- The first myth is that the SAFE program in some way threatens Polish sovereignty, that it is not sovereign, that it is imposed by someone from the outside - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the event "SAFE - Secure Poland".

- The SAFE program, from beginning to end, was designed in Poland. It was our initiative, our idea, our pressure. We convinced our partners in the European Union, and it was not an easy task, that the European Union must radically [...] increase its efforts for the defense of member states and that we must start generating [...] gigantic financial resources so that the European Union member states can effectively begin rearming their armies - he continued.

- The SAFE program serves Polish sovereignty. The European Commission, to the comma, to the very last letter, respected our proposals. We told Brussels how this project should look, not the other way around - he went on to say.
