the bill will now be sent to the President's desk.

One of the amendments - submitted by the coalition - stipulates that expenses related to the repayment and banking servicing of the SAFE loan will not be included in the minimum defense spending limit. According to the amendment, a dedicated reserve is to be established in the state budget.

Another change introduces an obligation for anti-corruption and counter-intelligence checks by ABW, SKW, and CBA regarding the use of financial resources from the SAFE loan and reporting on the conduct of these checks.

Yet another proposal expands the obligation to submit a report on the implementation of the Financial Instrument for Enhancing Security to Senate committees.
